DO YOU POSSESS A WINNING COMBINATION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICAL SKLLS AND RAW INTELLIGENCE? DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO LEAD OTHERS? ARE YOU WILLING TO CRUSH THOSE WHO STAND IN YOUR WAY?

This is actually my second time reading through this series. Those who say it’s a rip-off of the Hunger Games obviously have never read either series. Decades after a word war has poisoned earth and water, people are slowly reclaiming everything. A few students each year, upon graduation from school, are sent for testing to see if they will be …
“The Testing” marks the start to the “Testing” Trilogy by Joelle Charbonneau, a captivating dystopian YA story, that mixes action-adventure, social reflection and coming-of-age tropes into a fast-paced, character-driven plot, set in a future version of our own world, in which the Seven Stages War destroyed the majority of the planet letting only a …
Imagine a dystopian future where only certain people are selected to take the test to go to college. Then, that selection, once made, is not an option. If you are selected, you must participate in the testing. The testing itself is not as simple as filling in some blanks. And not everyone will complete the process. But, what happens to those who …
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when starting this book, but was extremely pleased. It was such a great story. The characters were very likable, different from each other and all around great (even though not all of them do good things). This book had my full attention from the beginning and never lost it, for even a moment. I would recommend …
I’ve read this series so many times. The first time I found this book was in middle school. From then on, I could not stop reading! This book has so many things happening and I could not predict what would happen next. It is an amazing series and I 100% recommend this book to anyone.
This book was so good. It reminded me a bit of the hunger games. Not sure which came first but I loved the idea along with the world building. The characters are all likable to an extent.
Loved this
Dark dystopia with high stakes and lots of action.
Excellent dystopian
good, but not great.
Overall, I really enjoyed The Testing . Cia is full of hope and always strives to see the best in people even when she knows they are likely to disappoint — or betray — her. She also struggles with the potential loss of her family, who she realizes she may never get to see again. It’s a well-constructed world with a strong female protagonist who …
A great book with its own story to tell. I really enjoyed it, so much so I read it in one night. The journey the characters go on leaves you thinking about different aspects of how things are handled. A great read!
I’ve had this book on my “to read” for awhile now. I was not disappointed. This book is like a perfect blend of some of the other dystopian books I’ve read, but in a whole new way. I find it hard to explain how I feel about this book without spoilers and I hate giving spoilers (even if they’re hidden,) so bear with me. The premise of the book and …
