Philip Taylor is the principal of a high school in the small town of Sweet Water, Michigan. Having just returned from teaching in France, he decides it is time to settle down. He’s on a hunt for a wife so he can claim his part of the family inheritance before the determined year is up. He decides to experiment with an anonymous online dating site in order to screen the prospects to see if they’d … they’d be compatible first. He finds someone he really likes, but neither of them know each other’s identity. Before he can pursue this relationship further, a woman blows into town stealing not only his job but also his name.
Taylor Phillips is a woman who knows what she wants. Her biological clock is ticking, and she is desperate to have a baby. She finds a man who sounds perfect to be the father of her child, through an online dating site. But before she can discover his identity, she starts her new job as principal in a small town called Sweet Water. It is less than pleasing when she finds out her assistant is a man who is borderline OCD, and exactly the opposite of her in every way – including their names.
Can a man who is obsessed with cleaning and too organized for his own good, and a noisy, messy woman who likes to drink and hang out with the guys, look past each others differences to find what’s hidden beneath the surface before they lose everything they’d really been looking for all along?

This was a good story. Two people are compatible online but not face to face. Both Taylor and Philip are set in their ways and their plans for the future. I enjoyed the online conversations after each of their disagreements. Once they realized that there was more to each other, I loved how they learned to compromise. With a bit of pushing from their families, love won out. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more about this series.
This was a freebie on Amazon, and this is my unsolicited review.
When Phillip moves home from France thinking he has the principle’s job at the local high school, he decides to look for a wife to collect his inheritance. He has a problem, how can he find someone that will deal with his OCD??
Taylor makes the big move to take the principle’s job at Sweetwater High, she meets neat freak Phillip and doesn’t think she will ever cope with his problem and his attitude.
Lighthearted and Funny.
This book had some laugh out loud moments. They say opposites attract but a borderline OCD and a slob? Whilst by the end of the book they have both fallen in love and agreed that with regard to their behaviour they will both try to change to meet in the middle; I’m not sure that either of them will ever be happy together (they don’t even like the same food). I think the relationship might have been more believable if their characters had been more similar but having said that the story would have been less interesting.
Talk about opposites attracting, or rather not at first, this story has it in spades!! Phillip Taylor, one of the Taylor brothers if you have read this series, is very uptight. Well OCD it neatness, if you would put a name to it. He is the principal of a school and has decided to try on-line dating. Meeting someone who seems perfect on the dating site of course, is not often how they are in reality!! Taylor Philips (yes notice the name!) is a force to be reckoned with! Messy, always things in chaos and looking to get pregnant because her biological clock is ticking, she takes Phillip’s job and all heck breaks loose!! A delightful story with a wonderful cast of characters and a fast paced humor that will leave you smiling!!
Elizabeth Rose has a hit with her Tarnished Saints series. You just have to love the Taylor brothers. Teaching Philip is cute. It is light hearted and funny, with a serious spot or two mixed in. Philip is different from his bothers. He has lived and taught in France and has recently returned to Sweet Water. He is borderline OCD. Actually, he may have crossed the border. Taylor Philips is the exact opposite of Philip Taylor (hehe). Where he is neat and tidy, she is messy, really messy. At work (by the way, she took his job), he is order and she is chaos. They have been communicating quite successfully on an online dating site (anonymously, of course). Online they are a match made in cyberspace. Person to person, oil and water. From the moment they realize that Taylor and Philip are Teetotaler and Lancelot, sparks of all kinds fly in all directions.
Teaching Philip has a cast of great characters and a fast moving plot that doesn’t turn you loose until the end. Think of it as The Odd Couple With Benefits! I recommend this one. It’s a winner.
