A drop-dead sexy private investigator is about to discover that digging for dirt can expose some seriously naughty little secrets…in this sizzlingly wicked novel from author Rachael Stewart. Being a private investigator means that if there’s dirt, I always find it. Only, right now “work” is sitting across from me–a naughty little princess in London’s most exclusive, extra-posh sex club. … extra-posh sex club. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted–and tried to avoid–for so long, from that haughty, elegant poise to those perfect lips. Only, socialite Coco Lauren isn’t my client. She’s my target.
I’ve been hired by Coco’s brother to find out all of her dirty little secrets. All it takes is one moment of weakness and I’m done for, just so I can hear her moan in my ear, taste her on my lips. She’s already getting under my skin, with her contrast of vulnerable innocent and hidden temptress who’s so ready to talk–and play–dirty.
Now I’m on the wrong side. I’m the bad guy. And every moment we’re tangled up together, things get more complicated. I don’t know where my deception starts and the ruined mess of my heart begins. We’ve gotten good and dirty, but I’m running out of options and time.
How do I tell Coco the truth…especially when coming clean means losing her?

Honestly, this book was one of the best romance book I ever read. Loved the storyline and the intriguing plot about a brother who wanted to take down his own sister. The story was so engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed it from the beginning to the end.
The story focuses on Coco and Ash’s relationship, Coco’s life as an heiress, and Ash’s work as a private investigator. I find the story so enjoyable, and I was so invested in finding out the reason why Philip wanted Ash to spy on Coco. I was like, “why is he so hell-bent on destroying his own sister?” I just don’t get his motive at first. I did have a theory on why, which later on proved to be correct when everything was revealed.
This story is unique in a lot of ways, and it definitely isn’t your typical romance story. Honestly, this is far from contemporary romances which was fine and definitely better. I really loved this type of romance book that has good storyline with an actual plot. This isn’t the type of story you can easily predict, because there are so many direction this story can go for and the ending can be a bit unpredictable. Overall, this is a wonderful story. And I truly loved it.
As for the characters, they are so fun to read and all were written so well. I find it so mesmerizing how the characters in this book are so likable, and all of them have good qualities.
Coco Lauren is the heroine in this story, and she is not your typical heroine. She has a good heart, love to help others, but so hard to figure out. She might look so strong from the outside, but on the inside she was ready to break. I really get her, and I understood her reasoning on why she doesn’t always let people truly know her—the real her. She always guard her heart, and always pretend like she was okay when in fact she wasn’t. Coco is a very relatable person. She always worried about her grandmother and always careful with the moves she made. Being an heiress is a tough job, and I get why she had to put on a tough act. The more I read the story, the more I learn about the true Coco—the side that she doesn’t let anybody see. Honestly, she is a very down-to-earth kind of person, and her character growth in the story was in fact better. She definitely had a great character development, and I find her to be so admirable.
Ash Livingston is near too-perfect, but he does have some flaws too. I loved him, and I’m so in love with his character. He is a very swoon-worthy hero and is just the best. Where can I find a man like Ash who is not only protective but also supportive? Ash literally caught me off guard with his charm, his amazing attitude, and his strong personality. He always supports Coco, and protect her in any way that he can, and he always make sure she is safe from anything or anyone that can tear her down. Ash is an overall a good man, but he just made a bad decision that can jeopardize his relationship with Coco. I admit that he doesn’t always have a good judgment of people, but he learned from his mistake and try to better himself. His character slowly develops in the story, and I liked the development the author gave Ash’s character, it was fitting. I also get to learn a bit more about his past and why he acted a bit cold toward Coco in the beginning of the story. He was hurt before and he couldn’t risk feeling that way again, but I’m glad he slowly opens up about his past and try to move on and see things in a different perspective. Ash is a wonderful hero in the story, and I can’t help but keep falling for him every time he did something that made me swoon.
Coco and Ash’s relationship was very sweet, and so romantic. But their bond was tested once Ash’s secret came out which is to be expected. I did see it coming, hence the reason why I was afraid and nervous the whole time because of how Coco will react to his deception. I get why he kept his secret for so long from her, but still, he should’ve been honest with her.
