Baby, it’s cold out.Nine months ago, I hooked up with the funniest, hottest, most amazing woman. It was supposed to be a vacation fling. She’d broken up with her ex.I don’t do commitment.I was totally cool with “what happens in the skiing lodge, stays in the skiing lodge.”And damn, did a lot happen. All over the place. In all kinds of positions.Over and over again.I was stupid to agree to her rules.… of positions.
Over and over again.
I was stupid to agree to her rules.
Stupid to let her go.
Then I see her walking down the fairy-lit street, a couple of weeks before Christmas.
Our eyes meet and the chemistry is still hot enough to melt snow. She’s even more gorgeous than I remember.
She’s radiant.
I’ve got a bulge bigger than Santa’s package, and all I want for Christmas this year…
Is her.
I’m not letting her go again.
So what if she doesn’t believe in love?
So what if I’ve never “done” commitment. One look into those big blue eyes and I know she wants me too.
We end up in the ER on Christmas Eve along with a few dozen drunks. But I’m sober as a judge when the doctor tells me, “She’s in labor.”
***This twist on the Secret Baby trope is an emotionally sweet, occasionally steamy debut novel with no cliffhangers, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!***

Great book!
Pip and Aideen agree to a one week vacation fling with no personal details allowed and a promise to let it go when the time is over. So what happens when 9 months later a chance encounter finds them once again face to face? This sweet insta-love fling leaves readers banging their heads at the stubborness at the lovers only to cheer when they re-unite. The book is a roller coaster ride of emotions as the characters attempt to figure out what they want. I enjoyed the the sweet heat in this book and the journey the author led us on. Readers will enjoy Pip and Aideen’s story as they face old hurts and try to overcome them to find their HEA.
3.5 ’s.
This December, more than any other, I have been needing fun, light and a totally sweet romantic stories. With getting ready for the festive season, I don’t want to read anything too deep or angsty and this book fit the bill. I was a little concerned with the whole surprise pregnancy but I felt it was done very well. It seems a little far fetched, but when you do some research, it actually is more common than you think. I enjoyed reading about all the characters and our leads were delightful. Pippa and Aiden have fate on their side twice to help them start their relationship but trust and understanding will be needed to cement their union.
Well worth the read.
This is the second book I have read by Harmony Knight and I will definitely be adding her to my list of regular authors. This story is fresh and heartwarming while hot and passionate, too.
There where so links between the characters that made the story more interesting, but really, the fact that Pippa and Aiden clicked so perfectly when they first met, drove the story. The drama that takes place in the story is not the manufactured “does he like me” kind of drama. It’s everyday life drama that keeps you reading until the end.
This book takes place during a short time in March and around Christmas in December making it a quick holiday read.
I liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. The characters were interesting and likable. Valerie was a wonderful friend to Pippa. They had a great relationship that was almost like sisters. Aiden and Pippa had a steamy vacation fling that was supposed to be a one and done. At the end of their time together, neither of them wanted it to end but they both chose to not speak up. Nine months later they see each other again. Both of them are in for a Christmas surprise. I had some issues with the story. It was difficult for me to suspend belief and go along with the story until I did some searching and found out that it was possible. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this story. I also recommend listening to the audiobook as that was good too. I liked the narrator. I prefer when the story is told from a dual POV that there is a male and female narrator. It was good as is, but with the addition of a female narrator, it would have been great!
Audiobook Review: While it would have been nice to have a female narrate for Pippa, it was still enjoyable. I just had to stop and think about which character was in the first person sometimes. The story is funny, sweet, and steamy with a definite surprise in store.
