Reading about Sheriff Joanna Brady never fails to please. J.A. Jance does a great job in developing both her characters and the story line. You find yourself drawn into the story, and genuinely caring about the characters.
I have loved J.A. Jance’s Beaumont series since it started. But this book was way too hard to get into and through. I got to 83 pgs and had to quit. So much of those pages was taken up by who was related to whom and how and why that I totally lost track and then lost interest. I should have known it would likely be that way. There was a complex genealogical chart at the beginning of the book. Never a good sign. Sorry to give this one up but I just couldn’t soldier on any further!
I had read this book in print, but Jance is such a great writer, that I don’t mind going back to visit “old friends.”
Like all of the J.A. Jance books Remains of Innocence is a great read. I hope Ms Jance keeps on producing her intriguing stories
Love Sheriff Brady and the characters of the stories. I have read the series and feel like I I know the characters and location of the stories personally..
This series of books I find very entertaining. I have read 4 of them now on my Kindle but the pricing is out of line. It costs more, Substantially more, to purchase a Kindle edition than it does for other editions.
If I read the remainder it will be due to a sale or price adjustment by the seller. Otherwise I am done with this author’s series.
Love everything she writes
I have read this whole series around 15 books, unfortunately, I think it has now ended. I miss the characters. they were very good.
I always enjoy Jane’s books good stories, keep you involved from beginning to end.
Love Jance
You can never go wrong with a J.A. Jance book. Many written in an Arizona setting. Either Bisbee or Sedona and some written in Seattle. All wonderful. You get to know the characters and look forward to each new book.
Jance is an excellent writer and I’d buy every book she writes if I had all the time in the world for reading.
J.A. Jance one of the best entertaining authors. all her books she writes about the area the characters live and if you have been there you know right where she is talking about. Great twist on the ends of her books. I just see her name and i buy the book.
I love all the j a jance books! They keep your attention with great characters and
melding the familiar with the future gives plausibility to the stories. Read them all!
New J. A. Jance books always go to the top of my reading pile.
Interesting plot development where two seemingly unrelated incidents, a quarter of a century apart, come crashing together. Even Sheriff Brady did not see this one coming. Complete with an arrogant newly hired ME, an unwilling partner in the Treasury Department, and a couple of FBI Agents with attitude and a big secret. Love the smell of Coffee.
