Slaying in Salem is Book #2 in the Capital City Murders series.Taking a roundabout way from Olympia, Washington, to Salem, Oregon, took much longer than freelance photographer Nick O’Flannigan anticipated. As he arrives in Salem, he discovers there has been a murder, this time at the Oregon State Hospital. He notices something odd about the suspect the police have in custody. They have the wrong … in custody. They have the wrong guy.
But how can he, a freelance photographer, convince them and still do his job? His camera and his friendship with a local journalist will both help, but this time they may not be enough. Will he help solve the case or will his interference let the bad guy get away clean? You won’t be able to stop reading until the very last page.
p.s. This is a great two-hour read.

Pick this up, you won’t be sorry! I received a complimentary ARC.
Slaying in Salem: Capital City Murders Book #2, my third read from author Troy Lambert. After reading Silenced in Salt Lake: Capital City Murders Book #11, my first (short) read from author Troy Lambert, I wanted to read more in the series and so bought this Audible edition at an affordable price. The book caught my attention in the opening pages & I never put it down until completed. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. Nick O’Flannigan is a freelance photographer traveling to all 50 state capitals to take pics for a travel magazine. In this book he is in Salem, Oregon! As he enters Salem there is a new bulletin about a murder by stabbing in an old mental hospital! When he discovers his old college friend is the reporter on the story his curiosity gets the best of him. This book has a great main character in Nick! The plot is an intriguing one! I love how Nick just happens to fall into a murder mystery in every town he visits! His keen eye for details always help him see what others don’t notice. I really loved this one taking place in an old mental hospital! It adds to the creepy and mystery factor. Each book is unique and gets better and better with each city visited. I’m looking forward to reading the next book!
