As a reviewer I received a free copy of this book and promised an honest comment. Here it is.
Rating: 4 (of 5 stars).
In general: Dramatic ‘enemies to lovers’ story.
Main characters:
– Elif Mazardarani (20).
An exotic looking girl with Persian and Pakistani roots. Her parents came to Canada when she was 5 years old. The family got wealthy. But when 15 years old Elif became an orphan when her family was killed during a burglary. She was raised by an aunt, who also lived in Canada. The beauty was a little shy and a bit of a nerd who rather enjoyed reading a good book than meeting other unknown people. She studied to become a mechanical engineer.
– Isaah Lone (21).
Athletic, good looking and wealthy he’s one of the most popular boys at the university. His parents also had Pakistani roots. And they became rich when his dad started a garage and made it a success. He likes motor bikes and sometimes worked in his father’s garage. But he too studied English literature for an academic career.
Elif and Isaah meet when he almost overran her with his bike. Her books are spread over the road and they discover a mutual love for literature. But she’s also very angry at him for not apologizing for the near crash. At university they accidentally regularly meet again and often they are bickering about the crude attitude of the other, but on other moments they enjoy talking about books and other things both are interested in. And gradually aversion becomes liking each other.
The author, Beena Khan, starts the story as a not very original ‘enemies-to-lovers’ book. She paints the characters very credible and sympathetic with sassy dialogues and both with interesting cultural roots. But as the story progresses it becomes more and more dramatic with an important role for Isaah’s older brother and Elif’s problems in handling the drama in her life. All in all a compelling novel.

This was an interesting tale of Red’s backstory. The storyline was heartfelt and emotional, and showed some of the complexities of the human/female psyche and some of the difficult choices we have to make.

4.5 stars for Color Me Red by Beena Khan. This is book three in the Red Series. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review. All opinions stated are my own. This book is a prequel that shows us more about how Red became the bada** she was. You already know what is to come for Red but that does not take away from this story at all. I absolutely loved Isaah’s character and wanted happiness for Saagh. This book provided us with a look at how a women can overcome her past and become something so much more. It shows us how Red is a survivor. I love Khan’s writing stye and I can not wait to read more from her. If you want a series that is thought provoking, filled with strong characters, romance and more then this is a series for you.
This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Beena Khan; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

This was my first book by Beena Khan and I really enjoyed it!!! Will Red choose her best friend Saagh who is dark and possessive or will she choose Isaah who ran over her with his motorcycle? I definitely will be going back to check out the other books in the series!!! Read and enjoy!!!

This is the third book in the series and the author does not disappoint! She once again brings strong characters and weaves an emotional story with descriptive scenes and had me glued to the pages reading. My heart went out to Elif and all she goes through. I loved and would recommend this book.

Color Me Red is the third installment from Beena Khan’s Red series. I have enjoyed the previous books of this series and this one does not disappoint. I have to say that this one may be among my favorite to date. This one was one that kept me on an emotional roller coaster. It was so very good.
I am giving Color Me Red five stars. I am hoping there will be a book four from the Red series.
I received Color Me Red from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