Their relationship for the most part was smooth and steady, and their romance was wonderful. Both of them were trying not to fall in love with each other because of their past experience, and how they couldn’t risk getting their heart broken again. Coco was afraid Ash use her for her title or her money, and Ash was afraid history will repeat itself if he fall for a woman like Coco after what happened to him in his previous relationship. It was complicated for them to handle their feelings, but they can’t deny the fact that they already started falling for each other.
I love the whole process of their relationship, and how they take it slow—not too slow, but still slow. Coco and Ash are so compatible together, they are the perfect fit for one another in so many ways. The more time they spend together, the more their characters grow, and the more their relationship develop into something much better. It was hard for them to let each other in, but they were trying. Their effort to make things between them happen for real doesn’t go to waste. Truthfully, their romance was so steamy and so beautiful. It was amazing to witness how everything works out for them.
The ending of this book was wonderful. It has a very beautiful ending, and I loved how everything with Philip, Coco, and Ash was sorted out. Also I was glad to know things are going well with Philip and Coco, and their little conversation at the end was so touching. I was happy to know Philip realizing how wrong he was for targeting Coco in the first place. Everything wraps up pretty great. Ash and Coco finally get the happiness they wanted. It was a very delightful story, and can be enjoy by many. This book left me feeling so satisfied and I had a huge smile on my face after finishing it.
Getting dirty by Rachael Stewart.
A brilliant read. I loved Ash and Coco. Great story. I loved the ending too. 5*.
Rachael has lots of steam in this romance to warm you up on a cold night!
I loved this story about Ash, a private investigator who always finishes his case until Coco. Coco’s brother hires him to find the dirty on her, and it all seemed easy until he got to know her. Will starting as they did, put Ash in a bad light? Will Coco’s family dynamics play a role as well? It’s all to enticing to guess how it will all end! Loved the ending especially!
This book was well written with characters that grabbed and held my attention throughout the pages you could feel their connection. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout the pages.

Well this book lives up to it’s name because it does get dirty. Ash gets hired to investigate Coco who is a heiress by her brother. Ash is actually a good guy and when he realizes that Coco is a good person things change and he wants to help her. This is a well written book and interesting characters and the plot will keep you guessing as to what will happen next. Ash and Coco has some hot chemistry and was happy they found each other.
GETTING DIRTY by Rachael Stewart is a fast paced story of forbidden delight! The characters are quick to connect and steam up the story with their instant attraction. I thoroughly enjoyed their connection and watching them fall for each other. I felt the ending lacked a little information, but overall I liked Coco and Ash a lot.
Ash is serious about his job and seems like a down-to-earth guy, but it doesn’t take long for his job to slip to the wayside when he gets to know the real Coco and fall for her. I liked him a lot even though he kept his secret too long.
Coco is easy to like. She’s going through an emotional turmoil and even though she’s painted as childish and wild, she actually has a heart of gold and I enjoyed getting to know her.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a heartfelt story with a lot of steamy goodness mixed in.
Phew! I am still burning up from this. The chemistry between Ash and Coco is explosive and I could feel the tension coming off my screen while reading. This is a dirty little book with mystery and suspense that also kept me on edge. I want more!
The power of love:
This was a steamy romance with a touch of intrigue. It took me a little bit to connect with characters but I soon came to really care for them. Outwardly Coco was a rich, carefree socialite but on the inside she was compassionate and tender. Things were complicated by the fact that Ash was a PI paid to investigate her. He was torn up about deceiving her yet at the same time couldn’t deny their intense attraction and the feelings he came to have for her.
I found it a bit of a disconnect as it was supposed to be set in England but the way the characters spoke was totally American with a few British words thrown in for good measure. I felt it could also have benefited from some place and scenery descriptions to help anchor the story. Despite that though, I still really enjoyed this book!

