When a mysterious text message summons May Wexler to a biker bar in downtown New Orleans, she knows something is very wrong. Her sister has sent out an SOS, but when May gets there, she’s nowhere to be found and May is the one in trouble—she’s wearing pink espadrilles, she’s got a Chihuahua in her purse, and she’s in the middle of a shootout. After tall, muscular Ozzie comes to her rescue, May has … rescue, May has no choice but to follow him to safety. At the headquarters of his private security firm, the Bourbon Street Boys, she finds a refuge for the night—and the offer of a job. But it’s not long before a gun-toting stalker isn’t the only complication in May’s life: the more time she spends with Ozzie, the less she can deny that they’ve got some serious chemistry. A wrong number got her into this mess…Will it also get her the right guy?

I really enjoyed this book.
Ozzie and May’s story.
May enters a dive bar, thinking she is coming to save her sister, but ends up being saved by a big hairy neanderthal. She gets shot at and hauled away. The only thing is, now she in danger of being followed and killed. She ends up at the Bourbon Street Boys bat-cave where she gets offered a job being their stakeout surveillance specialist. Doesn’t hurt that the hairy dude has now cleaned up, and is looking good!
I didn’t mind this story, it had some funny moments and had me laughing. It’s an insta love story that has the hero looking out for May but the team also teach her how to hold her own. She becomes a petite badass. There is also a side romance between Felix and his Sahara.
I really thought I was going to love this book but I was actually struggling a bit.
The FMC was very immature. She’s in her late 20ies but acted way younger than that. And MMC was just ‘meh’ – I didn’t feel like I got to know him. Honestly, none of the characters resonated with me. Everything just felt flat somehow – even the romance felt flat, the conversations, her inner monologue and just about everything. I also think that the writing style was quite simple.
Fun book! Amazing what can happen from a wrong number! Loved the lead characters and their dogs!
I began laughing from the very first page and continued to do so throughout. A very cute and funny romance. I especially loved the characters individually.
It is happy after a strange beginning which is not explained. Would that every wrong number turned out so well!
This was a great read fast-paced nothing too complicated and made me laugh out loud. And Scott just enough of everything Little romance little crazy scheming, and a sweet thought at the end
4.5 stars
Thoroughly enjoyed this story! The heroine seems meek but she finds her fire. I laughed out loud at her shenanigans. Ozzie is an alpha male but not too overbearing. I adore their animals.
Wrong Number, Right Guy, the first book for The Bourbon Street Boys Series, was just okay for me. I love Elle Casey and I love her Shine Not Burn Series. So when I seen this book on Netgalley I was so excited to get it, but sadly I couldn’t stand the heroine of the book, May. May drove me crazy and it took away from my enjoyment of the book a lot!
May was so immature she acted more like a teenage girl and not 29 year old woman. At times I felt like I was reading a book about a man awkwardly trying to date a high schooler She did some of the ditziest crap. She truly acted silly and teen like when it came to Ozzie, her job, Sex ect…. OMG she blushed at everything. Everything! I just couldn’t stand her. Ozzie on the other hand I really liked. I liked his hard, sexy, gruff self. Hell he earned extra awesome points just for putting up with May because I would have washed my hands of her silly butt. I would have liked to see a little more of the hero, a little more of his personality. As far as other characters go in this book I really liked May’s sister and I liked Dev. There was some funny parts in this book which helped and the plot was okay. I wish there would have been more romance. Over all an okay book. I will most likely read the next book in this series to see if it gets better.
Enjoyed this good read. It’s well written with great characters!!

This is another one of my Kindle Unlimited finds. If it has an audio book to go with it 95% chance that I will give it a read and listen to. This book was so exciting and sexy. I loved the characters and the story-line. Oz is sexy as hell and a super dude to the rescue and I loved every page of it! Excellent read!
Loved this book. Fell in love with the characters.
