I loved this series. The characters were lovable, the storyline was full of humor and I was engaged from the very beginning. The author created a believable world with characters who came alive through excellent prose and dialogue. The story contained a cast of characters I’m hoping the author will explore in future stories because I’m not ready to say goodbye yet. There was a bit of drama and intrigue but mostly the reader will relish the awesomeness that is the main character – one that I fell in love with. Teenage angst is also present as is the believable familial connection. Wonderfully written, I hope you enjoy just as much as I did. Recommend
The I’m No Princess series is a sweet, funny YA royal romance. I fell in love with Tati from the first page. She is klutzy, spunky, endearing, and trying to navigate the upperclass world as she goes to live with her noble father and sister. Tati reminds me a bit of myself and because of that, I found her relatable. She is also the type of girl that I would have loved for a best friend. The three princes are all swoon worthy. Nico had me laughing with all of his flirting antics and I have a soft spot Konstantin. Dmitri – sigh, swoon. I just adored him. I also loved Tati’s father. He is like that cool dad who straddles the line between father and friend. There are of course a few villains full of disdain and the underlying civil unrest within the country. Considering these books are novellas, the author did a great job of crafting well-developed likable characters. The storyline is engaging and the novellas moved at a good pace. The author did leave the potential for future novellas from the other princes – at least I hope they get their own stories!
I was only able to read one of these books so I was thrilled when I saw that the whole collection was an ARC on Booksprout. This collection had elements of humor, romance, and the ugly duckling vibe. It was so different and so easy to become attached to the characters. Just like all good books, this had its good moments and it bad one too. The last book brought it home it was the best one as far as I am concern. This is a series that I am letting my older grandson’s girlfriend read and so far she feels the same way I do it is really a must read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
