As usual, the Southside Skulls, led by the one and only Dax Marshall, are ready to take you on a wild ride.

Eric “Crimson” came to Boston to find his brother Lucas but what he finds is so much more. Amelia has been trying to break free of the past and with the help of “Mia” and a meeting with Crimson she gets more than she ever expected. This story was done so well, while dealing with Amelia’s past and Crimson’s need to save his brother. This book left me breathless and it was filled of characters that I love. Highly recommend this story, series and author!!!
4.5 stars
When I hear the word crimson, I think red hot and heat and it’s clear Jessie Cooke was thinking the same thing when she named her latest novel. Crimson is Cooke’s fourteenth in her Southside Skulls series but all her books can be read as standalone stories.
Crimson came all the way from Scotland out of love and loyalty to his younger brother. Desperate to save him from himself and the hold drugs has on him, he crosses oceans, builds a livelihood and begs assistance from the local MC. Having helped one of the Southside Skulls out recently, they owe him a favor and he’s come to collect.
The woman who walks in his bar doors blows him away and briefly takes him mind off his troubles. She’s a spitfire and there’s something there that pulls at him deeply. What he doesn’t know is the connection between them could cost them everything. Crimson stands by hers even when she’s afraid of who she’s become.
Cooke does a brilliant job of highlighting mental illness and drug use in this book while still bringing her signature brand of loyalty, pulse pounding suspense and biker love. Great read!

This was another great story in this ongoing series ! The story had really great characters, and we loved seeing some original cast members in this current story as we miss them, so this was a really nice touch and treat for us. The story was interesting and suspenseful right up to the bitter end. Crimson was a very interesting character as we immediately fell in love with him the moment he didn’t run for the hills when learning the complicated mess with Mia and Amelia because he was the complete opposite of what we thought he would be, he was supportive and gentle and loving and kind.
I have to say that we loved when Mia popped up that women was a force to be reckoned with, and she made us laugh out loud more than a handful of times with Amelia it was quite the opposite she brought out our protective instinct and all we wanted to do is smother her with love and affection.
We are giving props to Angel as she was one bad*** old lady and also a force to reckon with too !
Overall, this was a very touching story that had suspense and a great cast of characters and a web of lies and deceit at every turn and so much more. We loved the chemistry that Amelia and Crimson had it was slow burning and passionate and heartfelt, and they were perfect for one another, and we loved that love was found in a most unusual way.
This story kept me turning pages. The heat and attraction between Amelia/Mia and Crimson was instant and hot. Amelia’s past complicated her present, and my heart broke as things became clearer for her. Crimson was such a gentleman without realizing it that I fell for his charms as well. I loved the family feel to this MC and how they supported each other no matter what. The trust between the core as well as the new characters was special. All this helped make it through all the bad things coming their way. I recommend this story.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Saving Your Brother and Saving a Woman
Crimson was a Scot who had moved to Boston and bought a small bar while looking for his brother, Lucas. He had an in with the Southside Skulls MC by having helped one of the brothers out and their Prez, Dax, always offered a helping hand for those who helped him. Lucas was an addict who got in with the wrong crowd…the Feds!! They were looking to take down a kingpin in the Mexican drug cartel and Lucas was their man to help out. Crimson had no idea what his brother was up to, he just knew he had to find him after the frantic calls from Lucas saying he was going to be killed.
Amelia/Mia was a woman who had struggles with mental health and it was Mia who first “introduced” herself to Crimson. It was crazy because they both could feel a connection that was deep down. Crimson had no way of knowing at the time that she was the sister to Josiah who was a member of the Southside Skulls. I loved Amelia/Mia’s storyline and the way that Crimson was there for her every step of the way supporting her however he could. They did have an intense connection even after discovering Amelia’s issues.
There were harrowing times in this book along with showing how these big strong men took care of their family and their women. Even with that said believe me there was the dark side of the world that showed its ugly head as well. An HEA with an ending that had you thinking of what could happen next to the men of the Southside Skulls MC.
