Bennett had the world in the palm of his hands when he was sixteen, then he allowed his dick to do the thinking for him.
That one night changed him forever, giving him a child that would forever alter his life, and an ex that was a crazy nut case on the best of days.
With the help of his parents, he went into the Navy, becoming the SEAL he always wanted to be. However, with that came a price, … that came a price, a price he wasn’t willing to pay anymore once his little girl started to realize why he wasn’t there. So he came home and joined the local SWAT team, starting his life anew, just his daughter and him.
Then he meets the cute little physician’s assistant that looks down upon him like one would an annoying fly, and he finally realizes just what he’s been missing. Something that takes his mind off of the challenge of everyday life. Someone that dares him to be a better father and cop.
And Lennox is one hell of a motivator.
Their relationship starts off rocky as the two of them circle each other like opponents ready to do combat rather than two civil adults. Every day brings a new battle for the two of them to overcome, and before they realize it, they’ll be fighting for each other instead of against each other.
Because there’s one woman who doesn’t want either one of them to be happy…especially not together.

Bennett has been around since Freebirds. and it was during that time that i felt that he was going to need someone that was going to be able to handle not only him and a daughter that he comes with, but also the sister that he has. and Lennox was just the girl that could do that. that is as long as she can overcome her own problems. they both don’t really know how the whole relationship thing works, but together they can figure it out.
another good book for this series.
I just loved Bennett and Lennox’s story. It starts off with Lennox patching up Bennett a few times and not too sure how far she is willing to go with him due to past hurt. Plus throw in a crazy stalker and Lennox is not looking for something serious. Over time though Bennett wears her down and they start to build something. But of course a wrench gets thrown into their plans to be together and they realize they have a person in common, which is not good. I won’t say more for fear of spoiling. Go read this book to find out.
Another fantastic story added to this series. Bennett and Lennox are absolutely perfect for one another. It not all roses, there are many bumps in their road, but their destination is beautiful. I enjoyed this journey with them. Great story!
Kill Shot by Lani Lynn Vale is the sixth book in her KPD Motorcycle Patrol series first which takes place further along the timeline than this series, HOWEVER, this series is on a roll! I have come to expect sensational plot twists, the steamiest of sexy times, and the kind of insta-love that leaves you panting and I was NOT disappointed with Bennet and Lennox’s story.
Bennet is raising his daughter by himself. Her mom has never really been in the picture and is a crazy B that he wants to have nothing to do with his daughter at all – she is truly that poisonous. Lennox is a Physician’s Assistant and works at the local hospital where Bennett keeps ending up after a few scrapes on the job. What starts as a friends with benefits situation quickly transitions into more, despite Lennox holding back to keep her heart safe. But between Bennet’s steadfast drive to make Lennox his and Reagan’s absolute adorableness at welcoming Lennox into their home, Lennox doesn’t stand a chance. But when a ghost from both their pasts turns up like a really bad penny the danger escalates as it only can in a Lani Lynn Vale story and sparks fly! Loved it! Enjoy!
Bennett and Lennox are an amazing couple. Bennett is raising his daughter on his own and his a police officer and part of the swat team. He meets Lennox at the hospital when he has to be bandaged up. These two really do not hit it off. Lennox is a feisty physician assistant. Something about her pulls him to her and after another incident at the hospital Lennox ends up meeting his daughter when she throws something at her. From that moment on after Bennett sees how Lennox handles it he wants to see where things can go between them. But Lennox doesn’t want a relationship. She agrees to friends with benefits. But then something happens and Lennox will do whatever it takes to protect Bennett and his daughter. I absolutely was surprised with this one. I did not see it going the way it did. Bennett was all in whereas Lennox was not. I was shocked at this. I figured it was going to be the other way.
But reading this storyline and watching these two fight for each other and their relationship is absolutely amazing. I loved these two and the storyline. Lani did an amazing job writing this one. I loved how it plays out. I absolutely loved how she throws suspense into this one to keep you hooked until the end. And seriously that is what got me hooked was the characters and the suspense. I had to know what was going to happen. Another great addition to this series. It just keeps getting better and better.
Bennett and Lennox’s story is one even reading it for the second time will bring you to tears, have you laughing and sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation. Two head strong people who might just have something in common other than off the charts chemistry. Kill Shot is steamy, action packed and captivating. Bennett’s story is one that we had been waiting a long time for and believe me the wait was so worth it.
Bennett and Lennox!!! I Loved It! This was such an amazing read. All the emotion really kept me captivated .
Another AWESOME addition to Lani Lynn Vale’s SWAT series! Kill Shot was funny, suspenseful, exciting and oh-so-sexy. And the characters… the best friends, the other members of the SWAT team & their wives, the parents, the kids and especially Bennett & Lennox… I LOVED them to pieces.
