Annabelle Englewood wakes in a hospital wondering why she is there. She doesn’t have to wait long to realise she is being blamed for the gruesome murder of her family. After learning she is a number one suspect she is shocked, devastated and angry as all hell. Annabelle is a sad and damaged, yet beautiful young woman who is broken and does not know her own worth. Now she is being accused of something so heinous she is unable to comprehend it.
Detective Xavier Montague and his partner Detective Hannah are on the case to find the killer or killers who murdered the Englewood family. Unfortunately the preliminary evidence points to one person and one person only. After an initial interrogation they find they have made the mistake of accusing the one person who is a victim not a murderer.
Will they learn the identity of the killer before it is too late? Will Annabelle be safe from the monster lurking in the shadows? Will Xavier finally come to grips with his past or will it stop him from moving forward and solving this case?
Jane Blythe knows how to weave a great story that is filled with so much suspense and thrills, pain and horror with lots of twists that will leave you feeling extremely intense emotions. If you love a good thriller, crime, mystery then this book is one you will not want to walk away from.
