Waking up in a burned out room once was strange enough for Kenzie, but to wake up in the same place over and over again was too much.At first, everything appeared normal, or at least as normal got for Kenzie. When it quickly turns into a nightmare, Kenzie finds herself thrown into making a major decision. Who will she choose? Will she go for this new Duine, Leaf? Her maddening dream ends up taking … maddening dream ends up taking away that decision for her. She decides on Leaf; he was supposed to be her true mate after all.
Her heart was still breaking for Dax though, and the pull between them just wouldn’t fade away.
When that pull becomes too much, Kenzie gives into it and explores it more with Dax while Leaf is away gathering fighters to fight in their upcoming battle.
But when Leaf returns and finds them in a compromising position he does something drastic. Ronan thankfully sees through Leaf’s lies. He saves Kenzie.
As all of Leaf’s lies come unraveled, their group finds themselves under attack by the enemy. Leaf had never gotten the reinforcements. He had brought Aden’s army down on their heads.
When everything seems so hopeless Shade comes through and brings along the much-needed army that Kenzie needs to succeed in the war that had begun.
The new plan now wasn’t to fight on the ground.
No, she wants to take over the sky above.
Using her powers and Dax’s combined they transport their entire army onto Kenzie’s old home, the military station.
Getting to the station is the easy part. The hard part is the fight they have ahead of them. It’s made even worse when they lose the element of surprise.
The Humans gain the upper hand on the Gealtach.
The war was quickly being lost even though everyone around her was telling her otherwise. They were losing even though they couldn’t afford to lose. Kenzie wouldn’t allow that to happen.
Dax could kick his own ass for letting Kenzie walk into danger like he had. It was stupid to let her make such a terrible decision, but it was for a good cause.
Meanwhile, he’s left with a battle that he had to win. It was a battle he had to win in order to get her back.
The hardest fight wasn’t the one against the humans. It was the one raging inside of him to free Kenzie. His heart wanted to rescue her from the horrible things he had been forced to witness through her eyes.
There just wasn’t a way to do that without compromising the mission he had on the space station. There were too many of his Gealtach brothers counting on him to lead.
With his emotions held at bay, things become clear. They would win this war with the humans on the space station, but not without a high cost.
Many would die in the name of freedom.

I have finished book 3 on to book 4. !!!
I have been on one hell of an epic journey with these three books so far, what a frigging read, we have everything, My reviews on the first 3 books have been rather short but that’s because I have immediately wanted to read the next one, I literally haven’t done anything since picking up these books from Booksprout, I dilly and dallied about them in the first place not sure if I could actually get my reviews out on time. On time ahead of schedule is more like it.
This is the book 3 in the series. Just like the first two books, I haven’t been able to put them down, I’ve tried believe me I have tried and simply sat back down and carried on reading, I am so thankful it’s the six weeks holidays here in England. I pulled an all night reading book 3 until I couldn’t hold my eyes open any longer. The characters are well written and interesting. There are so many of them but some how they all fit and revolve around one woman who has literally been to hell and back. The world building has been outstanding, I have also loved the way the author has told the story in two parts one from Mcakenzie’s point and then from the male that is most relevant to the story at that time. I have been hooked from the first pages of book 1 andd I am still here about to start book 4 , book 3 did not let go of the pace and has the same fabulously engrossing story line. Again it finishes on a Cliffy and it’s a long book so if you do decide to pick these books up be advised each one is a novel by its self. It has love, loss, betrayal, family, more challenges and always keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. It is violent in places and our heroine is put through some difficult times, abuse and no consent do not let that put you off from getting this book its a small fraction of an incredible story. I enjoyed this book very much.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Kenzie was being g tortured, Dax was trying to save her. Aden captures them both, shoots Kenzie, Dax saves her but in the process bonds her to him. Fox gets himself killed. Kenzie finds out she is now a hybrid of sorts and that the people that were supposed to be dead weren’t. So much going on. Kenzie turns feral bringing all of Fox’s brothers together to save him to save her. Man oh man. I cant wait for the next book!!!!

This is another excellent book in the series. The characters are well thought out and interesting. The world building is wonderful. I was hooked from almost the first pages of the first book and this one was the same addicting story line. There were only a couple of typos. It does close with a To Be Continued. It wasn’t a short story. It has love, loss, betrayal, family, more challenges and keeps you guessing what is going to happen next. I enjoyed this book very much.
