Award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Christie Ridgway serves up three sexy, sun-drenched romances with a decided emotional kick in the Billionaire’s Beach trilogy.
The most coveted stretch of sand in Malibu, California, is known as Billionaire’s Beach—a hat tip to the wealthy residents who enjoy its flower-scented air and dramatic ocean views. The surfside locale is heating up with … up with happy-ever-afters too, as three determined heroines discover the deliciously wicked heroes their hearts desire.
Bachelor-about-town Jay Buchanan has sworn to go a year without women, but a guy’s gotta eat so he puts out feelers for a private chef. If the best applicant’s female, so what? More needs to come out of his Malibu kitchen than peanut butter and beer, and he’s in no mood for romance anyway.
Long ago Nikki Carmichael learned to put up her guard when it comes to men, and her new client, Jay Buchanan, is the manliest man she’s ever met. She figures ignoring his magnetism will turn him away…but instead it backfires, and Jay is only further intrigued by the woman who refuses to fall at his feet.
They flirt, they fight, they ultimately share a bed and then their deepest secrets…but can these two trust that what seems like a summer fling is truly the love of a lifetime?

Great Story
I love how there are a lot of things going on inn the story but they all tie together. Nikki having things from her past holding her back from a great future. Jay being the ultimate bachelor but finding he might find love, and the sisters.
loved this book
Interesting story with wonderful characters!
Fast reading, held my attention, enjoyed the characters and the steamy parts but I’m a sucker for happily -ever-after.
Enjoyable read!
A fun easy read. I always enjoy this author
Loved this one. Awesome!
I was disappointed in this book. The plot was sluggish.
True love wins again after some disagreements and secrets.
enjoyed
Beautifully written
I loved the chemistry between Jay and Nikki. Loved Jay’s sense of humor and the way he dealt with “Cookie”
Take Me Tender is an easy, light read. At times, it felt like the writer was very young but then pulled into her old wonderful style.
There is a twist at the end of the book that is a little thought-provoking as I’ve never thought about the relationship between siblings who are results of a sperm donor.
Great way to present women’s strengths and some men’s flaws. Redemption, love, kindness and patience within all of the main characters is well done.
This is the first book in the Billionaire Beach series. Jay Buchanan, is the playboy bachelor editor of a man’s magazine and needs a chief for a month at his Malibu home. For one of his articles he has sworn off women for a year. His last chief was a lesbian so when her friend Nikki applies for the job, he assumes she is too. Nikki had to quit her job in a restaurant because of a bad knee that requires surgery, but she doesn’t have the funds. She also has “issues” from loosing her mother at a young age, a distant father and having been They get off to a rocky start, but find they are mutually attracted to each other. Other characters introduced are Jay’s niece, Cassandra, the owner of a knitting store and Shanna Jay’s next door neighbor. I love the author’s Rock Royalty series and look forward to reading the second in this series.
** spoiler alert ** Overall I enjoyed the book. I liked the sharp tongue and quick wit between Nikki and Jay. I appreciated their budding relationship.
The problem I had is with Nikki in regards to Jay’s young 17 year old cousin Fern. Nikki sees signs that Fern is having trouble with her boyfriend and yet Nikki thinks it is best to not get involved. I have not experienced anything like Nikki had and therefore should not judge, however, how can a woman not reach out to a young woman obviously on the cusp of “mature” actions? This really bothered me each time Nikki passed an opportunity. I actually sagged with relief when she came to Fern’s aid when Jenner showed up at the beach house.
Nikki’s interactions with the other characters were more on course for me. I truly understand that her life up until she works for Jay has defined her and Nikki has to come to terms with an alternate way of thinking and living.
The sub-plot of Shanna was also a bit upsetting and yet, understandable considering how she lived her life. She has a lot of regret, sadness and loneliness that just begs you to reach out and hug her. Luckily, Shanna gets a HEA ending with Jorge.
I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
