Hardly Easy
Written in a humorous and totally upbeat way, this romance starts off running with the mysterious Will being mistaken for an escort to sweet and adorable Sadie. Sadie is definitely out of her comfort zone after flying across the country to the UK, semi stalking Julian who she met at an airport over a month ago. After spending ten hours in Julian’s suave company with him professing his building feelings for her “if only they didn’t live in different countries” she could be “the one” line, she was on the brink of seeing him again.
Enter Will and the mistaken identity. No doubt Will is a handsome unscrupulous player out for an opportunistic good time, yet things get real quite quickly.
Ha! I Loved the tongue in cheek banter that goes on in Will’s head and with Sadie! He really is an opportunist as he readily steps into the roll of “paid escort” when Sadie answers her door.
Great writing and fast paced enough to keep this a page turner from start to finish. Upbeat and humorous with very adult themes and dialogue. Sadie is thoroughly likeable and I was rooting for her HEA from the very start!
Witty banter abounds with Sadie giving as good as she gets.
Their chemistry is off the charts and the steamy graphic scenes sizzled the virtual pages off of my e-reader !
Very sexy and romantic story between an English Lord and an American grade school teacher.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.
Glad we got to see more of Sadie and Will! Will is still just as hilarious as ever as he and Sadie are preparing for their wedding, and while he’s plenty ridiculously funny, he also manages to be swoon-worthy romantic.
As a huge fan of superbly crafted romance books, I am no stranger to Ms. Donna Alam and her wonderful releases. Should you not be familiar with her work, why not start with this terrific collection of deliciousness? Inside this impressive collection, you will discover five wonderfully written storylines that come complete with the perfect characters to match. Box set includes; Easy, Hard, Coming Home, Hardly Easy and Twice The Fun. These books are incredibly crafted.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader’s copy of this collection in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading these books as well as anything written by Ms. Alam.
Trust that your satisfaction is guaranteed.
I found this set of books to be very entertaining
and a fun sexy read.
The storyline in each book hold my attention right throughout.
The characters are well developed and had great chemistry.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Bad Boy Update.
Nothing beats a boxset of bantering Scots men. Ms Alam does a fantastic job creating memorable characters, hilarious scenes, tender moments, and hot times with her couples. Her books keep me glued to the pages and entertained for hours.
EASY
I have loved the cheeky banter of Ms Alam’s Scottish men, and Will’s light-hearted talk is pure foreplay. He teases and pranks the delightful Sadie, who is as intrigued by him as she is irritated. They have a hilarious start together and I couldn’t stop grinning at Will’s antics. Will wisely intervenes to keep Sadie’s crush Julian away from her; to protect her from Julian means possibly losing Sadie himself. There are some really hot scenes in here, fun characters, and there are a few characters from previous Scots books that are making cameo appearances (yes, even my favourite, June!). This was a fun, easy read, a must read especially if you’re a fan of the Scots books.
HARD
There’s something about these strong, filthy talking Scottish men and their witty banter that I absolutely adore. I love Ms Alam’s story of the American Paisley, makeup artist for a woman-centred porn company and Keir, wealthy single dad. Paisley has been badly burned by her now ex-fiancé, and Keir has an nasty ex-wife who makes the occasional appearance. Given their histories, neither one is anxious for a relationship. It’s a sexy, fun journey for these two, and Keir melted my heart (so did his very precocious daughter). Return visits from your favourite Scots, and great secondary characters. Really enjoyed this fun read.
HARDLY EASY
This starts with the wedding day for Will, aka Lord Pussy, and Sadie. Paisley & Keir feature, too, as the couple family issues in common. This novella is the perfect complement to Hard and Easy.
Lots to celebrate in this wee story.
Don’t you love it when an author gives you just that little bit more of the characters you absolutely love?
Well in this fun heart warming novella, my beloved Lord Pussy finally takes his Lady; and in more ways than one!
Because Donna Alam has finally given Will Travers from Easy, aka the very naughty, one and only, Dr Pussy his very own perfect happily ever after, complete with a splash of angst, gasp of drama, and a very generous helping of sizzling hot action between the sheets and anywhere else he so pleases!
But God forbid these Scots do so without Donna’s signature wit and hilarity, and some heart stopping moments that will have you turning the pages in what is easily a one-sitting super enjoyable read!
I loved catching up with these guys and touching base with Keir and Paisley from Hard.
It’s like stepping into a warm Scottish pub for a lager with friends!
This addition to the Scots stories is a great follow-on for what has been such a great series and I look forward to diving into the other novellas planned as part of the Box set!
Whoa! Manly Scots, oddly draped kilts, short and long, aiming to please!

Format: Kindle Edition
Author Donna Alam loves her Scottish hotties and their flirts turned to HEAs. I read Hard and Easy, the two full-length romances when they came out and just read Hardly Easy, a novella follow-up that focuses on the same two couples. Haven’t read the other bonus materials but I trust Alam to make them top-notch too.
