The Story: Nora finds herself the leader of the Hank Miller’s Nephilim army. The oath she took will kill her if she is overthrown by the Nephilim, which they will if they find out she is dating a fallen angel.
This book took some twists and turns that I didn’t expect and didn’t really like as they happened. Nora and Patch seemed really disconnected in this book, which made sense since they were working on different things and couldn’t be seen together. Though Nora goes down a path that surprised me and I couldn’t predict anything in this book.
The narration was done by Caitlin Greer like all of the previous books, though I do wish it was dual narration. I like it better when there is both a male and female narrator even if the book is told all in Nora’s point of view.
I liked that the war turned into a battle between good and evil and Nora came into her own and became the Hero of her own story. It was a good ending to the series.
Well, I’m not even sure what to say, exactly. It was OK. Some interesting twists, and an interesting finale. I still wasn’t heavily invested in the characters and some parts aggravated me.
Thus book was an awesome book. It is the last book in the hush hush saga. Nora and Patch were like a fairytale like the selection series. They hated each other in the beginning and then their bond grew stronger in the first book and throughout the series and in the end of this book they get married. Aww
Ah the conclusion…It wasn’t what I expected. Who to trust, who to turn to, who to watch closely! I was saddened extremely by the loss of one I’d come to hold dear. I was shocked immensely to learn the secret that Vee had been keeping. Most of all I was happy with the way things worked out though. Nora finally came clean about her mistakes, and that made things so much better from there on out. Marcie had ups and downs for me in this book…one minute I was thinking she wasn’t so bad and the next I’d be back to hating her. It was a complicated story, but I think the author did well tying the series up.
