Vampires don’t lust after humans, but Reese changed everything. She woke something inside me. It happened in an instant. I saw her. I wanted her. I had to have her. Not just her blood-I wanted her body. Something I haven’t desired in a hundred years. I didn’t plan on falling in love. She’s mine and now that I’ve found her, I won’t be able to move on. But the more I’m with her, the more I realize … found her, I won’t be able to move on.
But the more I’m with her, the more I realize there is something dark and dangerous lurking. I can’t stop it and Reese is paying the price.
My love is killing her, but I can’t stay away.
Waking the Watcher is the first book in The Watcher Series.
Each book can be read as a stand-alone, steamy paranormal romance.

Needs more story and less sex
Not what I was expecting based on the description but worth the read.
Meh… I thought i would fall in love and I kept reading with the hopes that I would but regrettably I never did. I gave this a 2 because while not a book I enjoyed I do give credit for anyone who writes.
Love Galen!
I can’t say how much I loved Galen. His and Reese’s story hooked me to this book from the beginning. I couldn’t put it down until I was done. Waking the Watcher had it all for me. The swooning romance and the steamy scenes. I loved how Kim took the story and when you think you know what’s going to happen, she gives you a twist and goes a different direction.
This story starts with Galen as a vampire until he meets and connects with Reese in a completely different level than anyone else. This connection to her makes her hard to resist to Galen waking up feelings he hasn’t felt in over a hundred years but also waking the Watcher living dormant inside of him. And they both need to feed.
Sariel the Watcher is a fallen angel who is desperately looking for his soul mate. But what happens when he becomes so desperate to have her and Galen wants to keep her too? They must both work together regardless of their own battles when the danger of the other watchers out there put Reese’s and their lives at risk.
Totally recommend this book to anyone looking for their next PNR. Who doesn’t love an Irish vampire and a hot fallen angel rolled in one?? Can’t wait to read more from Kim Loraine!! Would definitely love to know what happens next with Devin and Sariel
Wow. This is not a genre that I usually enjoy but this story was fantastic. The chemistry between Galen and Reese was off the charts. The struggle that they endured to be together was epic and the sex scenes were hot!! I have been converted and cannot wait until the next story.

Has crude language
This book was ok. There was no depth to the characters. The story finally got exciting towards the end, but it wasn’t enough for me to want to read the other stories in the series.
Good flow, good chemistry – only reason for 3 stars was that it was too religious-y for my taste
Kinda slow
Barely any plot, just a bit between steamy scenes! I was very disappointed!
Poorly written. Had to delete this one after a few chapters.
To be honest I did not read the entire book. I found it to be predictable and over all done before.
Too weird. Disjointed
