Colleen Hoover, the New York Times bestselling author of Maybe Someday, brilliantly brings to life the story of the wonderfully hilarious and charismatic Warren in a new novella, Maybe Not. When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change. Or maybe not. Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating … roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
Maybe.

About this novel i would say, if you’re under 17 so maybe this novel is not for you.
I had to start Maybe Not the second I finished Maybe Someday. I was scared because I LOVED how Maybe Someday ended and I was afraid that I was going to get thrown for a loop in this follow up novella. Rest assured, it will be ok, this novella is about Warren and Bridgette not our beloved Sydney and Ridge!
This is a short novella, just over 100 pages, but so much is packed into those pages. All the quirkiness, all the pranks, all the tension between them. Not to mention, the explanations behind the way Bridgette acts. It’s heartbreaking to find out how rough her life was, but Brennan wasn’t exaggerating in Maybe Someday, she did have it worse than him and Ridge. Warren shows himself to be so much more than the playful roommate he was in the first book too. He really cares about Bridgette and it’s very cool to see into his mind in this story.
If you loved Maybe Someday, be sure to pick this one up as well!
After Maybe Someday, I thought I’d better check this one out too because Hoover’s characters have a way of sticking around and they were all still on my mind.
This one’s a bit steamier than any others I’ve read by this author, and it’s short but it does still have substance and real feels.
It’s a fun read on its own and most of the characters fit with how they appeared to be the last time we saw them so there’s good continuity. Overall, a good way to spend a couple hours.
4 stars.
Note:
I listened to the audiobook; this was interesting. The narrator was fine—not spectacular but I could stand to listen to him and I really can’t most people. The interesting part is there were parts spliced in in a slightly different voice, as if he had to fix or re-record parts and couldn’t be bothered to get back into character. Sort of unimpressed with that. 3-star performance.
Yea I don’t really care for Warren and Bridgette. They both are insanely immature and while I get a bunch of stuff happened in Bridgette’s life, her attitude sucks. I kinda wish I didn’t read this novella.
I love how this short book shows the behind the scenes story for Warren and Bridgette. Bridgette is ALOT more likable after reading this and I love how everything is all or nothing with these two. And the bedroom scenes. OMG don’t play this at work haha! This was a great inside look at their story. And you still get to see the other characters as it runs on the same story/time frame as Maybe Someday. I very much enjoyed this additional peek into the story line and learning more about what makes the characters the way they are.
He’s the guy who finds his new roommate insanely attractive, he is also the guy who can’t stand to be around his mean new roommate. Even though she’s the most inconsiderate person he’s ever met in real life, he can’t stop smiling.
She’s confusing. She’s frustrating. She’s unpredictable. She’s nothing He’s ever wanted in a girl. And absolutely everything he needed.
Overall:
This was a sexually driven story. I was surprised by the number of sex scenes. I underestimated Colleen I didn’t think she had it in her to write these type of sex scenes. They were fun to read. This didn’t read like a typical Colleen Hoover book. Which suits me fine. Nothing wrong with variety.
This was a quick fun read with lots of sex and pranks.
Good characters… impressed a lot…
I love warren.
Colleen Hoover never disappoints. She draws you into her stories and keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. This was a great addition to the series
Read this as serial on Wattpad which I loved. It is too bad some people went too crazy with their opinions and got so nasty with each other
Loving Maybe Someday so much I treasure anything more we get of these characters I love so much
I really enjoyed reading this HOT story. Another great one from the author. It’s been a joy reading this book.
I loved this novella and I wish it would have been a full length novel instead, since I definitely was left wanting more. What a great and intense story. I definitely recommend it.
I’m getting annoyed with Goodreads because I just want to write a new review since this is my second time reading this book, but I can’t seem to do that without the original review showing up, so whatever.
Here. My latest review of Maybe Not (written on April 15, 2018).
I just finished a reread of Maybe Someday and just couldn’t stop there. Part of what makes that book so much fun are Warren and Bridgette. So, I naturally had to continue with this book so I could get that glimpse into what was going on with them while Ridge and Sydney had their crazy love story.
Warren and Bridgette are hilarious. They are also sweet and fun and totally unlikely, but they work. He likes bitchy girls, Bridgette has that covered. She likes, well, no one. Warren is persistent to a fault.
And can we talk about the prank war? It’s such a big part of living in this apartment and I love that Bridgette gets in on it too. Even when you think she doesn’t. The cups?!!! Genius.
So, this is a cute story that lets us see the lighter side of living in that apartment filled with angst. This is Warren and Bridgette and their love story. You’ll enjoy taking this side trip in this Maybe world.

My first review of Maybe Not:
I’m on a Colleen Hoover kick at the moment. I want to read everything this lady has written. Luckily, this was a cheap book and one with characters I really wanted to see again.
Warren was awesome in Maybe Someday. I loved the fact that he was fiercely loyal to Ridge and that he always had Ridge’s best interest in mind. He seemed to be that one friend who would move mountains if he thought it would help you in the end. So, when I saw that Maybe Not would be told from his POV and we would get to see how he and Bridgette managed to hook up, well, I couldn’t say no.
Spoiler-y from here on out. So, read at your own risk.
I’m happy to report that Warren is all he seems in Maybe Someday. He is fiercely loyal to Ridge and he is a complete and total asshole. But he’s one of those assholes you love. He’s funny, charming, and wants to have fun with life. He also has the hots for his new roommate, Bridgette.
Bridgette is mean. We know this before we even start this book, but we also know that she seems to have a soft spot for Warren. Why?! It can’t just be the sex. Can it?
Oh, Bridgette! She fell hard for Warren. So hard she practically flew! The relationship between Bridgette and Warren is very give and take. They fight as if they are married, the sex is intense, and they have absolutely no idea how to be normal. I think it’s a good thing. Their dynamic works for them. It is fun and intense and I am so glad they found each other.
Omg this was a great quick read…I think everyone needed this after Maybe Someday
Ridge is FOREVER my favorite book boyfriend!!!!
