WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! NEVER TOO LATE by Pamela Towns was Phenomenal!! Plus she is a New Author for me and she Blew Me Away with this Book! It was Such an Emotional Rollercoaster Ride of Epic Proportions and I Could NOT Put It Down!!
I’m Not going to Spoil it for you but there is mystery, Family Drama, infidelity and betrayal plus humorous moments with characters that will touch your heart.
Never Too Late is Beautifully Written and definitely a MUST READ BOOK!!
Never Too Late by Pamela Towns
This book will take you on an emotional journey and you will deal with family, baby mama’s, betrayal, infidelity, death, mystery voice, marriage on the rocks. The book is written with alternating chapters from Brenda and Gail, who are cousins. I feel like the main character in the book is Brenda, and she allows almost everyone to run over her. She just recently had a baby, and her step-mom doesn’t come visit. I hated the way she let Shana, her step-mom treat her. Then there’s the husband who won’t stand up for Brenda to his kids mom, Julie – who treats Brenda awful, and has her kids do the same. Gail on the other hand is strong and outspoken, maybe too much at times. There are tons of supporting characters here, and it sometimes gets a little confusing. I liked how this book seems like real life to me. It shows how sometimes a tragedy is needed to make things get back to normal.
Five stars for this amazing novel by author Pamela Towns. During her pregnancy, Brenda finds evidence of her husband cheating on her. From that moment, a spiral of revelations, secrets, and misunderstandings starts, until Brenda discovers who her husband’s lover is (no spoilers, lol)
This books portraits three strong women, Brenda, her cousin Gail, and Brenda’s stepmother Shana. It’s an emotional roller coaster with a few funny moments and characters that will touch your heart. The writing is just beautiful.
Good read. Lots of family drama but I still enjoyed the story. First read by this author and liked the writing style.
This was a fantastic book! I will definitely be reading more from Ms. Towns!
Such a great book absolutely loved it
This book was good. I loved the story. There were many characters introduced in this book and at times I found myself a bit confused as to who was who. Brenda and David went through so much in this book, it felt a bit overwhelming at times. Add in Brenda’s shaky relationship with her stepmother, Shana and her cousin and you get a whole lot of family drama.
This was my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. What an emotional read this was fir me, but depicts real life scenarios that occurs in families. I was honestly captivated from beginning to end and I could not put this book down. Fantastic book and highly recommended.
There is plenty to sink your teeth into here in this book. Drama, betrayal, family and step-family real life issues, step-children, baby mamas… You name it, it’s there. I felt for the main character, Brenda, but there were times I wanted to slap her stupid with her wishy-washy ways and complete lack of backbone. Her husband is no better, and her cousin, Gail, could probably cut glass with her attitude.
I’m giving this book 3.5 stars.
I liked the story line. It was nice to read about a mature couple having their own issues. I enjoyed the characters, but felt they were missing something
Family Insaneness at the best! This is an emotional roller coaster ride that these characters go through. And it will pull the emotional card.
Brenda is close to delivering her baby and cleaning everything like crazy when she finds an old videotape with her husband and some woman’s voice on it. This obsession with finding out the story without asking David her husband has her acting completely out of character and her cousin Gina tells her not to wreck her marriage over it. Brenda has a stepmother who could care less about her then she has to deal with her husband’s kids with Julie his ex girlfriend who are monsters, I am not surprised that she doesn’t run away. I really enjoyed this because it makes you realize that what you and others see are not necessarily real life.
This book was alittle hard to follow. Brenda learns that family can betray family. She becomes stonger from it.
This was an ok read. There is betrayal, infidelity and drama. I couldn’t really get into the book. The characters were ok. The story line was ok. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.
I struggled to finish Never Too Late. I just never felt a connection to the characters or the story. I kept reading because of the positive reviews but just never clicked. Since most of the reviews are positive please don’t let me stop you from giving this author a try.
There were some positives, the book was well edited and I didn’t notice a lot of errors. There was some mystery to the story with the tape that surfaced.
