In this exciting installment of the Only Human series the big battle is getting closer and things are beginning to heat up even more as Cora becomes Alpha of her own pack, Kirsten’s life comes precariously close to ending…more than once, Kirsten and Abbott have a near miss with their own battle and Kirsten still has to deal with all those pesky evil European vampires and their politics.
As usual when reading one these novels, the pace of the story takes place at fast clip, has lots of things going on at once and readers never have a chance to look up from the pages. The suspense and anticipation builds throughout with lots of intense and dangerous situations, lots of emotionally tense situations and the navigating of supernatural politics that seem to have a never ending set of rules, which Kirsten seems to butt heads with on several occasions. Kirsten also likes to throw rules out the book when comes to her own personal gifts or powers which keeps everybody guessing at just what will happen. Lots of twists and turns also keep readers on their toes while Kirsten and Ryan search for a serial killer and in the romance department, Nathan and Kirsten are still trying to come to terms with everything that’s happened between them while Kirsten and Mordecai’s relationship seems to be going in an unexpected direction. OMG, readers, this story has lots going on and a never ending supply of wit, tough as nails grit and dangerous thrills so I have to tell you that once again, I was so caught up in the non-stop stunning excitement of this story that I forgot fix supper.
Life is changing for Kirsten and the supernatural community. The war between good and evil is coming yet life goes on. Cora is founding her pack and they have to find Kirsten’s place in or out of it. This story is high intensity action on the way to the battle yet to come. A rocking good read.
Oh, where to begin? There was so much going on in this story as we race towards the big battle. Everyone is showing up, briefly, regularly, mentioned in passing, and they all are gearing up, making alliances, calling out enemies, or trying to do the right things. A little bit of possessive males, an awesome revenge, and a perfect power play start us off with a bang.
A fair amount of focus is on Kirsten and Cora, as they move onto their land and start to branch out on their own. So many small and moving parts to getting them settled, but the one thing that stays evident is that they are more in sync then they ever were before
New shifters come into play in this story, and no, still no hint on Isaac. New characters, and not sure if they are good or bad. The ties between the supernaturals living in Chattanooga can’t have any fractures, yet, nobody is being completely honest it seems
Girl power! (yes random, but totally relevant)
And we leave the calm before the storm with a simple bonding between mother and child. Kirsten and Lauren enjoy some peace and quiet, and the simple parts of everyday life. It most definitely set the calm after the chaos, and it absolutely feels like it will be a short reprieve.
You’ll be vibrating wanting more after you finish this story!!!
this book drove me crazy and there is more to come !!!!
People, this book is … just … vauuuuuuu
as soon as you start reading these series, one thing stands out – Kirsten does what Kirsten wants. and this streak is even stronger now.
Brand new adventures, happy endings, troubles and headaches for our favorite redhair and a whole lot of characterless thrown into a pre-BIG-battle mess. where to start with this review ???? and what to say first?
new home, new Pack, new fighting, new (old) evil bitch, new Gods/demons/supernaturals, new ass-kicking, new man drama … sounds interesting ?!?! add to this our favorite bikers, dragon, swan, whole bunch of vampires, Gods of old, (OMG, this list is long) … big kitties, you get our favorite Chattanooga gang and all the drama that is brewing there.
but jokes aside, as the six book in the series its challenging to keep the momentum, but Candace must posses some serious magic muse cause this series just gets better and more interesting. and the best is yet to come. this book will test your memory (thank God for the Cast of Characters) and general knowledge of some myths and history (thank you google), but all in all its a AWESOME read !!
now, if you excuse me, I need to have a word with a certain author about a certain couple.
happy reading !!
Candace Blevins weaves an amazing tale again! Infinitely Human, the latest in her Only Human series, builds on relationships and backdrops for the final battle between good and evil. I love Kristen and her blunt honesty and kick butt ways! This is a series where it’s best to start at the beginning as the characters are so intertwined. However, if you start here and love it, you’re guaranteed to love all that’s gone before!
You might think that when you get to Book 6 in a series things might get a little mundane or repetitive. Well in this case you would be very wrong. The action, and there’s lots of it, is new and refreshingly fast and breathtaking causing me to say out loud OMG!! and more than once.
Once again Kirsten’s activities has her humanity being judged. And her relationship with Cora and her pack is under a microscope from the powers that be as well.
It’s like a wild ride on a roller coaster and great fun!
