The long-awaited finale to Marie’s beloved Treading Water Series is HERE at last! Maggie Harrington is in way, way over her head, running Matthews House, the shelter her famous sister Kate and brother-in-law Reid have opened, using Reid’s family estate to provide support to women and children in crisis. This job is just what Maggie needed after a disastrous episode in New York—or so she thought. … disastrous episode in New York—or so she thought. The constant life-or-death challenges she encounters have her emotions on a rollercoaster of soaring highs and crushing lows. Living near her sisters Kate and Jill and regular rides on Kate’s beloved horse, Thunder, are the best parts of her new life.
When Maggie hires Brayden Thomas to run an equine therapy program for the resident children, she does so knowing he’s hiding something from his past. But his sterling professional reputation and qualifications have her taking a chance on the handsome horse whisperer, who quickly becomes a friend and confidant. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also smoking hot, funny, easy to talk to and damned good at his job.
It’s her first time being “the boss.” Surely she ought to maintain some semblance of professionalism when it comes to Brayden, right? But day by day, hour by hour, he makes himself essential to her and has her teetering on the fine line between personal and professional as her feelings for him intensify.
The Harrington girls are together again in Nashville! Come along for a visit that’ll include the arrival of Kate’s baby, Jill’s wedding to Ashton and Eric Harrington’s high school graduation. Jack, Andi, Clare, Aidan, Jamie, Frannie and the O’Malley family also appear in the Treading Water Series finale!

The long-awaited cherry on top of the Treading Water series! Finding Forever can be read as a standalone though – so don’t fear jumping into this heartwarming and wonderful story!
HOLY MOLY!!! What an AMAZING, AMAZING book! I have been so looking forward to this book when Marie told us that it would be coming this year. I got behind on books and I knew I wanted to re-read the whole series before I allowed myself to read Maggie’s book but boy oh boy was it all worth the wait.
I have loved watching Maggie grow up in this series and it was so wonderful to see her find not only love but her calling. I loved Brayden from the beginning and was drawn to him just like Maggie. I love watching them get to know each other and confide their pasts and follow the amazing connection they had. They were so perfect for each other. I loved when Jack took Brayden out to have the talk.
What a joy it also was to hear more from Kate and Reid, as well as Jill and Ashton. Then of course the updates on Jack and Andi, Claire and Aidan and all the kids were so great. I absolutely LOVED the epilogue and getting to see all of that thru Jack’s eyes and see the book end where it all began. Absolutely AMAZING ENDING to an AMAZING series!! I’m so sad to see it end.
Marie – you did a phenomenal job, absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for introducing us to this amazing family and allowing us to see all of the Harrington girls get their happily ever after. If you ever decide to give us a little more of this amazing gang, I can guarantee you every single reader of yours would be over the moon! *hint hint*
I love all her books.
another awesome series comes to an end and Marie Force did not disappoint. Been waiting waiting a long time for Maggie’s story and once I started reading I couldn’t stop. loved this so much. this series is highly recommended as is all of Marie Forces series and stand alones
4.5 Stars
Like many others, I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Finding Forever! But I think it’s because I love Marie Force’s Treading Water series so much that I needed to have Maggie find her happily ever after. And Maggie did find that- with Brayden, a horse whisperer who comes to work for her at Matthews House.
It was so great to catch up with all of the members of the Harrington family and the extended brood!
The final chapter of the Harrington clan is heartwarming and an emotional rollercoaster ride. It lived up to every one of my expectations. The extended Harrington family is on hand to celebrate their highs; births, marriages and engagements. They also offer support when someone experiences the sadder, despairing side of life. They pull together as a unit and surround one another with love. I admit to having several teary moments as I read.
Maggie Harrington finally finds love and it’s joyous. Settling in as the director of Matthews House gives Maggie a true sense of fulfillment but dealing with the tragedies that her clients encounter can be draining both emotionally and mentally. When Brayden Thomas shows up to start running Maggie’s pet horse therapy project he instantaneously captures her attention. Brayden just seems to “get her” and Maggie finds herself opening up to an almost complete stranger. For his part, Brayden feels the attraction too. Can someone fall in love after only knowing the other person only a handful of days? Evidently, the answer is yes.Now all Brayden and Maggie have to do is admit their feelings.
At long last, Marie Force succumbs to reader pressure and brings back the Harringtons with Maggie’s story.
Forever changed by witnessing her mother’s accident and the upheaval it caused, Maggie puts her big heart to use by helping others. Not only does it move her closer to her sisters again, but allows her to meet her one true love. Brayden Thomas is a southern gentleman. He loves his horse and his job, but is a little bit broken. Hiding from a past that forever changed him may be his undoing.
This was a great story and brought back all the love of the very extended Harrington family.
Marie Force says this is really it for this series. But wouldn’t a book about Eric’s adventures with the Peace Corps be amazing?
Just perfect!
Another great Marie Force book.
Thank you Marie for finally writing Maggie’s story. It was the perfect story to end this fabulous series!!
This is the long awaited final book to the Treading Water series. I always hoped Maggie would get a book as I wasn’t quite ready to leave the TW world. Definitely did not disappoint as Ms Force once again writes an epic story. Couldn’t put it down and will reread over and over!

This book gives a satisfying conclusion to the treading waters series .
Marie Force mentions this is the finale for her Treading Water series. She has said that before as well so we can hope…
For now this is the end story for the Harrington/O Malley family or I should say daughters. Jack and Claire’s youngest daughter Maggie has decided to run the new Matthews House, a shelter for woman and children. She decides this after having a similar situation happen to her in New York. She tells no one and does not report the assault she just head to Tennessee to spend the holiday with family and stays there to run this house.
One of the programs she wants is Equine Therapy and when she finds the perfect man to help her run this program she hesitates since he has a juvenile record, and he will not share what it is. Seeing that he has a spotless record for the last 12 years she goes ahead and hires him.
Will Brayden be just what Maggie needs not only for the program and kids, but what about for her? Can he help her get through what has happened to her and make peace with it?
We get to see weddings, births, horses, love and FAMILY!
