“Last time I looked we worked as Bear Creek Bodyguards, not Bear Creek Babysitters.” Army veteran, Flint, has protected people all his life. But children? He doesn’t know the first thing about children.Fate sidestepped this silverback bear shifter when it came to finding his mate and having bear cubs of his own. So when he’s asked to help protect a couple of children, Flint is not sure he’s the … of children, Flint is not sure he’s the man for the job.
However, fate might just have something special in store for Flint when he agrees to take the job.
His mate.
Jenna is on the run with two children. Her job is to keep them alive. And to stop them falling into the hands of bad men, who want to use them to get to their mom who is an investigative reporter. But Jenna can’t do it alone.
One phone call later and Flint is on the way to help them. But when Jenna meets Flint, it soon becomes clear that he is offering more than his protection. He’s offering his love, loyalty, and—if needed—his life.
Can these two fated mates work together to keep the children safe and make sure the bad men are bought to justice.

I really enjoyed this story. I liked the connection between Flint and Jenna. Jenna was hired as a Nanny with extra-skills as she’s a ex-police officer to look after Laurel and Thomas for their mum Cynthia who’s an investigative reporter who has some bad men on her tail. She never gave Jenna any indication of who is after them and for what reason as Cynthia said it would be safer if she didn’t know and that she couldn’t trust the police as the person has a lot of money and connections so trust no one. Some men come and try and take the kids but after a warning message from Cynthia, Jenna got the kids out safely and is on the run with them, she calls the only person she knows she can trust her ex-police partner Guy who runs Bear Creek Protectors so he can send someone their way to help her keep the kids safe. Flint really isn’t keen being the one to help Jenna keep the kids safe but after hearing a bit more about the situation he heads their way. The last thing Flint was expecting when he arrived at the motel door was to scent his mate nor did he expect to like Laurel and Thomas so much. I found Laurel and Thomas adorable and loved how as time went on seeing Flint learn to love them like they were his own. They even made him open up his heart to the possibility of having children with Jenna even if they’re not theirs biologically, they could adopt as there are plenty of children that need homes. Cynthia is a complete rockstar being the voice of those who can’t speak and helping break up a child traffi*king ring and those involved so they can be brought to justice. I’m looking forward to reading Cynthia’s story next as she needs a happily ever after considering something bad happened to her husband that may have to do with her investigation and I’m looking forward to getting more of the cuteness of Laurel and Thomas. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Bear shifter Flint retired from the army and joined the Bear Creek Bodyguards, Jenna was sworn to serve and protect until she chose to freelance for more money to pay for her niece’s expensive medical care. At first glance Flint knew that she was his very long awaited mate, but Jenna came to understand that this gruff man was not only devoted to her but the children they were protecting. The bad guys eventually get caught and these good guys get to have the life they thought had passed them by.
Excellent read!
Another amazing book from Harmony. Amazing charactors and a really good story about child abductions and sexual slavery and a reporter who is trying to take them down while she has someone protecting her childern. She has help from the bear creek protectors and a race to protect the children at all costs.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Babysitter Bear by Harmony Raines is Book 3 in the Bear Creek Protectors series. The stories are linked by characters and are more enjoyable if read in series order. But despite being part of a series, this book can be read as stand alone. Flint and Jenna’s story is full of excitement, drama and the awkwardness of new romance complicated by being on the run. I really enjoyed this read. You can’t help but want to read faster than you can flip the pages. A great addition to the Bear Creek Protector series and if you haven’t read Harmony Raines before, a great introduction to her creative and loveable style.
