Ladies’ man Anton Romero is smitten with Vivian Wentworth from the very beginning. Her beauty captures his interest, but knowing that she’s lying to him makes him want to know why she acts so charming. But when he learns that she thinks he’s a spy, he knows he can’t hold his secrets any longer.Innocent and somewhat naïve, Vivian wants to prove to her boss that she deserves a promotion from … from working in the office to actually becoming a field agent. She’s determined to catch a spy—even if he’s charming and extremely handsome. She’s convinced that Anton is her man, but now she has to catch him in the act. But her over-zealous determination puts both of them in danger and he is forced to play the honorable rogue.
Sweeping her away to Padre Island off the coast of Spain seemed like a clever idea at the time. But how can he protect them both from his uncle’s murderous games when Anton’s heart falls victim to a woman as full of independence as she is desirable?

Hunted takes you on a never ending adventure. Vivian works for Craven Investigation Agency. She knows the information that Juanito gave to Mr. Craven claiming to be the uncle of Anton. He is accusing Anton of being a spy from Spain so he is hiring the agency to find him. Vivian wants to be a field agent which is not allowed for women so she goes behind Mr. Craven’s back to prove she would make a good agent. And her partner in crime for the party she is going to crash was Margaret. Margaret is not as daring a character as Vivian but there is some really funny situations that is written for her. Anton is full of himself by the way he is talking and touching Vivian after just meeting her. And his thought that “no other woman had posed such a challenge for him” as Vivian was not giving into his attempt of seduction I thought was taking him down a notch, which is funny. Vivian is whisked away by Anton from the party and before she knows what’s happening to her they are on a ship going to Spain. They was not running away from trouble, they actually ran straight into it. This is a love story that does take time to happen if only they are able to stay alive.
Ms. Higgins never ceases to disappoint me with her stories. This one has all that you need in a book. I love reading her works. I received a free copy. This is my voluntary review.
Another fun suspenseful romance from Ms. Higgins. Vivian and Anton have instant chemistry. They are really very sweet together and have some passionate moments, although this is still a clean story, just passionate kisses. The danger in this story keeps you in suspense throughout the book. It was well done and fast paced.
Anton is a singer in a show and he noticed that a young lady visit this show every night. Vivian enjoyed seeing Anton in the show every time but she has a hidden agenda. When they finally meet their attraction is great but then there’re the secrets. Can they trust each other, with their secrets and life?
This is an action packed story that will keep you reading till the end. Great story building, must read!
Twists, turns, laughs, secrets, danger, adventure and sweet romance. Wonderful read!
In Lawfully Hunted, Vivian is determined to prove herself as a detective. But the man she seeks is being sought by someone who wants him dead. This well written story turns into a grand adventure. (It rather reminds me of an Indiana Jones story.) There is a lot of action and adventure in this enjoyable clean romance.
It takes Vivian and Anton a while to realize they do better working together. Marie Higgins has given us two strong characters who are unable to trust the other. I enjoyed this book and watching Vivian try to prove she should be an agent while chasing down an innocent suspect. This book was both exciting and fun to read.

What happens when a secretary wants to become a field agent and help catch a spy? She almost gets caught sneaking into a party at the suspects house! Opera singer and handsome Spaniard Anton Romero has seen Vivian Wentworth attending the opera for several nights on her own and had heard she had been backstage asking a lot of questions about him.
When he gets her alone he only has romance on his mind and seduction for the beautiful Vivian. But she wants to catch him in the act of spying. But what would that entail?
A delightful story that has a little of everything. Mystery, humor, romance and danger abound in this exciting addition to the Lawkeepers series and Marie Higgins knows just how to weave an irresistable tale!!