I am so in love with Benny Boo Boo & Lennie Lou! They made for such a fun and feisty match together. I loved the bluntness, the teasing, the f***ing “I love yous” and the passion they shared with one another in their relationship. So. Dang. Hot. There was never a dull moment when they were together and that made their story unputdownable!
Bennett… The reason why Lennox calls him the devil, telling Lennox that there are “no take backs” and the tears he shed at almost losing her are just some of the things that made me fall for him. He was deliciously alpha, hardworking, sweet and was such a great dad. I really, really wish he wouldn’t have avoided Lennox for that extended period of time later on in the book but I’m very happy with one “errand” he made during that time. *wink wink*
Lennox… Squirting Paxton with her windshield wipers, her drunk-dialing Bennett and her explanation to the SWAT wives of what “truffle butter” meant are just a couple of the reasons why I really liked her. She’s stubborn, smart, strong and she’s definitely not a doormat. (Thank gods!) Obviously, I wish she would’ve been more upfront with Bennett where her secrets were concerned but her trust issues were understandable.
That crazy-a** b**** Corrinne… Ugh. I am so incredibly happy that she got what she deserved. Yeah, it was pretty harsh but with what she’d done, it was obviously the only acceptable solution. I can’t help but praise Lani Lynn Vale for not taking the weenie route when it comes to the bad guys in her stories. Some go to the mental institution, some go to jail, some die… Not every fictional character needs redeeming. Thank you for that!
And talk about a tease with the Coup De Grace excerpt at the end! I can already tell that Michael & Nikki’s story is going to be heart-breaking. Bring. It. On.
Finally Bennett’s story is here! And what a story it is.
This is the sixth book in the Code 11-KDP Swat series. You don’t have to read them in order, but I suggest that you do. You will love every one of these alpha men, as much as I do.
Lani, thank you so much for writing such awesome stories and amazing characters. I have been in such a reading funk for the past week and I knew this book would totally pull me out of the funk…and it did!
Bennett Alvarez is a member of the KPD Swat team. He is also an ex-Navy SEAL. But the most important thing he is, is a daddy to an eight year old little girl, Reagan Rose. He had her when he was seventeen. He is an amazing dad.
Lennox is a PA, physician’s assistant. She met Bennett when she had to stitch him up a few times at the hospital.
For once, it’s the woman in the book that doesn’t do relationships! Bennett doesn’t give her a choice though.
But Lennox has a stalker. Corrinne has made her life hell since college. And she hasn’t stopped since.
Bennett also has a psycho ex, Corrinne. She’s also Reagan’s mom. But she doesn’t have anything to do with her.
Bennett beaks through Lennox’s walls. It’s not easy though.
“I’ll never let anything hurt you. I can’t see the future. I can’t tell you how tomorrow will look for us. All I can tell you is that I’ll never treat you with anything but respect. I’ll never let you down, and I’ll never be unfaithful.”
Of course the intros to each chapter had me laughing. They normally do.
“I may not voice my opinion often, but when I do you need to shut your filthy, donkey humping mouth and listen to what I have to say.”
Lani Lynn Vale is on my must read list. It doesn’t matter what book it is. If she has a new one out, I have to read it.
Holy crap, these books just get better and better. Sometimes you find authors lagging a bit in their stories, but not Lani Lynn Vale; her stories just keep amazing me with how freaking awesome they are. As usual this IS part of a series, you CANNOT read this as a standalone. Returning characters, and mentions of previous happenings will spoil the others for you!
Bennett, I have been waiting for Benny’s book since Payton & Max’s story. Bennett is Payton’s younger brother, who had a bit of an issue in their story. (No spoilers tsk tsk) I just had to keep my fingers crossed that we would see Benny in his own story one day, and god was it amazing. Bennett is a single dad now, a former Seal, turned SWAT officer. And after a series of…. on the job accidents, he meets Lennox.
Lennox isn’t looking for love, or even a man. But she isn’t dead, so of course she notices Bennett. But she has a problem, a big one. That very problem has Lennox, well, very careful about what happens in her life. So hooking up with Bennett would only be to scratch their itches, and then they go their own ways… But things don’t always go as planned.
I have laughed, sighed, needed a shower, and cried to all of Lani’s stories. This one included!! The right amount of drama, and some very HOT sexy time scenes. The only thing that I felt was missing was one of Payton & Benny Bears fights, lol, they are a freaking hoot!! I give this 5 stars!

I love this book!! Highly recommend this and all books written by Lani Lynn Vale!!!
Bennett and Lennox are wonderful. I love Bennett and his sister’s banter. the SWAT series is so freaking awesome.
Saying this is my favorite Lani book is really not fair. It’s like asking a mother which of her children is her favorite. I love them all! But I picked this one for now, because it was ONE of my favorites by her!
