After three years in Credence trying to fade into the background, Della Munroe is sick of being invisible. She’s ready to take back control. To live a little. Hell, she’s ready to see what this dating fuss is all about. And if that means she has to download Tinder and date every guy in Colorado, then she’s up for it. After her first disastrous attempt, she decides navigating online dating would … dating would be better with a wingman, and there’s no better person for it than Tucker Daniels. After all, he is a man. And he owns a bar, which practically makes him a relationship expert. He’s also her older brother’s best friend. Yes, she may have the teeniest tiny inconvenient crush on him, but he’s always had her back.
Tucker Daniels would rather eat broken glass than watch Della go out with a bunch of douchebag dudes only out for one thing. Unfortunately, he’s never been able to say no to her, and before he knows it, Tucker’s not only vetting her dates–he’s teaching her to drive, helping her move out, and buying her a puppy!
But when Della wants him to tutor her in more intimate arts, he freaks out. Because this little sister is strictly off-limits, and saying yes to Della is asking for a whole lot of trouble.
Each book in the Credence, Colorado series is STANDALONE:

Della gives hope for anyone that has endured the unthinkable, you can come out of it better and stronger. When Arlo brought her to Credence, she was broken but with Arlo’s determination and a community that embraced her, she found her way back to living. She finds herself ready to venture into dating, something she skipped going from high school to a husband. The biggest challenge is she has no experience at dating so Tucker becomes her wingman. Tucker has been a listening ear for Della when she needed it. She captured his heart a long time ago but because she is Arlo’s sister, he keeps his distance. Now he is coaching her in dating as well as improving her bedroom skills with the stipulation this is temporary. Can something that feels so right really be temporary? I loved this journey, it is raw and honest while delivering a beautifully sexy and sweet romance. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Della gets her happily ever after!
Della Munroe has finally climbed out of her shell after three years with getting a job, making friends and hopefully dating. Della wanted to date but with Arlo being the chief of police, she decided to sign up for a dating app and possible have a date when she went to Denver. Tucker Daniels found out she was registered on Tinder and volunteered to coach her in dating after the first date went bust. Tucker liked Della but thought he was too old for her but when she asked for help, he couldn’t resist and that leads to the best part of the story.
I absolutely love all of the books in the Credence, Colorado series but I am thrilled that Della got her happily ever after with Tucker and became the person that we hoped she would become. The best part is the people at the old folks’ home specially Rosemary Forbes and Ray Carmody.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another brilliant book from the talented Amy Andrews, she certainly knows how to pull you in and deliver a book that grips you from the first chapter. There’s great chemistry, fantastic characters and not to mention humour and laugh out loud moments too. “Asking for Trouble” is absolutely mesmerizing. This slow-burn story is packed with emotion and sexual tension that will make you fall head-over-heels. I devoured the book in hours, I couldn’t put it down, nothing got down that day at all, so why don’t you download it now and find out for yourselves. I absolutely can’t wait for the next book from this spectacular and talented author. Happy reading everyone!!
I absolutely love this book! I’ve read the other books in this series, so I was hoping that both Della and Tucker would get their own books. The fact that they are a couple makes me positively giddy.
For those who haven’t read Amy Andrews before, please know that her intimate scenes are open door. If this offends you, you might want to try a different book. Her stories and characters are wonderfully complex, funny, sweet and real. While Della and Tucker are obviously the main focus of the story, Andrews introduces (or reintroduces) the reader to many of the town’s citizens, which adds more flavor and laughs to the book. I personally would love to hang out with Rosemary and Winona, have a drink at the bar with Drew and Arlo or sit and chat with Ray and Bob.
Our couple’s journey is a slow build, but it needs to be. Della has suffered abuse and trauma, which may be a trigger for some readers. The care and love that Tucker treat her with, even before their coupledom, is simply heartmelting. Every woman deserves a man like that in her life.
I can’t say enough good things about this book! Asking For Trouble is definitely one of my top reads this year
I don’t think I could love this book more!!
I absolutely adored Della and Tucker!!! Both for similar reasons and yet different.
