HOLY HECK!
This book was action packed, smutty and delicious, and full of love, loss, and every emotion under the sun.
My goodness…both Devin and Willow are dirty talkers and it is glorious! But their lust is just a fraction of their relationship. There love overpowers all and it is a sight to behold.
Devin…man can this beautiful, sexy man dirty talk like no tomorrow. Add in electric blue eyes and a bad boy dressed in leather with a Harley…hot damn! But there is also something so vulnerable and passionate about this man. Despite living a tortured existence he still finds the will to fight on and fight for those he cares about.
Willow…this woman is a spitfire! She is bada**! She is strong, she’s independent, but like Devin she is vulnerable and desires to love and live just like everyone else. She would walk through fire for those she cares about.
Devin and Willow are missing pieces of a puzzle. Both walking through life thinking that life isn’t going to get any better. But when they find each other that all changes. They have found their missing pieces. They have found the missing parts of their souls. They have found a reason to love and live.
This book was action packed, full of angst and drama, full of beautiful story telling!
Once again Kim Loraine blows all expectations out of the water!
Denying the Watcher is book 2 of a series that is by far the best series that I have read in a long time. The writing is phenomenal, the characters are well defined and the storyline grabbed a hold of me and never let go. I love this author and my only regret is that I never found her sooner!
Another PNR for Ms. Loraine. This is what I have come to expect from this author a well rounded book with great drama and just enough push and pull to make me love it. As always she has characters that I love and hate to see go. I love this take on vampires/angels one of the best PNR I have ever read. Even if your not into the romance aspect of books but like paranormal this book is for you.
I suppose because this book is part of a trilogy it explains why I think this book was better than the first one. That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy book one, because I did. But with Denying the Watcher, the story became more intense.
I was glad that Galen and Reese were still, although in a small way, included in the continuing story presented in this book. I suppose I would have liked to have seen more of them but maybe in the final book I will.
There are some things that I’m a little confused about regarding what the angels, particularly Gabriel, are capable of doing. I won’t say what specifically but you’re told that certain things aren’t possible yet in the end they are. But again, I can’t complain because I don’t suppose that I would have been happy with the alternative.
I will say this, what happened with Willow, I did not see that coming. So that was a nice twist in my opinion.
So yeah, if you’re a fan of steamy paranormal romances, I think you’ll enjoy this.
Denying The Watcher is the second book in The Watcher Series. I loved the first book, Waking The Watcher and this book exceeded my expectations. Devin, Galen’s best friend from book 1, meets Willow a strong independent woman and falls in love. Devin never thought he would meet the one until he met Willow. They have great chemistry and are perfect for each other. This is a well written series with amazing characters and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Sacrifice…
Devin needs to have fun before he runs out of time. TIME.
If even there is the one… THAT ONE. How much are we willing to go for our friends, for love, for a soulmate?
Hot and interesting twist on a paranormal adventure. Hooks you.
Leaves you looking for more!
“Everyone dies whether you love them or not.”
After reading Waking the Watcher I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story! And it was so worth the wait! I can’t get enough of this riveting series!
“Promises are worth little in a word full of liars and thieves.”
These characters are just incredible. I was so glad Galen is still part of the story, and what a turn this story takes for him. I enjoyed Devin’s character so much. And what a spitfire Willow is, she’s just a perfect addition. Gabriel and Devin’s banter makes me chuckle, I think Gabriel has softened to Devin. And Sariel….oh my, what he does for Reese, what he does for Devin, sigh, heart of gold. I’m so anxious to learn more about him. And oh, how I love the direction his story took!
“And when he looks at me, I see so much more than desire in his eyes. I see the man he has hidden under layers of defense and solitude. I don’t care that he’s everything I shouldn’t want. I don’t care that I’ll have to give him up in order to save his soul. All I want is to make him look at me like that for as long as I can.”
This story grips you from the start and doesn’t let go. I loved Devin & Willow’s dynamic and the twists and turns their story took. I wasn’t sure what was going to be in store for them and how this was going to work for them. And that epilogue……just fantastic!
