It’s no secret that me and love don’t mix. Not after it schemed to rip my heart out and leave me a single father. The biggest question I have is what to do with forever now that my wife is gone.As much as I hate it, it’s time for a break from my famous life.A year off to spend time with my little girl is what the doctor ordered.Giggles, smiles, and tons of ice cream for the two of us.And somehow, … tons of ice cream for the two of us.
And somehow, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen runs the ice-cream parlor.
But getting involved isn’t a choice. Not even when my little girl falls head over heels for this woman that’s stealing my every thought.
No matter how much I want to give up everything for the curvy girl that’s rocking my world day and night.
She deserves far more than me, but I’m just selfish enough to want to deny her another lover.
To take up residence in her heart and stay.
It gets even more serious when I find myself playing her fake boyfriend to her uppity mother.
It’s a part I’d love to play daily.
The promise of healing, love, and a big family have me running fast and hard because that same question plays over and over again…
What if fate takes her away too?
Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

Wow! Where do I start? This book showcases a beautiful love story, a heart wrenching second chance for a man and his sweet little girl, and a story of healing. Callen is amazingly honest and good to his core. Tiffeny is so mature, understanding and accepting of everything. Several times I needed tissues, once I was sitting in a waiting room reading and laughed out loud so everyone stared at me. (Kind of embarrassing, but when words can make you both cry and laugh out loud, you have found a great author). Another great read from Mr. Parker!!
A great single dad romance. Very well written with an amazing cast of characters. This is a beautiful story about falling in love again after loss. I enjoyed every page.
This is a well written book with strong , well developed characters and a heartfelt story line. The author brings Callen and Tiffeny together and weaves an emotional romance with ups and downs , secrets and love. I loved little Willow and enjoyed reading their story. It moves quickly and smoothly and had me hooked from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Excellent writing and storytelling. A true, true love story.
Rockstar and widower Callen and his three-year-old daughter Winter move to Myrtle Beach after their road tour is over. Callen lost his wife three years ago and it still feels like it was just yesterday. He has not moved on and feels like he cannot move on. he doesn’t think he will ever love again, but when he meets Tiffeny, his heart flip-flops and he realizes he is attracted to her more than anyone since his wife’s death. Callen continues to write music, but he needs a break from the tour life to reengage with his daughter Winter. She is totally unhappy with her school in LA and loves her new school in Myrtle Beach. Everything about Myrtle Beach is homey, comfy, laid-back and serene. A total turnaround of the hectic LA rockstar life. as Callen and Winter get more and more settled in their new home, Uncle Clark comes to visit and convinces Callen to go back on the road. He leaves without telling Tiffeny goodbye, literally breaking up with her in one word sentences on the phone. It is so tragic. It breaks Tiffeny’s heart. Callen cannot go through heartbreak like he did when he lost his wife so he closes off love. It takes him a couple of months to realize he’s not happy, not happy with the way he left Tiffany, not happy with the way Winter feels, because Winter keeps asking when are we going home daddy. It’s at that point that he realizes he is in love with Tiffany and he should’ve never left. There are surprises waiting for him when he gets home. Will Tiffeny forgive him? Or has he ruined it? you will love this book. It’s full of all kinds of emotions, good and bad, and you can see people changing their personalities to accommodate what is going on around them. Awesome.
Callen is a single dad struggling over the death of his wife and he realizes that he must do a major change in their lives to get over the grief and move on. He moves across the country to a small town where he meets Tiffany. She is a small business owner and soon they are feeling the pull towards each other . Another fabulous story by Weston Parker and I honestly volunteered to review this arc.
Keeping Secrets by the talented Weston Parker, was a great story that has a whole lot of heart that will pull at your heartstrings. We meet rockstar single father Callen who is ready for a break from the life in LA so he packs up his daughter and heads to Myrtle Beach. Tiffeny a small ice cream shop own meets the handsome new comer and this is just the start to one great story. This was a well written story it was hard to put down I finished it in one sitting. I couldn’t help but fall for these great characters and let me just say the youngest character definitely stoled my heart. Weston definitely did one incredible job. I absolutely loved this story and I highly recommend it.
Definitely recommend this book. Awesome characters and storyline. Lots of drama and fun. Many lol moments to keep it interesting. Read cover to cover because it was that good.
This was a very lovely story about finding love again after loss, with an interesting footnote about how even bad behavior can be overcome. The chemistry between Callen and Tiffeny sparks from every page, especially while they’re trying to resist one another. I was all in with this pair. Or at least I was until it all started falling apart. Then, I was left scratching my head over how silly Callen was being. Mind you, I know perfectly well just how irrational emotions can be. And this story was a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I found I experienced everything from laughter to tears, joy to anger, and all the variations in between. Now I’m desperately hoping there’s going to be a book about the best friends in the future.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
I really enjoyed this book with the well written storyline, a plot that flowed smoothly from page to page and characters that were created with such great detail and depth that I was totally captivated as each and every page was turned!
A secret guilty pleasure read
Tiffeny, an ice cream shop owner, has an awkward first meeting with Callen, a rock star on hiatus, at the day care where he intends to enroll his daughter. As the story progresses awkwardness seems to be their theme, fighting against themselves becomes difficult, and finally taking a moment to process everything could backfire. Weston Parker’s Keeping Secrets is a lively tale about learning to let the past stay where it needs to be, accepting the present is not always pleasant, and hoping that the future will follow a brighter path. You will definitely keep this one a secret guilty pleasure read.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
It’s a love story. It’s a story about healing. It’s about friends. Callen lost his wife shortly after his baby girl was born and she has been his number one. He has closed himself off to all but his best friend, Clark, who tells him he needs some time off away from the band. He and his daughter move to Myrtle Beach and immediately feel at home. He meets Tiffeny, owner of the ice cream shop, and is stunned by his feelings that he thought were long dead. His best friend Clark encourages Callen to open up his heart and get past the grieving to give his daughter a fuller life. Tiffeny has not had very good luck with her man choices. Her bestie, Julia will not let her close off and live for today when she meets Callen. Well written and a most enjoyable story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Callen is coming to terms with the death of his wife while trying to raise their daughter on a tour with as the lead guitarist of a band. When they go on a hiatus, he moves to Myrtle Beach because those were their plan before she died. What he didn’t expect was to find his future in the form of Tiffeny a delightful woman who told it straight about how she felt. As these to spend time together his daughter asked a question that set Callen back causing him to make a bad decision. Now he is back and is in for the shock of his life. Will Tiffeny forgive his moment of indecision so that they can build a happily ever after? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Couldn’t put it down . Loved it better then 5 stars
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Whoa this hot read was really good. Callen and Tiffeny and little Winter were such great characters. Callen is the single father who is afraid to have a relationship because he doesn’t want to betray his dead wife’s memory. Tiffeny is a business owner who doesn’t know anything about Callen life but she knows she wants to know him better.