All thought Della is a fictional character, I couldn’t wait to watch her grow as a woman especially after what happened to her. She was the type of person that you just got excited when she tried something new or asked for what she want. The courage and bravery that she showed was remarkable.
Tucker was the perfect book boyfriend. He was so wonderful to Della. They were friends first and when she came to him asking for him to teach her things like how to drive, it was only natural. He approached Della different than her brother did. He stood back and let her do her thing but still close enough to be there if she needed him.
I understood many of the issues between them when the feelings started to complicate things, but I still shook my head over the “Arlo’s little sister” roadblock. To me, if I was Arlo, there wouldn’t be a better man for my sister to be with.
Another fabulous story in the Credence, Colorado series. Now normally my favorite character is always the hot guy and while Tucker was quite fine, Della was awesome! There was just something about her that I just loved and I could not wait for her to finally get her happily ever after. Della had only been in Credence for a few years but her life up to that was awful and she needed the time to recover and try to start a new life. When she was finally ready to start fresh she asked her brother’s friend, Tucker, to be her wingman. Tucker is a fantastic guy and understands what Della is trying to do and helps her. Of course nothing can be easy because Della and Tucker both have crushes on each other but according to Tucker nothing can happen because he is so much “older” than Della and her brother is his best friend so it would just be weird. This is where I started to love Della. Della didn’t have any friends when she came to Credence but she slow made a few good ones and she had her therapist that she could talk to and because of this and what Della was trying to overcome she just asked for what she wanted. Della didn’t play games and just hoped things would happen, if she wanted something she asked no matter how awkward the conversation might be. I absolutely loved this about her. And of course she asked several thing of Tucker and he did help her out and WOW did he help her out! They really were a fabulous couple and were exactly what the other needed. This may have been my favorite book so far in the series. But I am hoping that Arlo gets a book next with a certain romance writer!
** I received a copy of Asking for Trouble from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions weren’t solicited in any way.**
Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews is the third book in her Credence, CO series. I have to say this right away it was a 8 on the HOT meter so if that’s not to your liking then take a pass please. (I loved it) Between the senior citizens especially Ray and Rosemary who had a giggle worthy pre-date conversation with their friends plus the trip to Frieda’s Palace with the girls is the best part of the book. I loved Drew who tries his hardest to come up with alternate titles to a mortician. Who knew that vegetables can be used in a suggestive way with a Tinder hook up? Not me that’s for sure. All in all I give Asking for Trouble at 4.8 rating and am waiting for Sheriff Arlo’s story hopefully soon.
When Arlo rescued his sister Della Munroe three years ago from her abusive husband he never dreamed that asking his best friend Tucker to be her wing man could lead to her having fantasies. Because every one of the new ladies in Credence were probably had the same thoughts of what he’d be like in bed. Tucker reluctantly agrees to escort Della to Denver for her therapist appointment but when she asks him to be her sex “coach”, Tinder date rescuer and drivers ed instructor both of them will discover how they really feel about each other. When Della finally tells Tucker that she loves him his first thoughts are that he’s too old for her and worried how he’ll tell Arlo he’s been dating his sister will be the defining point of does he love her or not?
Tucker is running the bar in Credence after his father passed plus learning how to make fruity drinks for the new ladies who have moved to town has kept him on his toes. So when Della walks into the bar and asks about how to find a date on Tinder can he really be her wing man without wondering if she’d date him. He’ll be exactly what Della needs a compassionate sounding board as she explores their mutual feelings for each other.
This story needs some work. The two main characters are hard to like, I understand that there is a history of abuse, but the plot drags. There are good spots that save the romance, but seriously, some of this is like teen angst. Ok read.
