When Eva and Clive meet in the office elevator fifteen years after they’ve seen each other last, their mutual attraction not dulled one bit, they’re tempted to explore their intense, undeniable, chemistry further. But then Eva discovers that the sinfully gorgeous Clive is the powerful businessman who’s causing her company’s downfall. She’s determined to sway her newfound enemy to reconsider his … reconsider his betrayal. They’re not even halfway through that debate, when they’re drawn to each other with a force neither of them anticipates.
Having lived through her share of disloyal relationships Eva’s sworn off heartbreaker men. No way she’ll fall for this assertive, enigmatic playboy.
But Clive isn’t one to give up that easily, or at all for that matter. She doesn’t know, he’s been chasing Eva since their first kiss fifteen years ago.
First book in a series of three.
Underlying suspense continues in Loving Eva and concludes in Killing Eva.
*Two bonus chapters are at the end.

Cliffhanger
Good story but I prefer stand alone stories.
Book was long…but I read to the end only to be disappointed that it turned out to be the first in a series of three books.
The story itself was OK, but the writing had many grammatical and vocabulary errors. Detain for retain, that for who, and misused objective and subjective pronouns, though not as many as some unedited romance writers. This is a classic example of a new writer writing exposition instead of dialogue from various points of view. The story could have easily been told in one longer book or at most in two 250 pg books. I became bored to tears with all the extensive internal dialogue of the main characters and almost didn’t finish the series. Eventually, I just started skipping large parts of the 3 book series. Good writers SHOW, DON’T TELL. I also knew who the culprit was by middle of book 2. There were no red herrings, not other possible options. Clive, the romantic hero, had no failings, which made him unbelievable. The secondary characters were reasonably developed. I wanted to know more about Carter and Izzy.

We know you’re looking for your Mr. Right, but while you’re at it, why not also have some fun with this Mr. Slightly Wrong?
My Review:
He had never forgotten her as she was his first kiss, but now he was a rich playboy often featured on tabloid covers, not someone she would consider as her type. Chasing Eva is a sweet and sexy love story with humor, steam, and broken-hearted ice cream binges among friends. It was a quick, amusing, intriguing, and entertaining read.
I loved all 3 books. I recommend this series
Nice romantic read. Wish it had finished in one book.
Loved this book. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