As fast as I read one book in this series or any of her other ones, I await for any hint, any blurb Ms. Blevins might give on her group page about the next one.
Another winner and I loved it!I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review not necessarily a positive one.
Oh wow, Ms Blevins did it again. Book 6 definitely keeps you so totally engrossed from beginning to end that you won’t want to put it down, I know I didn’t. There is so much intrigue, twists and turns, it will keep you on the edge of your seat and blow your mind away.
I loved it so much that I read it twice.
Thank you Ms Blevins for making the characters so alive that you feel as if you are actually seeing the events unfold in your minds eye. Utter escapism at its best.
Infinitely Human is quite enthralling. Candace Blevins really packed it with action, intrigue, suspense and so much more. Kirsten, Cora and all the Chattanooga supernaturals continue preparing for the war they know is coming. There are side forays and faceoffs with old allies and new enemies. This book is truly exciting and the buildup to the final chapter of the Only Human series which promises to be epic!
I don’t know if I can express how excited I am when I read the continuation story of Kirsten O’Shea. This story is full of adventure, many surprises, many supernaturals and more than likely the beginning of the big fight.
Kirsten has got to be one of my favorite characters to read, she is a superwoman, she is tough but also tender, she can take it as well as give it (and boy do some of the bad guys get it!), her little family is so important, especially because now it’s growing into a Pack. Cora becomes an Alpha of her own pack and since she and Kirsten share a bond, the Pack somewhat belongs to her as well.
So many other things go down in this story, much I can’t express here because they are spoilers, but wow some of those things that happen just totally surprised me. I cannot wait for the next story, want to find out how the storyline continues in the life of Kirsten O’Shea.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I hate to go all fan girl and gush in a review, but…this one is soooo good. Like all the books in the series this one is extremely fast paced, but still incredibly rich in detail. We get a few new characters, but the story mostly focuses on established characters.
Kirstin started out as a character I wasn’t crazy about, yet through the series she has become a favorite character for me. I really like her toughness, yet we still see vulnerability when it comes to her family and close friends. I love the bond with Cora, and really hope to see her and Nathan get back on stable ground.
I’ve read every book in the series, but every time I read a new book I feel like I’m missing out on so many details because of what I’ve forgotten from previous books. This book makes me want to go back and binge read every book from the series just to get caught back up.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I’m on the edge of my seat! As we approach the big battle we are all holding our breaths to see where everyone is going to land. Do we really know who is on the side of good and who will be on the side of evil? This is one of my favorite series and I don’t want to see it end but I can’t wait to see how everything pans out.
As usual we have a great story around Kirsten and her relationships, romantic and not. I absolutely love watching how she takes in all of the information that is constantly flowing around her. The battle between good and evil is bound to be epic but because Kirsten is fighting it good has got to come out on top, right? I guess we will see. Again one of my all time favorite series and author.
Book 6 in the Only Human series is here, it’s here. And that filled me with both joy and sorrow. Joy, because it’s FINALLY HERE; and sorrow because once it’s read, I’ll once again be left waiting for the next book. Bit of a Catch-22 if you ask me.
So, let’s get to it. If you haven’t taken the plunge into the world of Chattanooga Supernaturals, you need to. Candace Blevins is a superb storyteller and her ability to overlay the different timelines and stories requires the skills of a true Tetris mistress, which she succeeds at and then some. In the Only Human series (you need to start at book 1), we are witness to the growth and evolution of Kirsten (still human) as she must traverse the very sticky supernatural world where protocol, hierarchy and image often matter more than reality. In “Infinitely Human”, Kirsten is stepping back into the foray, as well as dealing with some powerful supernaturals who had their noses bent out of shape.
For me, this IS urban fantasy at its best. Ms. Blevins doesn’t apologize for what her characters need to do, and being witness to this phenomenal series as the big battle draws closer (take your time!) fills me with a level of anticipation that I rarely achieve with my reading. This is definitely storytelling at its finest.
With book #6 in a series you often get a slightly faded continuation of same ol’, same ol’. And then you get something like this.
With every new book in this series Ms Blevins ramps up the heat, the tempo, the new developments.
You really have to keep on your toes not to miss anything.
The atmosphere gets more intense with every page. You can feel there is something big coming.
And still, there are moments in between for family, friends, new alliances, and mending of old wounds.
As always Ms Blevins weaves an all encompassing tapestry of all the forces co-mingling in this, her world.
I can’t get enough of this!
