Why do second chances have to come with complications?
Trevor, Prince of Lugh, had been thwarted from putting Pestale, the eldest Dark Prince, to death, but now he’s been asked to investigate whether the Dark Prince has evaded punishment. This time, Trevor plans to make sure Pestale is taken care of permanently.
But a simple assignment turns complicated when Trevor finds himself thrown two … himself thrown two hundred years into the past, along with Jazmine Decker, a Fios (Fae seer). There they encounter Pestale’s younger brother Hordly, who has evil schemes of his own. Add the Orb of Time, an eleven-year-old orphan with unusual powers, and an encounter with an evil wizard, and Trevor realizes his mission will be anything but simple.
Seelie Queen Aaibhe is at long last enjoying a second chance at happiness. But her love for Morgan LeBlanc, a Milesian, is the ammunition her political rivals have been looking for. Claiming her association with the leader of the Fae’s former enemies makes her unfit to govern, factions within the Council plot to remove her from the throne. Will it lead to civil war?
Can Trevor and Jazmine find the Orb of Time, get back to the present, and stop Hordly and his brothers from unleashing an army of nightmarish monsters on humans and Fae alike? Can Aaibhe and her loyal supporters hold the Council together and keep the Fae united against the Unseelie threat?

I ended up buying the series!
I’ve enjoyed reading the series of books by Claudy Conn she’s one of my favorite Authors.
Great book once you start you want to read the whole series.
It was easy to read and follow. Wished I had read them in order.
loved it
Only thing I DIDN’T like is that the story CONTINUES in next book.
The summary in the BookBub email was so brief that I didn’t realize this was book number two in a series. There’s an abrupt crash course in the rules of Fae culture early on, and the ending is a cliff-hanger (hanging from a pterodactyl more accurately) so you’ll have to buy the next book to get closure. Trevor and Jazmine are strong H/h; there’s …
First let me say this is not a full length novel you will have to go find the rest of it on the authors page. But it is very well written has lots of twists and turns that will keep you on your toes as you read it.
A highly enjoyable book on time travel, love, good and evil!
This is book 2 of a series, and it is definitely not a stand alone novel. The world building must have been done in this first book, because there is none in this book. Conn has written a hot mess of time travel/fantasy with this book, and I’m afraid with the first book as well.
The characters are oddly developed, but their arcs are good. …
This is book two in the series. I struggled to understand part of the world setting and characters probably because I did not rebook one. Still, and enjoyable read blending fantasy and time travel
The characters / clans have weird names that I thought were to similar to each other. It made it hard to follow.
Loved every minute of this story.
It is a page turner
Love this series by Claudy Conn. I couldn’t put it down. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat to see what happens next! Amazing book and series!
I couldn’t get into this book. Stopped reading it after the first chapter.
Started out goog, but I hate books that end in the middle of the story. Yes, it ends with the heroin being separated from her party just before a war with demons. Want to know what happens? Read book two! Really!
Loved this story about the faery folk. Lots of action, romance, and energy. Loved the twists, too. Real neat world building and it fit so well. Must check this out if you love stories about the faery folk, seelie and unseelie courts and their interactions with humans in our world. I’ll buy from this author again.
I love time travel stories! Add Fey to the mix… Extra special
hard to follow, some good scenes: unfortunately I’ve forgotten most of it.
The plot is good but the book ends and the story is unfinished. Not a stand alone read.
