A small Kansas town has turned into a killing ground. Is it a serial killer, a man with the need to destroy?Or is it a darker force, a curse upon the land?Amid golden cornfields, FBI Special Agent Pendergast discovers evil in the blood of America’s heartland. No one is safe.
I am a huge fan of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. They’ve created a world revolving around a singularly unique main character, FBI Agent Aloysius Pendergast. He is one of the most compelling characters I’ve ever read in the literary world and I find myself thinking about him when my mind is not otherwise occupied. There are more than 15 books …
Pendergast is officially my favorite detective. He is absolutely peculiar beyond anything reasonable yet I love when he puts non-believers in their place. Preston & Child have created a uniquely appealing character that has an immense personality for readers to lock onto. Still Life with Crows is no exception… from his arrival in town and …
Like pretty much every book Preston and Child release, Still life with crows was Great. I read this after Cabinet of Curiosities, which was my first P&C book and one of my favorites. Everything after including this convinced me that when they write together, they are one of the best in the Genre. You can’t go wrong with any of the Agent Pendergast …
If I had to recommend a single standalone book from the Pendergast series, this is easily it.
A tight and eerie story that makes fantastic use of the sense of isolation the authors have created with their location. It feels like it’s happening on an island in the empty expanse of the Midwest. And by tying the creepiest aspects of the crime spree …
This was the first book I read by these authors and realized they fulfilled all my desires in reading that I soon collected all their works of the Pendergast life.
This is the first of Preston & Child’s books I’ve read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be tearing through the rest. So lovely to find a new author as I read 3-4 books per week.
If you haven’t tried them..do so. Great entertainment.
This was the first Pendergast book I read and I’ve been a fan ever since. I went back and started reading the series from the beginning after. If you haven’t read any of the series I can’t recommend it enough. Agent Pendergast is a special character that will never disappoint and continue to surprise you throughout each new adventure.
Pendergast is my favorite fictional character.
Love these books.
Recommend any books by these authors. They are brilliant and the stories will hold you to the very end. You never know where they are going to lead you.
I loved this book! So far this is my favorite in the Pendergast series. There were just a couple of spots that I thought were a bit slow, but just as I started to think that, boom, it picked right up. I sat up until a little after 2:30 in the morning finishing the last third of the book. There was no way I was going to put the book down and go …
INTERESTING PLOT AND GREAT DETECTIVE SKILLS.
