Total game changer of an ending. I did not see that coming. Sophie’s world is turned upside down in this book, and I’m not even sure how to talk about it without spoilers, so I will just say I am loving this series. The stories do build on each other, so read book 1 first 🙂
Sometimes, I find that the second book in a series fizzles out after any excitement built from the first. That wasn’t at all the case here. While many of the relationships had a predictable path, I was a tangle of nerves throughout most of the book as our characters set out to complete Mother Nature’s mission, faced unexpected odds, and ultimately found themselves at the mercy of some very interesting twists.
Much like the first book, while the main action of the story comes to a partial conclusion by book’s end, this is clearly part of an overall series and won’t be seen as altogether satisfying for some. Especially with an ending that has me waiting rather anxiously for the next edition.

Sophie is use to her life being turned up side down by Mother but what happens when Valor, Hagan, Carrigan and even Jonas gets stuck in the cross hairs.
This is one exciting adventure where not all is what it seems to be. There are plenty of emotions both past and present. The multiple POV’s allows for the story to be told from all sides with reactions and thoughts to events that would be missed other wise.

The reader gets a couple of really good revelations in this second book. It leaves you ready to read the next one right away. It was fun to read the second part of the adventures of Sophie, Cary, Hagan, Jonas and Valor. In personality, more people should be like Sophie as far as how she sees the humanity in others and treats them all like they have value. The what happened during a scene of the ending was pretty cool, can’t wait to find out what happens when the characters all realize what actually happened that night…

This so not your average boys meet girl, girl falls in love with “all” the boys and”just can’t make up my mind” and then boys-girl form a Reverse Harem. (I know long explanation, but worth it, I promise). First off, Sophia is a magical null on a mission and her guys are all magically broken some how but all need her because of their brokenness **Warning approaching possible spoiler**
She doesn’t form a romatic relationship with all 4 of her guys, though she does with 2; she doesn’t even like 1 of them the majority of the time. This dynamic of mostly strangers coming together and feeling this connection between them, but not all of them feeling the connection the same, I really like this concept. By getting the benefit of varying characters’ prosceptives on their growing feelings and struggles toward, not only Sophia, but each other, you start to see more depth of the characters. It is a nice change that I didn’t even know I appreciated until I saw it was an option in the RH-theme. Definitely a story a eagerly look forward to following
