Loved it!
I liked the book because Phoebe was 24 years old and was trying to find a home for her family. The way they talked was confusing at times but Phoebe had so much spunk.
When she ran into Gage Morgan and he took her bumper because she didn’t have $70.00 to pay for the damage to his truck, things got interesting. She ended up at the junkyard …
Loved this book. Top of my list to read, reread.
Good read!
I really enjoyed this story! It was different than the norm – way out there and crazy plot and that’s what made it fun! A very enjoyable read.
Loved it! Very unique writing. She is trying to get a job to support her two younger siblings when she backs her truck into his. She has no money so he takes her bumper and plates until she can pay him. She is crafty and finds her way to his junkyard and ingratiates herself into his home and his young daughter. She still has to deal with helping …
I struggled to finish this book, but I can’t accurately describe why. I really wanted to find out how the book ended, so I continued reading. I can’t say that I liked either of the main characters. Although the book ended on a positive note, I wouldn’t describe it as happily ever after.
A little raw in some parts for me.
Read it in two days..could not Waite to see how it ended…would make e a great tv movie..
Enjoyed this book so much I love the characters their witty sense of humor in getting themselves a home
I really enjoyed this story. Easy to read. Couldn’t wait to see what would happen next.
good book. will read her again
The main characters, Gage and Phoebe , are stereotypically portrayed “southern” people with southern dialect throughout the entire book which could be problematic for some readers. She says she won’t but she does and he say he won’t but he does. Wish there was a little more depth to the story. It does contain explicit sex scenes.
