But appearances can be deceiving and when Stella and Rea’s worlds collide they realise they have much in common. Both are trapped in a prison of their own making.
Has help been next door without them realising it?
With the warmth and wit of Maeve Binchy and the secrets and twists of Liane Moriarty, this is the utterly original and compelling new novel from Irish Times bestseller Carmel Harrington.

Terrible book, not at all as described, repetitive and boring.
informative with some twists and very interesting characters
Well written. Very happy to have found this author
So true to life–from sadness to heart warming==people helping people.
described the abuse too graphically
I love this book. It was well written and highlighted how things are never as they seem. If you only read one book this year make it this one.
This was truly an emotional roller coaster ride. This novel tackles grief, agoraphobia and being a victim of spousal abuse. Issues of “shame” are dealt with, offering insight and a better understanding of these distresses in life. There is great loss and great gain. Most importantly, there is great healing. (The ending seemed rushed though so didn’t give it 5 stars.)
This will always be one of my all time favorite books. I want more and more by this author.
