3,5* action packed and adventurous
What I really liked while reading this book was that almost each chapter was from different point of view and gave different perspective on the events. That let the plot to flow effortlessly. And allow to have visibility on the whole adventure. Additional twists in the story line made it even more interesting. I hope in the next part the mysteries and hidden truths would be slowly unravelled and I could enjoy this story even more. I really connected with two main protagonists but I also enjoyed the other characters who were not always the good ones.
What was sometimes distracting was the editing or lack of it. English is not my first language but I can spot words being twisted or used in the wrong way. Also in the epilogue I was confused what was the name of the person and if it was only one or two of them…??? Still not sure on that one.
All in all the adventure presented on the pages is a good one and I spent very nice time reading this novel and I hope to read more about these characters.
I always enjoy the stories that this author weaves.
This story is about the trial and tribulations that brother & sister, Brenden and Keira have in a very
intricate plot.
People aren’t what they seem to be and motives are concealed from Brenden and Keira.
The one thing for certain is the love between brother and sister. It was so heartwarming to read.
As usual there is a real plot twist at the end of this story which leaves you hanging to read the next
in the saga.
I can’t wait to read the next installment.
This is a must read author who you won’t regret spending you hard earned money on.
I’m a fan of K.N. Lee and her stories, this one being no exception. She’s given us a brother and sister raised to become thieves by the man who, unknown to them, killed their parents. A YA story for sure, but anyone with an imagination and love of all things magical will easily become enchanted. Spelling and grammatical errors were a prominent and confusing, especially the use of ‘loot’, both for stolen treasure and the bathroom, but once engrossed in the tale my mind seemed to correct those without too much analytical thought. A great start to what could become a greater series.
