He’s not a playboy. Not a bad boy. Not an alpha. Admittedly, Aiden McAllister didn’t always keep his nose clean, and there are those that might describe him as… well, as any of the above. Most regrettably, he’s always been bridled with a bullseye on his forehead that decries him as marriage material, so he ran far and fast to avoid such a suffocating trap.Natalie is clearly hiding something, … clearly hiding something, and Aiden suspects she is more than the introverted photographer she claims to be.
One fantastic night, and Natalie’s former boss connects them as partners in crime. To keep him safe, Natalie has to revisit the past she’s been desperate to keep hidden.
(Yes, you can read this as a standalone, but why stop at just one?)

This is the first book I’ve read in the series. This can be read as a standalone, I definitely plan to read the first two books. This was well written, has amazing characters and the storyline was intriguing. When Natalya was nineteen she witnessed a murder while on a burglary job. Two FBI agents were investigating the person she stole from so they followed her back to her house. She has to change her identity and keep hidden. Aiden is an attorney trying to get his new practice up and running. He was a troubled teen and did somethings that could have ended with him in jail. His brother and sister are both settled with the loves of their lives but Aiden doesn’t go back for seconds with anyone. The attraction between Nat and Aiden is explosive and their playful banter was enjoyable to read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the first book I have read in this series and although it can be enjoyed as a standalone, it made me want to read the earlier stories in the series. The ARC was provided by Hidden Gems in exchange for this review. It started as a pretty typical contemporary romance but turned into a story with quite a bit more to it.
The story opens in flashback of six years in the past, where we find Natalya as a cat burglar breaking into a home where she witnesses a crime. She is immediately picked up by the FBI and then put in hiding. When we fast forward, she is living in a small town in Maine and she briefly meets and clicks with Aidan, who has just returned home to open a law practice. As we get more into the present day, we find Nat part of a group of friends that are Aiden’s family, friends, and significant others. There is a hint to a past one night they shared but both seem to hesitate to have more. Their relationship has a lot of back and forth, mainly with Nat running hot and then cold, but the backstory makes it make sense.
As Nat’s past comes back, it draws Aidan into this part of her life that he had no idea about. This is where the book takes a turn and I do not want to give anything away, but there is plenty of action and suspense that kept me reading and guessing how it would end. What I appreciated most about this book was how the couple did not have sex when they were in dangerous situations. It made them seem more like real people. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the story and makes me want to read the other books in the series.
This is book three in A Beachside Romance Series and it is Natalie and Aiden’s story and omg what A story it was. Aiden is an attorney and he has been working hard to get his practice off the ground in Seaview Maine. Natalie is in hiding and has been for years after seeing a murder and putting a powerful man in prison but as much as she would love to be with Aiden but she can’t risk it and put him and her friends in danger so she keeps her distance. Natalie and Aiden have such a strong connection and chemistry but will they ever get a chance of being together or will Natalie have to keep running to protect her friends and family. Wow I couldn’t put this book down as I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and there was so many twists and turns that it keeps you on your toes and it is so addictive. Carrie is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and other’s by her and you will definitely not be disappointed and I can’t wait to read more of her books.
I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.
The third book in the Beachside Romance series a well written story that held my interest until the end. I enjoyed reading Natalie and Aiden’s story of suspense, drama, twists, turns, and romance. I received a copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
