“Everything can be undone.” That’s what someone tells Gracie Brannen, but she’s doubtful. After graduation, she walked away from everyone she knew with barely a word. Ten years later, she’s back. Even as familiar places and faces bring back old pain, Gracie finds hope in rebuilding old ties and forging new ones. Maybe everything can’t be undone, but perhaps everything can be overcome.
It was good but somewhat predictable.
The characters seem somewhat obtuse, but the points made in conversation are very real, especially in today’s world. Recommend reading.
Very “light” reading.
Good read.
I wanted this book to go on and on, I hated to finish it. A great read for light summer reading, up to date. Loved it
Enjoyed story and development of the characters and dealing with the challenges in her life
This book is an interesting read. Gracie definitely has her share of issues.
Started strong but dragged on repeating same history it seem just to stretch the story.
Great read!
Gracie’s dream has always been to leave the town she grew up in and move to the big city upon graduation. Ten years after abandoning everyone in her life, Gracie returns to her hometown to rebuild the shattered relationships she left behind.
This was a wonderful book to read. I was unable to put it down until the last page. It made me realize that sometimes, when we make the wrong choices or decide something for the wrong reasons, we can undo it or make it right again.
A sad story involving physical abuse and emotional turmoil plus an unplanned pregnancy all which forced Gracie to leave everyone she loved and begin a new life. Years later feeling the need to return for her mother’s funeral she then realizes how much she has missed and how truly lonely her life has been. Given time reassessing her priorities she is able to reconnect with family and friends and feel at peace.
The characters in Gracie’s Song really pulled me along, making want to know what would happen next. Very enjoyable!
