Action and suspense. A story that will hook you from the first page.
Latest “Men of Midnight” book did not disappoint. Matt was sulking In the deep woods when he came upon Honor In the frozen river….A very exciting and page turning book.
Kept me on the edge on my seat, couldn’t put in down.
I have never read a book by this author that I did not LOVE!!
I have every one of Ms. Rice’s books and have always enjoyed the Midnight series but this book fell flat for me. The storyline and the heroine’s subsequent amnesia did not read true to me. Her memory always returned at very opportune moments. She healed from her “very serious” injuries really quickly and easily, and after being held captive by unknown assailants for several days fell in love with her rescuer, another unknown man with few doubts or questions.
I really like this book it had some steam but it didn’t over shadow the story
I absolutely loved this story! It was a nail-biting ride of suspense, and romance with a few tears and laughter thrown in. Ms. Rice is the best at romantic suspense as she balances the story so well. As I tend to love more romance in a story, she always has a plot that makes these two work very well. I adore her midnight men and enjoy catching up on some of the guys as well as their families from previous books in this story. It is always fun to see another midnight guy bite the dust as they fall in love with a strong woman who make their world complete.
I am in love with Lisa Marie Rice’s Men of Midnight series. I’ve been waiting forever for the next book and I was super happy this baby downloaded to my Kindle that I forgo sleep.
The heroes of this series have always been hard and gritty and Matt Walker is no different. However, what set him apart is perhaps how Ms Rice wrote him. His backstory are at times too painful for me to read that I had to stop for a moment, hug my cats and then delve back into the book. It was tough for me to read as I’m a bereaved mother (I lost my eldest daughter to a rare stomach disease last year) so anything to do with death of children, I get triggered. Honor’s backstory is just as horrific too and again, I had to stop and pull myself together before I could continue. I’m glad I did because this could be one of my top 5 books from this series.
I believed in this book, Ms Rice laid the groundwork for the next Men of Midnight hero and I couldn’t wait for the next installment.
Great story line.
I liked the characters and was a good storyline.
One of my favorite authors!
