In the first book in bestselling author Lisa Regan’s new series, a one-night stand sets a detective on the trail of a terrifying unsolved crime.
With his career on thin ice and fresh ink on his divorce papers, Sacramento PD Detective Connor Parks goes searching for solace at the bottom of a bottle…and winds up in the arms of a beautiful woman. By morning she’s gone, and the one clue she left … clue she left behind sends Connor on a desperate mission to unravel a decade-old mystery—her abduction.
Presumed dead for the last ten years, Claire Fletcher has been living her life as “Lynn,” a woman in the terrifying grip of her captor. After her unforgettable night with Connor, Claire clings to the hope that she’ll see him again, that he’ll follow her into the dark. But anyone who gets close to Claire has a way of turning up dead…and she’s unwittingly made Connor next on the list.
Before long, it becomes disturbingly clear: finding Claire Fletcher isn’t just going to be dangerous—it could be deadly.
Revised edition: This edition of Finding Claire Fletcher includes editorial revisions.

I actually didn’t get to read this book I read the second book in the series first but the second book was phenomenal
Lisa Regan’s debut novel is suspenseful and keeps you involved with the characters throughout. A great start to the Claire Fletcher/Detective Parks series. Thumbs up!
I read this book a few years ago but still remember it clearly. It is a must read for mystery fans
I really loved this book! Kept me interested and wanting more.
A book you will stay up late reading into the wee hours
Regan brings readers an intense and highly engaging novel of suspense. Topics covered in this book may be unsuitable for readers who may be triggered by child abuse/molestation and kidnapping.
I highly recommend this book to fans of the suspense genre.
Interesting premise..a very dark one.. To her family Claire Fletcher has been missing for 10 years. But Claire knows where she is – living in a nightmare and hoping that one of the men she has one night stands with when her captor isnt looking will figure out the clues she leaves them and finally be the one to rescue her from hell. So far she is 0 for 3 as those men aren’t living any longer. Her latest happens to be a Detective who she hopes by involving him, hasn’t signed his death warrant by leaving him the clues like she did the others.
After 10 years of being held captive by a pedophile, Claire was granted the limited freedom of working part time. Its during her time away that she picks up men in bars and leaves clues with them. Her latest was Connor Parks who was having a bad day. Divorce was final and he ended up shooting a suspect they had been chasing for a long time.
Connor took the bait and followed the clues she left and found out no one had seen Claire in 10 years and here he had recently spent the night with her. Its a mystery he can’t let go..
As the reader we are given the graphic details of what Claire endured along with the other girls that had been taken over the years who had not ended up as lucky as Claire (meaning she was still alive). Claire struggles with everything imaginable – PTSD, guilt, shame. But through all of that she is survivor and she wants nothing more than to make her kidnapper pay.
An engaging psychological suspense from start to finish..
Great insight into the world of abducted children and how their lives go as well as the difficulties faces by their families.
Finding Claire Fletcher will grip you from go. The first chapter is short, but extremely powerful and I promise you won’t be able to put this book down after reading even just that brief look into Claire’s life.
I’m not sure what I expected, I knew from the description this was going to be a great read, but I never expected to be drawn in so totally and completely that the world outside my Kindle would stop. Great is an understatement when talking about this book.
Claire’s story will break your heart, but her perseverance and determination to maintain her own sense of right and her own sense of self will gain your respect even when she’s giving in to the darkness of her abductor’s threats.
The story alternates between perspectives and when not reading about Claire’s life in hell, you’ll read about Connor’s dedication to finding her and his total commitment to bringing her home to her family. Between Connor’s troubles on the job and his unlucky love life, he’s an unlikely hero from the start, but you’ll grow to love him like I did. He is relentless in his search for Claire even when his own life and career are being threatened.
This story is brutally honest but extraordinarily told by a great writer. I can’t want to see what comes next from this author.
A GREAT READ
Really good book
Confused
Would give it 3.5 if I could. Writing is just above-average.
Enjoyed this book.
Well written and entertaining. I enjoyed this one.
Tedious
One of the best mysteries I’ve read lately. Definitely not “run of the mill”!
FANTASTIC read. I have recommended this to friends.
