The Sleeper SEALs, are former U.S. Navy SEALs recruited by a new CIA counter-terror division to handle solo dark ops missions to combat terrorism on U.S. soil.Logan (Preacher) Bishop, retired Navy SEAL, flew tourists on helicopter rides over the mountains of Montana and occasionally rescued skiers from snowy slopes. With the threat of terrorists developing means of biological warfare, he jumped … he jumped at the chance to run a mission in Alaska, monitoring the activities of a newly established ISIS cell.
Vivian Sanders, a biologist with the Department of Homeland Security, was tasked with finding out what the terrorists were creating. Assigned to work with an agent on a cell in Alaska, she was stunned to find she was being paired with a security specialist and he knew nothing about their cover—living next door to the terrorists and pretending to be married.
Precise in his planning and executions of missions, the impulsive Viv drove Logan to distraction and of all his missions, he was certain this one would fail. Learning to work together, Logan and Viv discover opposites do attract. But the secret Logan carries—how he is to finish the mission—is one he is afraid she won’t be able to accept.
When the chemicals created by the terrorists next door threatened to be tested on a small town in Alaska, they fight to survive…both hoping their love survives the battle as well.
** Logan Bishop was first introduced in the Saints Protection & Investigation Series (Surviving Love). This book is in the “Sleeper SEAL” connected series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.
Each book in this multi-author branded series is a standalone novel, and the series does not have to be read in order.
****Due to scenes of an explicit sexual nature and language that some consider crude, please be warned – for 18+ only! If you do not like alphas with heart who fall in love with strong female characters while dealing with real life issues…again be warned!!*****

Another great romance mystery from Ms Jordan, and as always well written.
A great addition to the series. Loved the characters and the story line.
Loagan (Preacher) is a retired Navy Seal and is approached for a mission. To go to Alaska to investigate the supposed terrorists. His partner is a woman, with a biology background and no military experience which at first he doesn’t care for. There is action and trying to find the materials they are using to kill people.
Logan, an ex SEAL was offered a job investigating a terrorist cell. Once verified they were terrorist and what their plans were he was to take them down. He was to meet a biologist in Alaska to help him identify the agent and how lethal it was. His first problem was that the biologist is a woman.
Great story. Very hard to put down
I’m thoroughly enjoying this Sleeper Seal series. Each book is a different character loosely connected to the authors other series. In this one we meet up with some old favourites too. Great book highly entertaining.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the the novel Thin Ice: (Sleeper SEALs Book 7) by Maryann Jordan and this review was given freely.
An attraction at first sight novel where a strong woman completes a strong man. Commander Greg Lambert’s seventh recruit, retired SEAL helicopter pilot and mechanic Preacher aka Logan takes a break from his Montana tour and rescue business to stop bioterrorism in Alaska. However, receiving only a limited briefing results in an awkward first meeting with biologist Vivian Sanders. Complex and action packed with some violence as one would expect from Maryann Jordan this novel contains a satisfying romance with a lower level of steam than some of her other series making this a well balanced story that has mass appeal.
I have read the entire series of the Sleeper Seal Series. I enjoyed each and every book. I look forward to seeing some books by the Suspense Sisters.
The characters were well developed and likeable. The plot was interesting and current. I will start reading most books by Maryann Jordan. This Sleeper Seals, written by different authors, is a well-written series.

I liked this bopk. It was everything I expected.
I seldom read military romances, but this is a great read. The hero is a retired SEAL, sent in to monitor a suspect and eliminate if necessary. His cover is being married to a scientist, also helping to monitor and deciper the suspect’s actions. The couple was believable, the action was well paced, and the story was great. I would definitely recommend
Started out ok but the female lead came across as just stupid for someone who is supposed to have a biology degree. I made it to 35% and couldn’t take any more.
No I do not recommend. Three stars because I give credit to anyone who can write a book.
Wonderful writing in this Military Romance story. You will love the characters and the action packed scenes.
What a fun and interesting read.
Logan (Preacher) Bishop is a retired Nave SEAL who is asked to work a covert operation dealing with a homegrown terrorist cell. His mission is to see what the individuals are doing, stop it and than eliminate the threat. A man who was use to working as a team but now who is more of a solo man is tasked to work with another to get the job done.
Vivian is a biologist who is sent to work on a mission with a “specialist” to help put the end to a homegrown terrorist cell. At first, the two of them seem to be at odds about everything but towards the middle of the book they seem to find their groove.
While I really enjoyed this book, I do have to admit that there were part of the book that I felt a lot like Logan in that Viv would talk over my head in the biology area.
Overall I did like the book and I would definitely read something else from this author!
I really enjoyed reading this book because it is full of surprises and not the normal story line. It has action, suspense, mystery, romance, and danger. Logan is a loner that is surprised to be working closely with a female biologist on this mission. Vivian is smart, capable, and always ready to help. The author writes in such a way that you will be captivated until the very end. The end will surprise you. I received this book as a gift and I voluntarily give this review.
Although Thin Ice is the seventh title in the Sleeper SEALS series, it can be read as a standalone.
As with Ms Jordan’s previous titles Thin Ice is full of intrigue, action, mystery, suspense and romance. The characters and plot are complex and well developed.
Logan and Vivian find themselves thrown together, and they are complete opposites. Logan being a former SEAL, is meticulous in his organisation, planning, preparation when undertaking surveillance and reconnaissance, whilst Vivian is quite impulsive and has a tendency to act before thinking through the consequences. Logan is a full blown alpha, he’s protective and kind, but he prefers his own company, whilst Vivian is intelligent, strong, feisty and quite vivacious.
The sparks fly between this pair right from the very beginning. Their banter is fun, flirty and argumentative and their chemistry and attraction is undeniable.
I would recommend this title to anyone who enjoys the military/romantic suspense genre.
Thin Ice is the perfect name for this amazing book from Mary. Logan and Vivian….i loved this book. The whole book was them truly on Thin Ice.Take a retired alpha male no longer able to do what he’s trained for…doesn’t really like people…his only long term relationship his team…stick him with a biologist who has never worked in the field innocent as all get out…nothing but Thin Ice. Their interaction is beautiful. Loved it. His bitterness over his retirement and his need to be useful and protect are at war within Logan. Vivian is totally out of her element and making mistakes that could get her killed. Their interaction and chemistry is a beautiful thing to watch happen. These characters are very three dimensional and you care about them and their welfare. I couldn’t put this book down and you will really like this one.
4.5 star review of Thin Ice (Sleeper Seals #7) by Maryann Jordan
This is book 7 in the Sleeper Seals story and can be read as a stand alone. I know this as I have not read any of the previous books in the series.
I enjoy reading books in the romantic suspense genre and this was a good example of a well developed story line. I enjoyed the intrigue and action mixed with the romance.
When Logan (Preacher) Bishop agrees to run a mission in Alaska to monitor a new ISIS cell he is surprised when he is teamed up with security specialist Vivian Sanders who works for the International Olympic Committee.; not only that but they have to pretend to be married.
Logan, a former Navy Seal is extremely detail oriented whilst Vivian learns towards being more impulsive, these differences drive the other to distraction. Can these two complete opposites, find a common goal whilst fighting their attraction to each other and the obstacles that are constantly thrown in their path?
Preacher is a totally Alpha, protective man who will do what ever it takes to protect her even though Vivian is a strong and feisty heroine.
