I love my life. As owner and chef at one of the hottest restaurants, I know how to keep things sizzling in and out of the kitchen. What more could I ask for? But I’ll tell you what I didn’t ask for… a klutzy, curly-haired woman slamming into me with unicorn cake. Yes, you read that right—a damn cake decorated to look like the mythical creature bathed in every color of the rainbow. What could be … could be worse, right? I’ll tell you. My brother hired her to be my pastry chef. You’d think that would be my biggest problem, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Aside from her being one of the clumsiest women I’ve ever met, she turns me on like no other woman has. She tastes sweeter than anything she creates, and we make a great team in and out of the bedroom… I mean kitchen.
When we first met, I worried my restaurant wouldn’t survive her. Now I worry that my heart won’t.
I never wanted to fall in love, but sometimes life isn’t all unicorns and rainbows.

Hooked will do just that to you the reader once you meet Josh and Gia !
Josh Prescott is the youngest of the family and making his way as a reknowned chef. He is talented. smart and it doesn’t hurt that he is tall, tatted and oh so sexy!
Gia is a beautiful, clutzy pastry chef/baker that is give the chance to show off her talent on morning TV. When these two collide …….no literally no one is left with out a bit of unicorn cake on their face! The connection is instant but neither is really sure if it is there ?? They are thrown together as a perfect team and soon realize that besides the behind the scenes as the food dynamic duo it could be so much more . They have a slow sexy funny awkward burn and I Loved it !!I was also so excited to once again be thrown into the Prescott world and fell in love with all of them once again. Love this family !!!

Hooked by Joanne Schwehm is the fifth and last in the ‘Prescott Brothers’ series. It was a slightly slow burning, sweet tale of accidental love. Even though these are in a series, the books are complete standalones and you don’t need to have read any previously. But, to get more out of it, you should. Each of the three older brothers and Josh’s sister have come before and we get little snippets of their life now. I love these kind of family stories and Hooked was deserving of its title, too. I was ‘hooked’ from the outset and captivated until the end, and now I’m sad because it’s all over.
Josh is celebrating the high of his new restaurant being showcased on TV when he bumps into Gia.
Literally.
Gia is on the same TV show as Josh, she was brought in at the last minute and when she’s set to make her entrance, Fate steps in and the rest is left to Karma.
What’s starts as the worst weeks of Gia’s life soon becomes one of the best, as she goes from desperately working from home with her bakery business, to working full time as a pastry chef at Prism, for none other than Josh.
Sparks fly, accidents happen and the chemistry between them is more than palpable. Klutzy Gia and hot chef Josh should be a match made in heaven, but will they merely be a flash in a pan or a never-ending delight?
HOOKED is the fifth book in the Prescott series. Each will stand on their own, but I highly recommend reading all of these delicious stories.
Heart-stopping moments, tears, sighs, … yes this is a true romance between a girl who is bit of a free-spirited geek and a straight-arrowed workaholic. She is a pastry chef and he is a restaurant owner and house chef. That makes them like peanut butter and jelly from the start…. Or better yet, steak (with all of the trimmings) and chocolate cake. For me, that’s the perfect simple yet perfect meal.
You will need a few tissues. You may need a leash on your kindle to keep you from throwing it against the wall. You may want to shake one or both of them on occasion – or the siblings – but you will not want to miss this story.
I know all five siblings have met their “the one,” but there are enough threads to suggest we may get a follow up story. We can only hope.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Oh my happy heart! Hooked is the conclusion to the Prescott Series that I have been waiting for. From the Josh and Gia’s, literal, first run in, I was there for it. There was family and humor and food heat and friendship and heart.
Josh, the baby of the bunch and the one determined not to settle down. Married to his job, and not looking for anything serious gets more than he bargained for when he and Gia collide, literally. His second encounter with Gia didn’t fare much better than the first. And when he learns the news that she’ll be working for him, he for sure thought it was going to be a recipe for disaster.
Gia was so adorably awkward that I couldn’t help but root for her. From her glasses to her curly hair she was a mess of color and creativity. Her talent in the kitchen more than impressed Josh. And as they spent time working together, he found himself drawn to her more and more. To say these two were electric together would be an understatement. They were dynamic and hot and I could feel the emotions building every time they came together. So color Josh surprised when he realizes he went and did the thing he thought we could never do, fall for a woman.
And when it was all on the line, it was Josh who made the hard choice. I shook my kindle and went “noooooooooo!”even though it was the right thing to do…But fate, the good ol’ fickle thing she is, decided she wasn’t quite done with Josh and Gia yet. I can say I didn’t see that one coming but I am beyond thrilled this panned out the way it did. And that ending, talk about perfection. Nothing else would’ve done this book, and this series justice. Hooked was bittersweet. While I am sad to say farewell to the Prescott’s, I loved all of their journey’s. And the way Joanne Schwehm gave me glimpses into all the siblings futures left me more than satisfied.
Another fantastic book from Joanne!! I love all of the Prescott siblings books, but I think Josh has now become my favorite!!! He meets Gia when she literally runs into him. Their connection is mortification at first but quickly turns into so much more. I love the banter between them! This book is just everything! It brings out all the feels!! I love a book that will have you literally laughing out loud at times and swooning at others. I highly recommend reading this book!!!
Josh and Gia were amusing from beginning to end. They were funny from the beginning because of the way they met. Her clumsiness at first infuriated Josh but then he liked it. They had so much in common in which they both enjoyed the kitchen. He was an executive chef and she was a pastry chef. These two had some very funny moments which was great to read and of course there was his family which is never a dull moment. It was great reading on all the Prescott’s and how easily Gia fit into their world. The epilogue was fitting for Josh and Gia.