This is the third book in the Credence Colorado series. Della arrived in Credence three years ago after a brutal marriage, where she survived sexual abuse. It has taken a lot of love from her brother Arlo, and a lot of therapy, but she is now ready to get on with her life. She asks her brother’s best friend Tucker to be her “wingman” navigating through Tinder. Of course, Tucker and Della have feelings for each other, but are afraid to admit it. Tucker and Della are both very likable characters, and getting to their happily ever after was enjoyable. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
Asking For Trouble is a fantastic contemporary romance by Amy Andrews. Ms. Andrews has provided readers with a well-written book populated with a stellar cast of characters. Kudos to Ms. Andrews for dialog and humor she wove through this story. Della has decided it’s time to find a man and is joining Tinder. She enlists her brother’s best friend, Tucker, to be her wingman. Della and Tucker’s story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle and is a fun read. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover and look forward to my next book by Amy Andrews. Asking For Trouble is part of the Credence, Colorado Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4 Star Review Asking For Trouble (Credence, Colorado #3) by Amy Andrews
Amy Andrews is a relatively new author to me and I have to ask myself why that is. This is Della Munroe and Tucker Daniels’s story and was heart warming.
Having been rescued from an abusive marriage, Della is finally ready to step back in to the dating game, unfortunately for her, she is not doing a good job in picking her dates and that’s when Tucker decides to step in and keep her safe.
I love small town romance and Asking For Trouble certainly made for entertaining reading. It was wonderful to see Della finally come into her own and I loved how protective and caring Tucker was. The secondary characters were great and I am looking forward to reading their stories.
There was humour and fun with a whole lot of feel good moments. I really l admired Della, she has a strength and determination to grow and learn from her past and I really wanted her to get the happily ever after that she so deserved.
I received a copy through the publisher from Netgalley.
Asking for Trouble tells the story of Della Munroe, who three years after her half-brother, Arlo, rescued her from an abusive marriage, is working on getting her life back. She is going to therapy, she’s moved out of her brother’s house and she’s joined Tinder so she can hopefully experience some of the things that her ex robbed her of.
Arlo’s best friend Tucker Daniels, owns Lumberjack’s Bar and has been someone that Della has trusted since she came back to Credence. When Della encounters a disastrous first date on Tinder, she enlists him to give her pointers and basically be her wingman.
When the two share a drunken kiss, things take a drastic turn when Della asks Tucker to teach her the finer points of sex and dating. She knows that he’ll respect going slowly and if she needs to stop because she’s been triggered, he would get that too. Will these two who have secret feelings for one another really be able to sleep together and then all of a sudden be done?
I enjoyed this story and I liked how sweet and tender Tucker was with Della. He understood what had happened to her in the past and he had the right attitude and demeanor to be with her. I liked that Della was strong and she worked her way back when things could have gone the other way for her. I really hope that we get Arlo’s story – I’m very intrigued by what that could offer!

Another fun book by Amy. Even though there are a series of books in the Credence series, they are all stand alone’s. This is about Della and Tucker. This does deal with some abuse issues , so if that is a trigger for you, then I’d pass. Nothing graphic, just an explanation on Della’s past. Della is the sister of the town cop, Arlo. So in the man department is already has a strike against her. Not to mention her past. Tucker is Arlo’s best friend. He needs to stay away from Della, trying to hold up his “Bro code” and an eleven year age difference as well. Due to some life changes, Tucker and Della end up spending a lot of time together. Can they hold off their chemistry to one another and remain friends? There’s some great banter in this book that will make you laugh. We have the old folks home where Della works, always putting their two cents in and the banter between Drew, Arlo and Tucker, not to mention between Tucker and Della. Grab a copy today and enjoy!
4 1/2 stars.
This is a story about 25 year old Della taking her life back. I loved it! Della deserves all the happiness in the world after every horrible thing her ex-husband put her through. Now that she has been living in Credence with her half brother Arlo for three years, she feels ready to put herself back out there but she may need some help. Enter the sexiest wingman ever, Tucker. Della has been crushing on her brother’s best friend, who is also a decade older than her, for some time now. But will he ever look at her like more than his BF’s little sister?
Let the fun and sexy shenanigans begin.
Love these Credence folks and really enjoyed this story.
I received an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley.
Asking for Trouble is the third book in the Credence, Colorado series but can truly be read as a stand-alone. This was a new series and new author for me, and I was amazed by the author’s ability to make the characters’ emotions come to life. I could feel the anguish and hope Della had for her future. I like how Della was able to overcome her abusive relationship with her ex-husband with the support of her brother and the townspeople. They drew her in and made her one of them. This was a wonderful, heartfelt romance and I fell in love with all the characters.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A healing, “Della Get’s Her Groove Back” romance. Although Asking For Trouble covers some heavier topics than the past Credence books, it is still an excellent read and makes me crave more!