Hardly Easy
5 stars
I-do’s and steamy shenanigans on the day in a Scottish castle, plus a bit of male bonding over the horrors of childbirth and a lucky escape. I adore Alam’s precocious child characters and there are a few to tickle your funny bone. Hardly Easy is a fun, hot, short read with some wit, humor, feuding and manly morbidity rolled in. A solid addition to the set.
As for the novels, Hard and Easy, here are my thoughts on those:
Easy
5 stars
Alam’s hunky Scots continue to seduce, this time charming a visiting Yank teacher!
Another uber sexy and sometimes humorous romance from an author whose string of novels based on the love lives of a band of strapping, sexy Scots brings major steam to my e-book screen!
Will is a braw and bossy Scot physician who chances upon a visiting American housesitting in a neighbor’s apartment and the seduction and hijinks begin. Sadie, the heroine, is a little naive, a bit disillusioned and reticent about caving to his plans for fear of damaging her heart. Very logical but not a sustainable position as Will works his magic (totally surpassing her expectations, of course!) and then realizes he may have taken on more than he can handle. Will is a sympathetic character who has revelled in easy hook-ups thanks to his looks and his social position. But his player persona masks some major insecurities about his undesirability as a long-term partner. Sadie forces him to decide whether he can accept a personal life built only on the hunt for the next thrill.
I was wondering whether any of the Scots and their mates from her prior novels would appear and was rewarded with visits from Mac, Ella, their kids, Keir, and even a small cameo with matriarch June and her companion Sam.
This story has terrific heat and romance with a good cast of characters, including a heel or two, and a satisfying finish.
Hard
Another sexy Scot bowled over by an American beauty, despite his best intentions!

4.5 stars
Donna Alam has once again penned a sizzling romance, with humor and almost non-stop heat, centered on another sexy Scot! I loved the comedy of errors that brought American singleton Paisley and divorced daddy Keir together. Paisley is trying to get a new start after a bad break-up with her cheating fiance. Keir intends to focus on his daughter Sorcha and avoid romantic entanglements. But things don’t always go as planned . . .
Although I preferred the previous book (Easy, which chronicles the romance of Sadie and Will, one of Keir’s best friends who makes repeated appearances in this story), this is a smart and sexy romp that should please fans of Alam’s other books. It’s fine as a standalone, though it might whet your appetite for her other Scot romances if you are new to her writing. Alam has included a solid cast of secondary characters. I particularly liked Chastity, Paisley’s roommate and boss, Chastity’s irrepressible brother Max, Keir’s precocious daughter Sorcha and his band of Scottish brothers. The bedroom scenes are quite spicy and involve some light BDSM-tinged play, but nothing too hard core.
I read a complimentary advance copy of Hardly Easy; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I didn’t realize how much I had been missing these characters until I came back to visit with them.
Easy
Can we rename this series “Fifty Shades of Scot”? Because, sweet Lord almighty, this takes all the best parts of that series and then makes them better. And I don’t mean simply replacing one bored, kinky, rich man with hot, wealthy, dominant Scotsmen. Though that is one heck of an improvement. And the Right Honourable William Travers adds a different kind of nobility to these noble men. They also have strong, feisty heroines who are just as likely to fight with them as to fight for them. Sadie gives as good as she gets. Their sassy, flirty banter made me snort my coffee many times while reading. She pushes Will out of his comfort zone and inspires him to want to be a better man. Will isn’t the only one outside his zone; he pushes Sadie just as far, just in a very different way. (A way that’s so hot I think circuits in my reader fried during this book.) And through this, they’re surrounded by nosy, well-meaning, off the wall friends – some of whom we’ve already read about – who both help and hinder the growing relationship between Will and Sadie. The café encounter with our favorite Scottish matriarch left me cackling with glee, wondering where she’ll turn up next.
Hard
While trying to explain this book to a friend today, I suggested it’s a little like crossing FSoG with ‘Fawlty Towers’. I then went on to explain: the time spent interacting with the families and friends bears a striking resemblance to the slapstick, yet still quintessentially witty British, antics of the denizens of Fawlty Towers. While the time Keir and Paisley spend focused on one another has a scorch factor that’s more in keeping with FSoG and its cousins. I swear, at some point it’s going to be a Donna Alam book that melts my reader, because these naughty Scots know how to bring the heat. Yet, while being so devastatingly alpha, they also tend to be generous and loving. (See again ‘time spent with friends and family’ above.) The one thing I would have desperately loved more of in this book, would have been to know more about the aftermath of everything that brought Keir and Paisley together, but we might see that in the next book.
Hardly Easy
I got my epilogue, even though this is more Will and Sadie’s story, I still got time with Keir and Paisley too. This may have been a short read, but it has all the drama, angst, silliness, and blazing hot couple time that I’ve come to expect from anything written by Donna Alam. Now I’m craving more Hot Scots again.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
OMG! All the Scots in one place!! I loved each one of the books desperately, but now I can read them again all in one place! They can be read as stand alone’s, but if you read them in order you get to follow characters through each book and get a peek into their lives too. They all have fabulous story lines and characters that get you so invested in them, they are such great books!
