The Shifter Wars heat up when a woman investigates the mysteries surrounding a fierce breed of man and exposes more than just secrets Bear shifters exist. Professor Bria Lane has known this since she was a child. Now she’s returned to the forests of Deep Creek to prove it to the world. She has no idea how close she is to that proof in ruggedly sexy park ranger Derek Poole. Intimately close. But … Poole. Intimately close. But uncovering Derek’s wild side comes with a shattering price.
Like a magnet meeting metal, Derek is drawn to Bria. His destiny. His mate. So beautiful and so vulnerable. So dangerous, too: an encroachment of lions, vengeful and vicious, is closing in and they’re ready for war. Now is not the time to be distracted like a lovesick cub.
If Bria reveals the truth of the Deep Creek shifters to the world, she’ll bring out the worst of both sides. But Derek can’t hide his secrets from the love of his life forever. He knows they’re playing with fire–and that when passion runs this hot, this reckless, someone’s bound to get burned.

I enjoy this series and this is book 2. I liked the plot and impeding war and I liked Bria and Derek. There were times though it moved really slow and lots of info on bears…almost too much. There is some info repeating but otherwise an enjoyable book.
This is book 2 in the series and it was just as good as book 1. Though the same as book 1 I feel as though there should be one more chapter, to sum up……..
Spoiler don’t read of you haven’t read the book
What happened to the twins ?
Do they know about their dad?
Why weren’t they there to help \ protect him?
How many lives were lost?
Shouldn’t Shoshanna have said something at the end after everyone went into the cave?
But i guess this is what makes got read book 3 .
I hope I get the answers I’m looking for in the next book.
“It’s like a dam burst in my heart and now I’m running over with love.”
That’s how Derek feels about ursinologist Bria when he stumbles across her in the park. But how can he tell her about Shifters when he must protect the clan from the eyes of the Normals? And, with the Shifter war looming, how can he protect her? A great story in the Shifter War series. Steamy and passionate love scenes, exciting action and great world building. Recommended to all fans
Well written novel with lots of action, Love and war and death. Really enjoyed this novel.Easy read and well paced.
A sexy and suspenseful continuation of this shifter war series. I enjoyed the characters and the pace of the story. It was a little predictable story wise but other then that it was a good PNR read.
Pursuing the Bear
Pursuing the Bear by Kerry Adrienne is war of the worlds in shifter form. She has a way of enticing her reader into reading without stopping because they can’t put the book down. Derek and Bria have alot of chemistry between them but alit if secrets as well. This is the second book in the shifter wars series and it was nice to see Griff, Amy , Elijah again. As Derek and Bria come closer to their HEA ending they learn much about each other and themselves. Love can conquer and make a couple apair in way only they know and understand. Adrienne’s characteriztions are so strongly written that you care about them and what they are going through. I enjoyed this book.
Derek is a ranger and meets his human mate in the woods one day. She wants to show people that shifter’s exist but that could be a big problem. On top of that, the war between the bears and lions is still a big issue!!!!
Such a fantastic couple, loved them and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Bria knows that bear shifters exist. Returning to Deep Creek, she meets up with Derek Poole. Meeting his mate is a welcome, but unfortunate thing. the war between the bear and lion shifters is still on going. Hopefully their love will be able to survive the war.
This book was as good as the first and was a roller coaster of emotions. You get lost quickly in the book and see what your reading almost as if your in it, well written and descriptive there isn’t a cliff hanger and will leave you believing in magic and happily ever after
