Tired of being a virgin, Jae hires male escort, Heath, to be his first lover. When the first time isn’t enough, Jae finds himself spiralling into a cycle of love for hire. Can a relationship, built on a foundation of sex for money, really work?
I was very excited to read one of my prefered authors writing under her new penname, Crystal Snow.
The synopsis for this story sounded interesting and I was eager to begin.
I enjoyed the character interactions right away and could almost feel Jae’s nerves. Although this isn’t a genre that I normally read, I fell in love with these characters from the start and grew invested in wanting to know what would happen between them.
Watching the arrangement between Jae and Heath develop into something more (even though they were both unwilling to acknowledge it) was frustrating. I wanted to shake some sense into both of them and make them see how real their feelings had become. The angst of this situation was well-written for sure.
Chapter 19 really showed the depth of the plot of this book and had me feeling emotional right along with the characters.
More evidence of the depth came when Jae and Heath did finally acknowledge their feelings and other complications presented themselves. I wanted them to be happy, but things continued to get in the way. I was on the edge of my seat as I read all of the twists and turns that they were encountering along the way.
The end of Chapter 36 left me with feelings of unease as I watched from the sidelines, speechless at the possible turn of events.
Snow was phenomenal in the writing of this book. The characters were vivid with all of their real emotions and uncertainties. The more I read, the more I adored Jae and Heath’s story. There were so many layers to work through and I truly enjoyed the journey.
The book did take a few turns that I hadn’t seen coming and these certainly added to the complications and suspense. It was a crazy ride, but by the end, once all the secrets were out in the open, I felt pleased with the way things ended.

ouch Me Now is a story of a young innocent man who no longer wants to remain innocent. His method maybe somewhat questionable to some yet extremely valid and sensible to others, who are we to judge? What comes across the most is the message that intimacy, whether it be with a male and female, male and male, female and female or whatever combination, is to be treasured and not taken for granted.
There is plenty of mystery throughout the story that has you intrigued and quietly guessing, whether you are right or not isn’t the point, it’s the fun of trying to solve the puzzle of Heath with the little pieces that are scattered here and there. I have to admit I actually thought it was something different! Heath is a very complex character, the author does a fabulous job of slowly building up his description to the point where you really feel you know him.
This is also a story about best friends and how deep and lasting their relationship can be, how supportive and reliable they can be to each other. But it’s also about deceptions and the consequences of these secrets, bigotry rears it’s ugly head as well too.
I have to admit the yo yo relationship between Heath and Jae became a little old and I was nearly ready to knock their heads together even though I understood where both were coming from. Ultimately it is a story about trust and love.