Pippa and her friend Valerie were supposed to go on vacation together but Valerie’s boss called her back to work for an important case. Now Pippa is there alone and she meets Aiden and it is an instant attraction between the two. They have a week-long fling and they decide no other information was to be given but their first names. It has been about 8 months since Pippa left Aiden and as she is walking home one day from work, she sees him in a restaurant with a woman. Aiden looks up and he thinks he sees Pippa and he runs out of the restaurant after her. When he catches up to her, she asks him “what was he doing in New York?” He tells her that he now lives there. He asks her the same question and her answer is that she lives there. They start seeing one another and their feelings grow stronger for each other. They are out to buy Aiden a Christmas tree when all of a sudden Pippa goes down on her knees in pain, Aiden asks what is wrong and she tells him she doesn’t know. He tells her he is taking her to the hospital. When they get to the hospital and they are in an exam room, Pippa’s friend Valerie shows up and that is when Aiden and Valerie meet as Pipp’s friend and boyfriend. Valerie has been working with Aiden since he moved to New York. Aiden is upset due to they have been waiting for over an hour and a doctor still has not come in to check on Pippa, so he goes out to get one. When he comes back with the doctor, the doctor tells him and Valerie they have to leave the room while Pippa is examed. The doctor checks Pippa and then tells her that she needs to go get a machine and another doctor. The machine she comes back with is an ultrasound machine. After the doctor checks Pippa with the ultrasound, she tells her that she is pregnant and in labor. Pippa is shocked. The doctor asks if Pippa wanted to tell her friends or if Pippa wanted the doctor to tell them. Pippa has the doctor tell them. When the doctor tells Valerie and Aiden the news and tells them only one of them can be with Pippa until she is settled upstairs Aiden can move so Valerie goes with Pippa. When Aiden is able to move again he goes back to the exam room Pippa was in but she is gone, he asks where she is and is told she has been moved upstairs. he goes upstairs but is told that he can’t go in to see Pippa and he gets upset and gets thrown out of the hospital for 24 hrs. Pippa is thinking that since Aiden is not there that he has left her and she gets mad.
Will Aiden get to be with Pippa when she gives birth to his child or will he miss it? Can he explain to her why he was not there at first?
Can Pippa forgive Aiden for leaving her when she needed him or will she stay mad at him?
This was a well-written story and I enjoyed it very much, it will have you laughing in some places and crying in others.
I would recommend this audible book to anyone.
I received an ARC of this audible in exchange for my voluntarily and honest review.
I thought this was going to be the typical affair that results in a surprise baby for the father. Instead the baby is a surprise to both the father and the mother. So it is an original twist. I got this book through storyorgin and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This was charming. A very light hearted romance perfect for keeping spirits bright. I received a free review copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.
He had a fling with a girl who had just token up with her boyfriend. He still thinks about her even though he does not believe in commitment. Then he sees her again months later and one look into her eyes, well he knows what her wants for Christmas, her. He doesn’t care that she doesn’t believe in love or his commitment issues, all he knows is that he has to have her. Only this time he doesn’t intend to let her go. On Christmas Eve they end up in the ER and boy does he have a surprise coming.
This is wonderful hot contemporary romance that leaves you feeling good. The characters are likeable and you can’t help but be pulled into their story looking for that happy ending. The writing is good and the storyline flows nicely. The drama is created by their past fears and experiences and they both have to come to terms with their inner struggles before they can truly find happiness. This is a great contemporary romance worth reading.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was an enjoyable quick read that flowed along at a good pace, keeping the reader engaged and invested. Pippa and Aiden had a one week fling at a ski resort. The one concession? One week, no phone numbers, no questions and no plans for the future. Pippa has barely left the resort when Aiden realizes that was the biggest mistake he ever made. When a chance sighting leads Aiden back to Pippa, he knows it is fate. But Pippa hasn’t been feeling well and this leads Aiden to have flashbacks to a previous relationship. Pippa is strong, sassy and fiercely independent and Aiden is just the right amount of hot hunk, domineering and authoritative to make Pippa melt. Great fun.
This was a solid debut for a new author. I appreciated the unique spin on the secret baby trope. The characters are lovable and I really appreciated that they were not perfect. They have an insta- love that is impressive. There is a strong cast of secondary characters that I loved as a reader, knowing both Aiden and Pippa have supportive friends. Aiden is a swooney nerd hero with a huge heart that you just have to love. Pippa is the free-spirited heroine who needs to believe that someone like Aiden can love her.
The book was well written and the story was solid. I look forward to more books by this author.
