Detective Kendall Halsrud returns in Iced Malice, another stay-up-all-night suspense thriller by the author of Relative Malice. In the midst of the worst winter in Eau Claire, Wisconsin since 1890, Detective Kendall Halsrud is investigating a case involving two murdered teenagers. Kendall soon realizes the teens’ murders appear eerily similar to the Fiancé Murder case from twelve years ago when … ago when three couples disappeared. A serial killer was suspected at the time but the bodies were never found.
Has the faceless killer returned, or does someone else have his own reason for killing couples?

First book I have read by this author. Definitely adding Marla Madison’s name to favorites list. !
Action packed
I found that the plot skipped in a few places. (ie assumptions were made and didn’t really get explained). The writing was OK. The story line was OK.
Slow read
Good enough to make me want to read the other books in the series. Thumbs up!
I’m a big fan of Kelly Armstrong’s writing style and characters.
Liked it well enough to buy the other books in the series
I read Marla Madison’s first book in the series, Relative Malice. I was excited to see book 2. I love it. I enjoyed it as much as the first book. I will continue to read more of Marla’s books. She is extremely interesting to read.
The characters are strong. Nice to read books with women as the lead character and strong willed.
LOVED THIS ENTIRE SERIES
The author tried to pack too many story lines into the book, which resulted in a lack of development that made it very difficult to get interested in any of them. I managed to finish the book but found myself skimming pages just to get through them. Had there been more character development and a focus on one or two primary storylines, this could have been a much better book. In the end, the book wasn’t so terrible as to deserve a single star…it might be good enough for killing time at the beach or while waiting for the doctor, but it isn’t one that I would recommend, especially not to a fan of action or police drama.
Great summer read, anytime of the year.
Great mystery, good characters and full of twists.
Very good
Keeps you guessing
I enjoyed this book. Not great — but a good story and interesting characters,
Great books without all the vulgarity
Was able to finish reading; don’t plan to get any more in this series though.
