AlexandraI thought I finally had my life figured out. Fate? Destiny? I know mine. But one afternoon questioned everything I thought I knew. Then it happened. Dr. Jason Dupree crashed into my life. His eyes linger on me longer than they should in polite company. You see, there is nothing polite about him. He’s arrogant and overconfident. His touch? It’s my undoing. I let him know in no uncertain … know in no uncertain terms that he is not the man for me.
He is not my destiny.
And his reaction? Totally unexpected.
Jason
The things in my life that matter to me? It’s a short list. My career, a handful of family and friends. To call me unlucky in love would be a gross understatement. Hence my list. It’s how I keep it all figured out.
Then one morning, that safe little list collides with my future.
Her eyes follow me everywhere, and they see through me like a soul x-ray. But it’s her touch that nearly brings me to my knees.
She doesn’t see it, though.
She’s full of denial and sass, and her stares are indignant. She’s a liar too. Telling me she’s interested in another man.
My reaction? Let’s just say she never saw it coming.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the first story I have read by Evelyn. I will definitely be going back to read Crave also. This story was very emotional at times. I really loved Alex and Jason. She had extreme fears and he was committed to no relationships but they still are able to make it work out. You could feel the love come off the pages at times. Evelyn wrote a great story with highs, lows and everything in between.

If Jake and Sandy had me at hello, Jason and Alex broke me at goodbye. Cherish proved to be a captivating follow up to an already irresistible series. What I love most about The Clark Family series is that it tackles everything from racist stereotypes to tempting romance and the beauty of what makes a family. At it’s heart, LOVE, is the foundation for what unites these characters. No matter the color of their skin or the heartache in their lives, LOVE is what guides them through the rough spots. The carefree bachelor finds his soulmate despite the odds. The proof is in the tears.
