Clark and Makayla are likable characters. Their story is believable, honest, and touching. Follow them through their budding romance, misunderstandings that derail their relationship, and their ultimate happy ever after.
We get a look at the life of a female sports reporter, with all the ups and downs that entails. The story also highlights the pressure on a high level sports star. It’s nice to know from the start that life will eventually work out for Clark and Makayla.
I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. It’s fun escapism at its finest!
This was absolutely adorable!! Clark was so charming and kind hearted. He wasn’t at all like you’d expect a famous athlete to be like and I loved that. Makayla was a bit slow but I like how Clark brought out the best in her. Great read!

Clark is the winning quarterback in the Super Bowl. He runs into a reporter just before half-time – literally. He plowed into her on the sideline. Makayla is a local sports reporter, working hard to find her big break. She’s definitely a little more famous after her run-in with Clark, but it hasn’t helped her career aspirations any. This is a really sweet and clean romance. Clark is such a gentleman toward Makayla always, and he was so sweet to help with her autistic nephew. Makayla thinks that she doesn’t have a lot to offer someone like Clark, but he tries his best to convince her otherwise. Her “sister” Janine – a little pushy when it comes to taking care of her son, but she is so supportive of Makayla, and gives her a kick in the rear when she needs it most. I just love Clark’s Memaw, setting a place for Aunt Jackie at every meal – such a sweet memory. And finally – OMG, the ties to Magnolia Grove are just super, and it was so nice to see old friends at Franks for karaoke night.

Second in this wonderful news series. The story grabs to you right from the beginning and holds on through the characters trials and tribulations right up to their HEA. Don’t miss this one, plus you may want to go back and read the first in the series even though they are standalone books.
This is a well written sports romance with strong characters in Clark and Makayla. The author does a great job developing the relationship and giving them a hot chemistry. I enjoyed all the secondary characters who helped bring the story around. Her scenes are described in vivid detail and the story flows fluidly. I enjoyed reading this fast paced romance. Well done!

Makayla is a reporter on the sidelines for the Super Bowl. Clark is in the biggest game of his career when he plows into a reporter on the sidelines. One look at Makayla and Clark is certain that the game won’t be the only big score.
I loved this book. It pretty much continued from Chip and Greta’s story. The characters were wonderful. The story line was good.

Right from the first time Clark and Makayla meet, I was smitten. I enjoyed reading about Clark and Makayla’s whirlwind romance and the struggles they face to stay together. There are lots of great secondary characters and fast-paced football scenes too!