Engaging, charming story. I enjoyed the story of private eye Ash and Coco, the English aristocratic socialite with a good heart and questionable de-stressing tactics. As well as being a very sexy story with ample steamy scenes, it is accompanied by appropriate language and vocabulary. The storyline is novel and the characters are well developed, described and likeable. There are plenty of tension points with realistic reactions from the characters. The storyline includes some important life questions and dilemmas that readers will relate to. I was rooting for the protagonists and sure enough, there is a lovely HEA, that rounds this novel off well. I enjoyed the writing style and the fact that the book was well edited. This is a very nice, easy-to-read, romantic story which I can definitely recommend to all romance lovers.

I’ve decided that all Rachael Stewart DARE books should come with a disclaimer. Something along the lines of…
Warning: due to internal heat fluctuations read at your own risk.
Side effects may include, but are not limited to:
Lusting over fictional characters
Hot flashes
Hormone overload
And more significantly, loss of brain cells
*snorts*
Okay, okay – maybe it’s just me *shrugs*.
We readers truly are spoiled, aren’t we? It was only a few short weeks ago we were introduced to Eva and Lucas just in time for Christmas, and now we have Ash and Coco *mini fist pump*.
*sigh*
Do you know what I love? How each of Rachael’s men are so different to one another. Ash Livingston is no exception. I like my men with a bit of rough (alright, alright – I’ll admit it’s my book men because heaven knows I haven’t got any luck in RL *shrugs*), and Ash is scrumdiddlyumptious in the extreme!
But let me be real here for a sec, the man is not without his faults. I’ll admit to not liking him very much to begin with (please note that you can still want to do very naughty things with, and to, someone even if you don’t like them *winks*). A lie by omission is still a lie nonetheless, and Coco needs a warrior to stand by her side. Is Ash capable of being such a person?
My heart went out to Coco. Being treated like a bird in a gilded cage can be no fun for anyone. Can you imagine being held to such a high ideal that you fear stepping one foot out of turn in case you’re stripped of the only love/family you’ve ever known? Ugh, it’s no wonder she relieves stress the way she does and makes no apologies for it too! What a shocker?… not!
As Coco lets Ash in more and more (not just like that you dirty lot!), I was screaming at my kindle for him to reveal the truth. Heart in mouth? *nods* You could say that!
Rachael has taught us that love is more than a one-night stand, temptation can awaken a heart, and when it comes to being naughty or nice, I know which list I want to be on. And last, but my no means least, getting dirty never felt so good!
Getting Dirty is author Rachael Stewart’s latest book in the Harlequin/Mills & Boon DARE line. This one focuses on a private investigator that’s been hired to dig up dirt on a certain socialite. Rachael Stewart and the DARE line are a guaranteed hot read that you’re not going to be able to put down, so I couldn’t wait to dive into this book!
Ash Livingston is a private investigator who loves his job. But his latest target has him questioning his role, feeling guilty, and doubting everything. Coco Lauren plays the socialite to perfection. No one knows she’s suffering inside at the idea of her Grandmother’s imminent death.
What a fantastic story and couple! Rachael Stewart writes some of the best characters and storylines around, and Ash and Coco are no exception. Ash is still hanging on to the hurt and betrayal of a previous relationship. He allows that to blind him in the beginning when he first starts investigating Coco. But fortunately, it doesn’t take him long to figure out Coco is not who he thought she was. I liked that he was able to see her for who she truly was, not the persona she shows to the world. As for Coco, she has been raised to always project perfection. She’s expected to be better than her mother was, and is always reminded of her mother’s past. I felt she had a good heart and needed someone like Ash in her life to love her unconditionally. I loved them both and felt they were a great couple together, and their chemistry was HOT off the charts! But that is no surprise, as this is Rachael Stewart and she is a pro when it comes to explosive chemistry! 😉
Rachael Stewart has proven again why she’s one of my all-time favorite authors! She’s delivered an extremely well written, perfectly paced story with a fabulous couple and an absolutely perfect ending. This story had some interesting secondary characters too that I wouldn’t mind seeing get their own stories at some point. I would love to see Jackson & Phillip each get a story at some time in the future… please! As always with Rachael’s books you get so caught up in the story you don’t even realize time flying by. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what Rachael Stewart has in store for us next, I know I can’t wait! Highly recommend!
