Wonderful characters and refreshingly different story line
I love the believable story that’s woven in with a little magic and folk lore. It has sweet relationships in it and a little mystery too.
A book for every library
This story line was a refreshing change from the predictable fiction I have read recently. The characters were fascinating. I felt I was there in the trees with Harry.
This book was a delightful, light read with one of those happy put a bow on it endings.
If you’re lucky, every once in a while you read a book that you know you will remember and think about for the rest of your life. Harry’s Trees is one of those books. Incredibly well written, with a wonderful story and memorable cast of characters, Harry’s Trees makes you smile, shed a tear, and occasionally laugh out loud. This is an original story that kept me totally engaged from the first page to the last. If you’re thinking about reading this book, I urge you to do so. You’ll be glad you did.
I love trees and he lived in one, so it grabbed me and it was a very interesting story, tho unrealistic, but it was fun.
Like Overstory, the love of trees drew me in; the emotions of all the characters were authentic and real. The golden thread weaving the imagination of the little girl as she found her way of dealing with her father’s death was the same sort of magic that love is woven from. I had been reading Love in a Time of Cholera when I bought Harry’s Trees. Harry’s Trees won out of a Nobel prize winner when it came to pulling me in. Excellent. Loved it.
I read it for my Book Club and we all really enjoyed it.
I loved this book from the beginning until the end! The story is beautiful, the characters wonderful, the end perfect…
A sweet, sensitive, and heartfelt exploration of the aftermath of grief. This left me with a feeling of hope and validates the true healing power of love.
Believable characters struggling with authentic losses. A story of finding hope and a touch of magic.
