Rory Hightower had a good life. She had a loving family, great friends, and a job she adored, running Hope Valley’s local watering hole, The Tap Room. But there was just one thing missing. Ever since she was a little girl she knew there was one special guy out there just for her. Her dream man. And when Cord walked into her bar, she knew instantly it was him. Which made losing him all the more … painful.
Cord Paulson had only ever had one person he could depend on. And that bond ran deep. But when he moved to Hope Valley and met the breathtaking bartender with the bright blue eyes and stunning smile, he felt an instant connection. He wanted Rory from the moment he laid eyes on her. But when his past came back and his loyalties were put to the test, he made the biggest mistake of his life.
Then one night changes everything. After avoiding him for months, Rory has no choice but to lower her guard and let him back in. And Cord plans to use that to his full advantage. He’s determined to repair the damage he caused to her heart and win her back. He may have lost the love of his life once already, but there’s no way he’ll make the same mistake twice.

What can I say about the Hope Valley series by Jessica Prince and Stay With Me book 5 in the series other than each one keeps getting better and better. I think for those who have been engulfed in this series since the beginning to say that we have been waiting for Cord and Rory’s book would be an understatement. I know I feel in love with Cord in book 1 and Rory has been a spitfire for just as long. Now we get their friends to enemies to lovers romance and it was so worth the wait.
Told in dual POVs we get to see the full story starting with Cord and Rory’s friendship and why it had to end. The best part for me is the road back to each that the way Ms Prince tells it is full of emotion and heartache. What ultimately brings them together is a 12 year boy who flips their lives upside down. We get to see some of our old friends which is great as well but Stay With Me is definitely Cord and Rory’s book.
All in all what a great journey Stay With Me is, so worth the time.
Stay With Me is the fifth book in the Hope Valley series.
I was a little anxious to read this one because I desperately wanted Rory’s and Cord’s story to be perfect. This is my favorite book in the series so far, so I had no reason to worry.
I genuinely loved Cord! He’s protective and sweet and such a loyal and great guy. Cord made a huge mistake a couple of years earlier, but he had no problem calling himself out and owning up to it. He apologized and began the work needed to make things right and get his girl.
Rory is a wonderful leading lady. She’s gorgeous and confident and loves something fierce. Although Rory made Cord work for it, there was a point she finally stopped fighting and gave him the second chance they both wanted and deserved.
Zach stole the show. That sweet, amazing young man. There are truly some terrible people in this world and it breaks my heart that most don’t get the happy ending Zach did.
Xander is up next and I’m excited to meet the woman who will bring that beast of a man to his knees.
Finally Cord and Rory’s story! If you have read the previous 4 books in the Hope Valley Series, you’ve met them both. In each of the previous books, the women have all wanted to step in and get these two together. It. Is. Finally. Time. Ladies!!!
I adore these two! Rory for her feisty and badass attitude. Cord for his determination to right the wrongs and his adoration of Rory. The first half of the story is about their journey to fix their past. They both fought, for forgiveness and for each other. The chemistry between these two is off the charts!
We are also introduced to 12-year-old Zach, who becomes Rory’s foster child. You love Rory even more as she fights to give Zach everything he as never had.
The books in this series do not disappoint. I am ready to move to Hope Valley!
Rory Hightower has been in love with Cord Paulson since the first day he walked into her bar. She thought perhaps he might be interested in her as well but he didn’t share the same feelings. Rory just wanted Cord in her life and he became her best friend, until his girlfriend put a stop to that and he pushed her away. Cord ended up hurt and his girlfriend walked out leaving him alone but Rory sat by his side until he woke up and then in one moment he crushed her heart again. Enough was enough and Rory has decided to move on.
Cord was trying to do the right thing, he bumbled it at every turn. Now that he has had a huge wake up call he knows the only one he wants in his life is Rory, he loves her more then anything but Rory is not willing to give him a second chance. Cord knows he needs to earn her trust again and he is getting it but what happens when his past comes back again?
This is everything I hoped their story would be. Rory’s family is a hilarious and the story unfolds in an unexpected way. I thought this was a refreshing second chance story that makes you laugh, cry, and cheer.
