4.5 stars.
Love Jackson and Sadia together so much, not a Paul fan and wish it would’ve been J&S all along. Oh! And it was so refreshing to have an openly bi heroine, even thought that wasn’t an essential or major part of the story representation is wonderful. Kareem is also one of the cutest/sweetest fictional children ever <3
After reading the first book, I gobbled up the rest of the Forbidden Hearts series. This book is my favorite of the series. I love a tortured hero. So Jackson’s character was right up my alley. I don’t ever remember reading about a character quite like him. He is strong and successful in his professional life. Yet he is ultra shy and not a people person at all.
The heroine’s little boy Kareem is adorable. Then there are so many things to love about the scrappy heroine. She’s a struggling, determined business owner with a business she inherited from her dead husband. She’s working two jobs to pay all the bill’s. She’s the “screwup“ in a mega successful family. She’s a planner junkie and she’s bi. Also, very different from any heroine I remember reading about before.
HOT!
Wrong to Need You was an enjoyable enough read, but I’m not sure it’s going to be the most memorable read for me.
Sadia and Jackson are thrown into a ton of family drama…little of which is really ‘their drama’. It’s a bunch of outside influence that keeps these two apart for a huge chunk of the story. And honestly, it all got to be a bit much and, at times, a bit boring. I found myself skimming paragraphs. It really drug on here and there and that kept throwing me out of the story.
This was my first Rai read and I’m sure I’ll be back someday. Her characters are all interesting, but maybe I just need a smaller cast to really be able to properly connect.
Sadia and Jackson are linked by a past that makes their attraction for one another seem a little wrong and somewhat forbidden, but sometimes love knows no bounds.
Jackson has loved Sadia since they were kids, but when trouble ran him out of town, it was his brother who claimed her for his own, but that chapter is over now, and she is a free woman. He knows starting something with her now would be wrong on many levels, but he just can’t help himself… she needs him!
When Jackson shows up back in town Sadia can’t but be happy to see him, but him being around also brings up feelings that she has kept buried for the last ten years, and acting on them now just wouldn’t be right. When he offers to help her at her cafe she is reluctant to accept his help, but she does it anyway, and soon they start to fall into a comfortable existence with on another… one that starts to take a hot little turn!
Wrong To Need You is a forbidden love story that will tug on your heart strings, and leave you moved! I really enjoyed this one, the highly addictive story line kept me burning right through the pages, once I got started I just could not put it down! This is the second installment to the “Forbidden Hearts” series, and I must say that it is equally as fantastic as the first! Ms. Rai is quickly becoming a new favorite author of mine, she really knows how to write a perfectly well balanced romance novel! Highly recommend this series, Ms. Rai’s forbidden romances are sure to give you the feels, and permanently curl your toes!!
