DAX:My job is putting out fires–PR fires, that is. Partner in one of the most prestigious PR firms in Hollywood, I’ve lived most of my life helping others stay in the spotlight but keeping as far away from it myself as humanly possible.Enter Jace Kruse.#HottieFirefighter is the hashtag everyone is using for the overnight Insta-star who made headlines when a pic of him with a pooch he saved from … of him with a pooch he saved from a runaway vehicle went viral. Doesn’t have anything to do with my life until a major potential client shows interest in an endorsement deal with the internet sensation, and Jace becomes my ticket to stomping the ass of one of my company’s fiercest competitors.
Problem is: Jace isn’t swayed by dreams of fame and fortune. He prefers his down-to-earth life in Fever Falls and has turned down every company who’s approached him to leech off his recently acquired celebrity status.
But where others have failed, I’m confident I can succeed. If there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s persuading. And after a few encounters with Jace, the easy-go-lucky, ever-charming, sexy-as-hell, and surprisingly #topcurious firefighter has me persuading him about more than signing on for an endorsement deal.
He may be good at putting out fires, but Jace sure knows how to start them in the bedroom…and then in my heart. However, between his rising star power and the intensity of my feelings, I know where this inferno is leading, and if we don’t put it out soon, someone’s gonna get burned.
#BURN is part of the Fever Falls series but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

How could you not smile through most of this book with a sweetheart like Jace Kruse as one of the main characters?! Jace and Dax were an unlikely pair, but I ended up really liking them together.
After becoming a viral sensation, Jace finds himself turning down publicity left and right…but there’s one offer he can’t seem to turn down – the opportunity to work with Dax’s company, largely due to the connection he feels with the man himself.
Dax is the impetus of Jace’s bisexual awakening and Jace shows Dax that opening yourself up to a relationship isn’t as scary as it seems. They really are good for each other – pushing each other to relax, take time for themselves and enjoy the little things. They both keep parts of themselves hidden to each other and the rest of the world, but seeing them finally trusting one another to show their true colors was so sweet.
Jace’s reasoning for accepting Dax’s company’s offer was one of the purest things I’ve ever read…he really was a one in a million type of guy. And Dax’s genuine concern for Jace’s well-being and mindset because of his celebrity really showed he was more than what he let most of the world see too.
My biggest struggle in this story was Serena. Even after her redemption arc toward the end, I still had a hard time believing her true intentions when it came to Dax, Jace and the rest of the Kruse family. Her disregard for her son and almost everything about him was irredeemable in my eyes, even if she did end up making a better choice in the end.
Another sweet installment in the Fever Falls series…can’t wait for Lincoln’s story next and Carter’s story down the road!
Even though part of the story took place in Fever Falls, Dax and Jace really could be read as a stand alone. A lot of books in other series say this but normally you have to read in order to understand the book you are on but this author was able to create a completely different story while using the same back drop and secondary characters from the first book. I loved Dax and Jace’s love story and how neither one wanted a relationship but ended up falling in love in the end. I cannot wait to see where this series takes us in the future!
I adored this book! It’s my favorite of the series so far. Jace is one of my favorite fictional characters ever. He was swoony and charming.
I can’t wait to see what else this series brings!
I did not like this book as well as the first book in the series; however, they were written by different authors. It took a while to get into the story, but it does eventually get there. I still recommend reading it, but don’t try to compare it to the first book.
I really enjoyed this one. Great, sexy chemistry between the two H’s. I love how self-assured Jace was…even in the face of all this new in his life. He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to own that.
I definitely recommend both this one and the first in the series, although both books work perfectly well as stand-alones.
What is it about Fever Falls that has me fanning myself like crazy? Jace was adorable as the hottie firefighter with a heart of gold. I loved this sweet romance and seeing how Dax and Jace navigated the Hollywood fame machine. These two burn up the pages and I could not put this story down. Muy caliente.
Dax is a PR rep that is tasked with hiring the newest viral star Hottie Firefighter. Jace is a small town firefighter who was in the right place at the right time. When the two meet up unexpected sparks fly.
This was a great GFY story. This is the second book in the Fever Falls series. They can be read as standalones, whoever characters in the first book reappear in this one. Plenty of heat balanced with bits of angst. Both guys were likable and sexy own their own. Together they are incendiary. Terrific writing and side characters (Nance and Carter) make this a must read!
This is book two in the connected series of Fever falls. I loved this book it is an amazing story of Jace and Dax. I love this series and the town of Fever Falls. Burn is book two in the series it is the story of firefighter Jace who rescues a shar pei And then becomes an internet sensation. Dax is the PR guy who convinced him to become a spokesperson for a company. This is a sweet and hot story of how these to men come together and fall in love.
#Burn is a fun, beautiful, sexy story. I just loved the dynamics between Jace and Dax. Each has their own strong personality but they compliment each other perfectly. The give and take between these two was so much fun to see.
What starts out as “just some fun” quickly becomes much more than either anticipated or was ready for. I loved how open and honest they were with each other. No game playing or false drama. There is so much heat between Jace and Dax that it burns up the pages. They also just get each other. They challenge each other. They support each other.
The secondary characters added so much depth the this wonderful story. I’m looking foward to more i this series.