There are SO many turns of events in this story and they are so exciting! You don’t want any spoilers and you don’t want to miss this captivating story! And the writing is just amazing! Kim Loraine sure knows how to give you an action packed, emotional, energizing story that you can’t get enough of. Such a great plot! I’m dying for book 3!!!!!
Devin Owns My <3
HOLY @#^%*&@@#$%!!!!! i am speechless, this story, the characters, the narrators...everything about this book, it's just...no words to even accurately describe it, just Ah-maze-balls! So Kim Lorraine hit this story out of the park, I thought i loved Galen's story but then Devin's story was even better! How is that even possible? Devin and Willow were off the charts together and i loved listening to their story unfold! Now i have to read Sariel's story AND i am dying for Gabriel's story, it needs to and must be told!!!!
Now, where do I even start with the narrators?! Will Watt and Susan Fouche...*sigh* i absolutely loved the voices that Susan gave all the female characters, especially sassy Willow! Her personality was enhanced by her narrated voice. i lost count how many different voices and accents Will Watt did for this book! I was totally immersed in this audiobook and every character had a completely unique and fitting voice! It seems completely unfair that one person should have that much talent but that he does and I am so glad I get to be aurally pleased by his narrations!
Devin won ‘friend of the century’ in Waking the Watcher, but that’s a different story. Nothing can satisfy his hunger, and with his deadline approaching he’s accepted his fate, until her… Now Devin is trying to win something else, and he’s going to use everything he’s got to get it. Even if that means his body, heart, and soul are on the line.
If he doesn’t win the battle everything he cares about will be gone. The threat of their HEA is getting to close to home. Like the saying goes “The path to happiness is working from the inside out.”
I absolutely loved this book, the love, the hate, the fear! Such a roller coaster of emotions.
This might be a spoiler….
But omg it’s hot! Who doesn’t like a sexy guy in a leather jacket who’s willing to love and fight for all of eternity for it. 🙂
Denying the Watcher is the second installment in the Watcher trilogy. I could not put down this book. Not only did Devin and Sariel kept me hooked but the kickass Willow was the star to me. The chemistry between the characters and the growth of them as the fight between Heaven and the Fallen continue, has me addicted for more.
I loved Willow as the heroine. She took crap from no one and can hold her own as a human against vampires. She has trained for years so she can hunt down the very beings who have caused her to be on the run. I loved her snarky attitude and how she lives in the moment taking what she wants. And what she wants and needs is Devin.
The sexy Devin is back after almost five years. After his agreement with Gabriel to live his life and fight against the fallen for five years, his time is almost up and time to give complete control to Sariel so he can find his soul mate. And then he meets Willow and feels the pull to her right away and can’t stop thinking about her. They’re meant for each other and he needs her to feed both himself and the Watcher.
What happens when The Fallen are closer than ever? Are they strong enough to go against who ever is pulling the strings? Will Devin keep his word and still be able to to protect Willow? There are so many issues to deal with and the odds are against them. Even more now that Sariel has found his soul mate, Selah.
If you’ve read Waking the Watcher, Devin’s story is a must read. If you haven’t read book #1, then what are you waiting for? You will not be disappointed. Not only do you meet these cocky vampires and the Watcher with some kickass heroines, but the steamy scenes are scorching! This amazing story is very easy to follow and very well written and not to mention the gorgeous cover. I’m on pins and needles in excitement waiting for the last book in this trilogy. I can’t wait for Releasing the Watcher!!
Although this book may be classified as paranormal, it is nothing but true honest romance. Devin will do anything to save Willow and he proves that numerous times throughout the story. This book is filled with true soulmates, hotter than hell chemistry and just enough angst to make the pages fly by. Another awesome read that I highly recommend.
Devin is like sunshine, vampire/ incubus sunshine but still sunshine. I didn’t take to his character in the last book even though he heroically sacrificed himself for Galen. But this book made me love him, the way he loved Willow and the “ways” he loved Willow was just hot. At this point Sariel can write a book on how to love a vampire and alienate a watcher. This book has a different feel than first, so this isn’t a wash, rinse, repeat, it’s funnier, and the excitement is kicked up notch.