Della Munroe was in an abusive relationship prior to moving to Credence and living with her brother, Arlo, who is also the local sheriff. For the past three years she has been healing, attending therapy, and gaining back her confidence as a woman all under the safety of Credence’s residents. Now that she’s finally feeling some confidence, and perhaps due somewhat to her tiny crush on the hot bartender, she’s ready to try dating. Enlisting said hot bartender’s help she joins Tinder and it isn’t long before he’s her wingman, her date guru, and eventually her sexy time trainer. Not that she’s complaining.
Tucker Daniels watched Della come to town a broken woman. He has also watched her bloom over the last three years into a stronger, braver version of herself. When she boldly asks him for help on dating and then tips for things he would love to do to her himself, he knows he’s in trouble. Staying by her side seems like the best option, he just never expected to fall so deep.
Della and Tucker’s story is a very slow burn, but once it does ignite, hold on to your seat because holy hotness!! Della also teaches us that communication is key in any relationship whether it is with family, friends or between partners. It’s a wonderful message to take away from this heartwarming story.
“Asking for Trouble” by Amy Andrews
Well, I did love the “story”,,, but to be honest there were more sex scenes that I personally prefer. But I did find some chuckles, and a bit of heart-ache and I truly liked the story. Oh, and I think I learned a couple of things, too. I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley with the hope of a review. I do find it a fine line between telling others what I like or not without possibly spoiling the story for them. This is a stand-alone story. That said, I have read another story by this author set in this town and hope to read more stories set in Credence. If you liked the official description. I am pretty sure you will like this story. Happy Reading !!
Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews a five-star read that you will want to ask for. This is the third novel in the Credence, Colorado series, but they truly can be read as stand-alone stories as I haven’t read the whole series and didn’t feel like I missed much as this story focuses on Della and Tucker, there are the amazing characters of Credence like Rosemary who will make you smile and chuckle. Della was a great character and her strength shines through, I loved how she had the spark to fight back, it could have been so much easier for her if she picked someone else, but the heart wants what it wants. What I would give to be sat in Jacks having a cocktail right now.
There are times when books draw you in and touch your heart. They make you cry, they make you laugh, they make you think and in the end you wish you could walk into the pages of the story and give the main characters, in this case Della and Tucker, a hug and tell them they were meant to be .
This is such a book. The story centers around Della Munroe and Tucker Daniels. Bella has been in Cadence for three years living with her brother, the town’s sheriff. A brother she knew nothing about, but one that without hesitation, rescued her from a life of abuse and gave her a shelter. Each day she’s doing better and is ready to try and spread her wings.
Tucker is the owner of the local bar and best friend’s with Della’s brother. He’s been attracted to her since early on, when she would come to the bar to bury her sorrows. But the bro creed is not one to be crossed, and he thinks he’s too old for her.
But life has a way of changing one’s destiny and what was to be a learning experience becomes more than that.
Will Della get to be “free” and discover that contrary to her original beliefs, she’s worthy of love ? Will Tucker get over his own doubts?
A story worth your time. Be sure and have your hankies ready.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Entangled. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Yee-Freaking-Haw! Amy Andrew books always leave me with a huge smile on my face. Every. Single. Time. Her books are a perfect mixture of humor, sexy times and romance…oh…and the heroes will melt your e-reader app and the heroines will have you laughing out loud and you will want them to be your best friend. Sweet, swoony, emotional perfection. I loved it from start to finish.
Della Munroe and Tucker Daniels’ story, is absolutely delightful! Delicious. Funny. Charming. Hot! Their chemistry explodes off the pages and will have your heart pounding and your body tingling with desire as these two go from friends to lovers. A well-rounded, easy read that will leave you with a smile on your face and an ache in…ahem…other places.
With a fantastic as well as quirky cast of secondary characters that will steal your heart and will have you wanting to make a run to Frieda’s Palace after you finish reading, because you will crave…a bunny, or other things…like never before. Bring on more of the fantastic stories that this amazing and talented author writes. Happy Freaking reading!!
