Tessa clings to the belief that Parker would never abandon her, despite the insistence of those around her that his recent behavioral changes may mean he has left on purpose. What’s worse, a husband who’s dead or one who’s alive but walked out on her?

Dead Or Alive by Jane Blythe starts out with a BANG…and keeps on going.
Detective Parker Bell is doing his grocery shopping, just a mundane chore we can all relate to, when he hears a gunshot and sees a car screeching out of the parking lot. Two bodies are lying on the pavement…
The characters all have their heavy baggage to bear and miscommunication abounds because of their need to protect themselves, and their secrets. Parker and Tessa are together, but she holds tight to her thoughts and feelings. It’s a good thing he has patience and so much love for her.
Wyatt is Parker’s partner, but he thinks of him as his brother. Parker has a tendency to let his emotions rule him, becoming personally involved in many of his cases. That is how him and Tessa came to be together, but that is another story.
I love Jane Blythe’s ability to put me in the middle of the suspense and danger, Darkness and their past seem to dog their every footstep.
Tessa…she is my favorite character. If something needs to be done, she feels she must do it herself. She will sacrifice everything for Parker and her friends and family. She puts herself last.
I had trouble with a few things, but as the story came together and Jane was wrapping everything up, it all became clear. I love when an author leads me down a path that trips me up and leaves me saying, AHA, I get it now.
When Parker comes up missing, she makes a deal with the devil…and that is the tease for the next book in this standalone series. I do recommend beginning at the beginning because I have loved every step of the way, but Jane Blythe recaps a lot of the past action so that you can know why these characters do what they do.
SO…What’s the cost of making a deal with the devil? Find out in Little Girl Lost.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Dead Or alive by Jane Blythe.

I was hooked once again right from the beginning with this one. These books just keep getting better and better with each one that you read. Parker and Tessa have quite a few pressures on their marriage. It is showing signs of cracking. A lot is going on between these two and with this storyline. This revolves around another heart wrenching case. I wanted to cry reading about what happened in this one. This is a case that will destroy a young family when both of their young children are taken from them. As the pressure mounts to find out who did this, things with Parker and Tessa hit a boiling point, and Parker leaves. When he doesn’t return, Tessa thinks there is foul play but she is the only one that thinks that. Tessa will do what is needed to save her husband even risk her live once again. But what will happen? An amazing storyline. Once again great suspense, mystery, breath taking moments that have you turning the page trying to figure out what is going to happen next. Every single book I read from this series I get deeper and deeper in with this writer. She is amazing and knows how to draw you into a book. I absolutely loved this one. I have to say it is my favorite from the three I have read. But then again they just keep getting better and better.
Oh boy, the emotional roller coaster in this book is a humdinger. I found myself with tears in my eyes and feeling utterly devastated in many scenes as they reach in and rip your heart out.
There is such a great mystery behind the original one that when you find out who the perpetrator is you are gobsmacked. Everything connects and it is very clever but you need to have read the first two books to gain a full understanding of the story.
I have to admit that Tessa does have the tendency to annoy me a bit. For a genius she sure makes some questionable decisions. They make for an exciting climax though, I will admit.
Another great page turner. Jane keeps you on the edge of your seat for sure with this one. She is able to write in a way that keeps me right on the edge and turning the pages as fast as I can.
I’m left speechless at the way this author writes. It unlike anything I’ve read before. So good….
As Detective Parker Bell’s story continues with more jaw dropping moments. We are left wondering will love conquer all and who will survive? Not giving anything away
When the sins of others come home to roost.
It is hard not to sit in a complete state of nervous tension as I read this book. I could feel Tessa’s frustration and wanted to hurt their friends as they didn’t believe in her love and loyalty for Parker. It seems that this dysfunctional family can get no breaks at mistakes and the sins of others come to claim a part of their lives.
Jane is a master at keeping people busy with a complete sub plot while the main story carries on in the background. She leaves a seemingly haphazard and incomplete trail of clues, revealing only a part of the story, yet leaves us thinking we have a theory.
Ms Blythe leaves us with the perfect hook into the next book, Little Girl Lost, and I’m left thinking, what can go wrong for them now. 5 Stars
Man, I tell ya, this series just keeps getting better & better with each book! This was was very heartbreaking but still full of so much excitement & suspense. I was kept on the edge of my seat as the group try to solve such a horrible crime & try to help bring a family back together.
Wow, I’d have to say so far, this is my favourite.
I was hooked from the first page, I couldn’t put it down, it draws every emotion from you from anger to pain to tears.
Loved it so much, can’t wait to see what’s next
These books just keep getting better and better!!!
On what is supposed to be another normal day at the shops a sequence of devastating events unfold and parker is thrown into another case and this one is heartbreaking!!
Book 3 is the best one yet !! It draws every emotion from you ,all the tears and anger keep you hooked to yet another gripping story.
Jesus.
Every book by this author keeps you guessing but this took it to a whole other level.
Not much can be said about this book without spoiling it, but wow, yet again the different layers will leave you speechless.
I recieved a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! Another great book.
3 books in and I’m loving this series. Detective Bell and Tessa are likeable characters.
Cant wait for more
I’m enjoying this series a lot but Tessa’s careless attitude is a bit aggravating at times but I’m loving Parker!!! I’m starting the next one tonight and can’t wait
Wow another great book I absolutely loved it I couldn’t put it down at all and cant wait for more
Where do I begin? Continuing on in the series, we find Parker and Tessa once again mixed up in a crazy nightmare of a case. Just when you think nothing else could possibly happen to these two after the first two books, along comes another seriously messed up case. I felt more frustrated in this book. Tessa seems to think she’s invincible and keeps putting herself in harms way and it really annoys me! I dislike her more after reading this story. I felt like yelling at her and telling her to shut up and think about what her actions and words were doing to others. Parker definitely deserves better in this story! Another highly twisted, rollercoaster story that I read in one sitting. Couldn’t put it down!
I liked this book and I think this is a very enjoyable series. I think Parker is a great hero. He is easy to like and I just find him a interesting character. The heroine, Tessa is another story. From book one I have had issues with this character and I had hoped things would get better but if anything they are getting worse. In my opinion, she is exceedingly unlikable. The story is well written and extremely suspenseful. There is lots of drama and tension to help keep you on edge as the story unfolds. This is my candid, elective review.
