Love is never lost in translation.Isla Lennox is the best interpreter aboard the Alliance ship Argo — if the captain would ever give her a chance to do her job. When he finally does, Isla’s big break quickly falls apart as she and all the female crew members are traded to an alien ship in exchange for the Argo’s safe passage. The giant Xaravian warriors are intimidating, covered in scales, and… … covered in scales, and… way too attractive. Isla and her friends won’t surrender quietly, but it seems like the Xaravians are looking forward to that kind of fight.
The moment Vaant sees the beautiful, sassy interpreter, he knows he can’t stay away. Vaant must prove his honorable intentions, even as her flashing eyes and curvy figure drives him crazy with desire. He would go to the edge of the universe to keep his mate safe, even if she doesn’t realize she’s his.
When her former captain frames Vaant for destroying an innocent ship and murdering its crew, Isla must face that the Alliance she served so proudly is not what it seems. Starting a new life as a rebel with Vaant sounds more and more appealing, but first they’ll have to fight through half the Alliance Fleet and escape a crumbling space station. Does love wait for them among the stars, or just more danger?

An alien alpha hero meets a feisty, very capable heroine. It was fun watching these two get together.
This was the first book that I have read from this author duo. I did enjoy reading the book, but just didn’t love reading it. There wasn’t really anything that screamed sci-fy to me. The female characters were good, but the Alien characters did not have much in the way of development. Vaant, the lead male, just seemed more like the guy you would want as your buddy. The technology for a sci-fy was weak, at best. World building, none….oh, wait, a tent on the sand planet. Or there was the space port where lots of opportunity was there for creativity. As I said, I just didn’t love it!
Awesome characters, so colorful, vibrant and fun! You have such a variety of space aliens, that are so different from humans! From one adventure to another these 6 women realize things haven’t really changed. Women are still not respected or valued, they are traded like cargo. Given to these alien men, not caring what would happen to them. Luckily the aliens were more honorable than their commander! After rescuing a damaged space craft, and stopping an attack on a space station, the women are threatened by the fleet commander, after he murdered innocent people. Who can they trust? Who will save them? Who else …. Themselves! They have to figure out how to escape, steal the aircraft and get back to their protectors!
I enjoyed this book. I liked the main characters. The world building was decent. The plot had a few places that felt rushed or did not have enough answers for things to make sense. Some of the concepts felt unique enough to not feel like every other alien abduction/kidnapping book I’ve read. Not sure if I will continue on with the series though.
Ohmigosh, the Galaxos Crew is gonna be my next favorite alien romance series! The Galaxos is a spaceship crewed by Xaravian warriors, and Vaant is their captain. When he agrees to “purchase” Alliance officer Isla Lennox and her five female Alliance shipmates, it is to keep their crooked captain from selling them to slavers or worse. Isla and the others don’t see it that way – they think Vaant actually wants them as slaves or trade bait. Isla, an interpreter who speaks all three obscure Xaravian dialects, soon learns the truth. Vaant claims the Alliance is corrupt, and events bear him out. The Earth women must come to terms with their betrayal and decide where their loyalties lie, while fighting for their lives against the corrupt Alliance forces that try to capture them, and the Galaxos crew. Meanwhile Isla and Vaant must come to terms with their irresistible attraction to each other. This book has it all – action, suspense, betrayal, a smexy romance, badass Earth women and hot alien warriors, plus an over-arching story line that should make the rest of the series as captivating as this first book.
